BLOOMFIELD, CONN. — The Lightstone Group has negotiated a lease with K&G Theatres for Bloomfield 8 Cinemas at the Wintonbury Mall in Bloomfield. The 28,000-square-foot theatre is set to open this spring. Other tenants at Wintonbury Mall, which is located at 865 Park Ave., include State Farm Insurance, Citi Financial and the Arthur Murray Dance Center.

NEW YORK CITY — Dmitri Gourianov of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates has brokered the $1.25 million sale of 1030/1032 Wyckoff Ave. in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens, New York City. The single-story, 50,000-square-foot warehouse facility features a 2,500-square-foot land parcel, as well as drive-in doors and high ceilings. Gourianov represented the buyer, LS Sign Co., and Chou’s Realty represented the seller, 1030 Wyckoff Ave LLC, in the transaction.
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — The New Brunswick Development Corp. is set to develop the 600,000-square-foot, approximately 30-story New Brunswick Cultural Center. The project will include a fully integrated performing arts center that will include renovations and improvements to the historical State Theatre, new and expanded facilities for NBCC member companies, which will include performance venues, rehearsal and educational spaces, state-of-the-art operational facilities and administrative offices. The project will also include a 20-story residential tower with 200 market-rate condominiums, a 12-story Class A office tower, 11,000 square feet of retail space, an underground parking structure and public spaces. The $275 million facility is being designed by Ehrenkrantz Eckstut & Kuhn Architects.
CANTON, MASS. — Richards Barry Joyce (RBJ) has brokered the $5.1 million sale of 275 Dan Rd., a 99,869-square-foot office building in Canton. The building is currently fully occupied by Organogenesis, a regenerative medicine company. Richard Herlihy and Michael Frisoli of RBJ represented the seller CWCapital Asset Management, and Sean Teague of DTZ FHO Partners procured the buyer, Rugby Realty Co., in the transaction.
PRINCETON, N.J. — Novo Nordisk has signed a 167,000-square-foot lease at 1100 Campus Rd., a five-story Class A office building in the Princeton Corporate Campus in Princeton. The lease represents an expansion of Novo Nordisk’s U.S. headquarters. Steve Tolkach of Newmark Knight Frank represented the leasee in the transaction, and Crimson Services represented the building owners, a joint venture comprised of the Patrinely Group and USAA Real Estate Co.
TINTON FALLS, N.J. — Onyx Equities has completed renovations on two existing office buildings located at 766 Shrewsbury Ave. in Tinton Falls. One building consists of 45,000 square feet within four stories, and the second building contains 26,000 square feet within two stories. Interior renovations included the upgrades to the entry lobbies, elevators and common areas. Exterior renovations are slated for this spring. Current medical tenants include Atlantic Diagnostics. David Zimmel and Joel Natter of Zimmel Associates are marketing the facilities.
ELIZABETH, N.J. — AMB Property Corp. and Portview Properties have completed phase I of the redevelopment of AMB Portview Commerce Center in Elizabeth. Phase I included the redevelopment of a 144,000-square-foot distribution center. Phase II will comprise 215,000 square feet across two facilities. Redevelopment of phase II is set to begin first quarter 2009 with completion slated by fourth quarter 2009. WW Grainger has signed a 25,000-square-foot lease in the first building. Colliers Houston is the exclusive leasing agent for the site.
PHILADELPHIA — Vesper Property Group has acquired 1619 Walnut St., a 39,305-square-foot, mixed-use building in Philadelphia. Located in city’s retail district, the six-story building contains 15,000 square feet of office space. Tenants include Claflen Associates, a local architecture firm, and Brasserie Perrier, a famed Philadelphia restaurant.
NEW YORK CITY — Efrat Sharon of CB Richard Ellis’ Capital Markets Group in New York has arranged a $3.2 million construction loan on behalf of RGS Holdings. The borrower plans to develop a six-story condominium building located at 271 W. 122nd St. in the neighborhood of Harlem in Manhattan, New York City. The loan was funded by Bank of Smithtown.
