SOUTHFIELD, MICH. — Health Care Partners Inc. has signed a lease for 16,441 square feet of office space at 18000 W. Nine Mile Road in Southfield. The tenant is a full service home health care provider that assists individuals with a variety of home health care needs. Dan Verderbar of Friedman Real Estate Group represented the tenant in the transaction. FSP Southfield Centre Ltd. leased the property for an undisclosed price.
BOSTON — The U.S. Green Building Council has awarded LEED-Gold certification to 33 Arch Street in Boston. The designation was awarded under the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance program. The building rises 33 stories and contains 600,000 square feet of Class A office space. It is located in the heart of the city's Financial District. A joint venture between AREA Property Partners and SITQ owns the building, which was constructed in 2006, and recently completed a $3 million renovation program. DALLAS — International Electric Supply Co. has leased 92,000 square feet from Equastone in The Addison, which is located at 14951 N. Dallas Parkway in Dallas. The Class A office building was formerly Comp USA's national headquarters. Jackson Cooksey's Michael Quint and Jim Cooksey represented the tenant. Reid Caldwell and Kim Butler of Transwestern represented the landlord.
SYOSSET, N.Y. — Newmark Knight Frank has completed the 13,000-square-foot sale of an office building located at 75 Jackson Ave. in Syosset for $2.55 million. The buyer is a joint venture between Glen Cove. N.Y.-based General Anesthesia Services and Lake Success, N.Y.-based Lion & Company CPA's. Both businesses plan to relocate their operations to the building by this summer. Scott Berfas and Michael Sliver of Newmark Knight Frank represented the buyer. Real Estate Strategies, Ltd., represented the seller, SJS Realty.
BOSTON — Satcon Technology Corp. has signed a lease for 19,845 square feet of space in Boston for its development and testing facility. The tenant will occupy space on the first floor of 21-23-25 Drydock Ave., an 820,000-square-foot building within Marine Industrial Park. Thomas Ashe of Richards Barry Joyve & Partners represented the landlord, an affiliate of Millennium Partners, in the lease. Satcon provided in-house representation. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
ORLANDO, FLA. — Roger B. Kennedy Inc. has completed construction of the 32,000-square-foot Lake Nona Village Center Building 10. The $2.6 million, two-story property is located at 9685 Lake Nona Village Place in Orlando. Developed by Lake Nona Village II LLC, Maitland, Fla.-based Charlan Brock & Associates designed the property. Building 10 houses the 3,082-square-foot world headquarters of Annika Enterprises.
CARRBORO, N.C. — PACE Academy has signed a 21,384-square-foot lease with SHM Properties for space in the Harris Building. The property, which is located at 308 N.C. Highway 54 Bypass in Carrboro, is now 100 percent leased. Grubb & Ellis|Thomas Linderman Graham's Arnold Siegmund and Churchill Bunn represented the landlord in the transaction.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Golvsky and Popeo has signed a 55,000-square-foot lease renewal with Beacon Properties at the 350,000-square-foot Market Square. The law firm has occupied space in the office building, which is located at 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW in Washington, since 1991. The lease will keep the firm in Market Square for 10 more years. Cassidy & Pinkard's Phillip Thomas represented the landlord. Lois Zambo and Steve London of Studley represented the tenant.
DUBLIN, OHIO — Wells Real Estate Funds has acquired Sterling Commerce Center I-IV in Dublin. Duke Realty sold the assets for an undisclosed price. Located at 4600-4725 Lakehurst Court and 6060 Emerald Parkway, the 322,679-square-foot center consists of two four-story and two three-story Class A office buildings. Paul Lundstedt, Jeffrey Shell, John Ecclestone, John Gavin and Richard Schuen of Grubb & Ellis|Adena Commercial represented Duke in the transaction.
IRVING, TEXAS — Scott + Reid General Contractors has completed the 172,000-square-foot Caris Life Sciences headquarters, a conversion of a 12-year-old commercial office building. Located at 6655 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, the property features a 27,000-square-foot laboratory. The company will eventually employ more than 700 workers at the property.
