PHOENIX – The Consulate General of the United Mexican States has signed a five-year lease for 24,216 square feet of office space at McDowell Corporate Center in Phoenix. The Mexican Consulate is expanding and relocating from a building near 15th Avenue and West Camelback Road. It will occupy about 70 percent of McDowell Corporate Center. The Consulate was represented by Tivon Moffit of Colliers International in Phoenix. The landlord, Abart Properties 26 LLC, was represented by Luke Walker and David Carder of CBRE’s Phoenix office.

SAN FRANCISCO — Kilroy Realty Corporation (KRC)has announced its plan to build a $200-million, 400,000-square-foot office building in San Francisco’s South of Market (SOMA) district. The 0.43-acre development site, which is located at 350 Mission Street, was purchased by KRC for $52 million. The 27-story tower is being designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. It is targeting LEED-Platinum certification. If successful, it will be the first ground-up commercial development inSan Franciscoto achieve this feat. The Class A office property is 100 percent leased and is situated within Union Center Plaza adjacent to Union Station. It is leased to a variety of tenants, including CNN, Accenture and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). NEW YORK CITY — Medidata Solutions, a clinical development solutions company, has signed a 10-year lease for 98,585 square feet at 350 Hudson St. in New York City. The company will occupy the 7th, 8th and 9th floors. Additional tenants at the building include Viacom, Horizon Media and Omnicom. NEW YORK CITY — American Realty Capital New York Recovery REIT has purchased a 19,960-square-foot office and retail building in Brooklyn's Homecrest neighborhood for $13.2 million. The four-story building was built in 2009 and is located at 1623 Kings Highway. The property is fully occupied by Verizon Wireless, a karate studio and Interborough Development and Consultation Center. Brian Hanson of Massey Knakal represented both parties in the transaction.
SHARON, MASS. — 1-800-PACK-RAT LLC has signed a lease for 40,000 square feet at 31 Commercial St., an office and warehouse facility in Sharon.
