BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. — Coldwell Banker Commercial WESTMAC has brokered FH Distributors’ $3.6 million sale of a 4,000-square-foot office building, located at 193 N. Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles. Built in 1951 and 100 percent occupied by two tenants at the time of sale, the two-story boutique office building was used as the exterior setting for Townsend Investigations in the popular T.V. show “Charlie’s Angels,” which ran from 1976 to 1981. Coldwell Banker’s Bill Althouse, T.C. Macker and Michael Rojas represented the seller, and Kim Capobianco of Re/Max represented the buyer, So Nice LLC.

ROSSLYN, VA. — The Department of Defense has renewed five leases with Monday Properties in Rossyln totaling more than 293,500 square feet. The leases include 110,000 square feet at 1401 Wilson Blvd.; 83,740 square feet at 1400 Key Blvd.; and 47,600 square feet at 1101 Wilson Blvd. The transactions are all 5-year lease renewals. The General Services Administration's T.C. Hairston and Studley's Mett Miller and Todd Valentine represented the tenant. Chales Dilks and Kurt Stout of Grubb & Ellis, along with Monday's Tim Helmig and John Warton, represented the ownership.
WILMINGTON, DEL. — Bellevue Realty Co. has brokered the sale of two office buildings located in Wilmington. In the first transaction, Barbieri Holdings purchased a 4,500-square-foot property located at 109 W. 7th St. from Michael and Lisa Pedicone. Kevin McGonegal of Bellevue Realty represented the sellers and Anthony Medori of White Real Estate represented the buyers. Bellevue also arranged the sale of a 3,500-square-foot building and an adjoining parking lot located that are located at 715-719 N. Tatnall St. Bellevue Realty's Marvin Sachs and William Fincher represented the sellers, Children and Families First Delaware Inc. McGonegal represented the buyer, 715-719 N. Tatnall Street LLC. The acquisition prices in both transactions were not disclosed.
KENNESAW, GA. — A Montreal, Quebec-based party has purchased a 51,398-square-foot office building from a Florida-based investor for $9.65 million. Located at 1015 Cobb Place Blvd. in the Barrett Park Office Park in Kennesaw, the property is fully leased to Aaron Inc. Coro Realties' Ivan Copot represented the buyer. Jim Gibson of Stan Johnson Co.'s Houston office represented the seller.
MADISON, WIS. — T. Wall Properties has completed the development of a three-story office building, which is located within American Center on the eastside of Madison. The estimated $5.2 million, 45,000-square-foot property will be named after Johnson Bank, which will occupy the first floor. Horizon Construction Group is expected to occupy the third floor of the building. The facility features a fitness center with shower rooms, underground parking and a boardroom for tenant use. Additionally, the building features green elements, including high-performance floor-to-ceiling windows, waterless urinals, dual-flush toilets, low-flow faucets and a computerized HVAC control system. Plunkett Raysich Architects designed the property.
ROLLING MEADOWS, ILL. — Grubb & Ellis has brokered the sale of a 48,000-square-foot office property, which is located at 2900 Golf Road in Rolling Meadows. Jani-King purchased the property for an undisclosed price. The buyer plans to occupy 15,000 square feet of the building and market the remaining 33,000 square feet for lease. In addition to the 48,000 square feet of office space, the building offers a 28,000-square-foot basement. The sale also included an adjacent 3.5-acre land parcel. Grubb & Ellis’ Craig Cassell and Jim Ward represented the buyer, while the firm’s Vince D’Amico and Dirk Riekse represented the undisclosed seller.
ARLINGTON, VA. — Ashton Park Associates I has borrowed a $98 million loan for the 352,740-square-foot Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency headquarters, which is currently being constructed in Arlington. The 13-story office building, located at 675 N. Randolph St., will deliver during the first quarter of 2012. Clark Construction Group is serving as general contractor; the property was designed to achieve LEED Gold status by RTKL.
FORT WAYNE, IND. — Universal Education Foundation has purchased 11,000-square-foot property in Fort Wayne for an undisclosed price. Situated on 7 acres at 2223 Goshen Road, the property was sold by Star Financial. Karen Spake and Carolyn Spake-Leeper of CB Richard Ellis/Sturges represented both parties in the transaction.
CAMBRIDGE, MASS. — Microsoft Corp. has completed a 43,500-square-foot renovation project at its New England Research & Development Center, which is located at One Memorial Drive in Cambridge. The project included the removal of some floor slab space to create a two-story assembly space. This space also includes a monumental stair connecting the buildings 10th and 11th floors, a kitchen and an interior garden. Several sustainable measures were used in the project, which is seeking LEED-Commercial Interiors certification, including construction waste diversion and recycling, the use of recycled carpeting, and energy-efficient lighting. The general contractor for the project was Turner Construction Co. and the architect was TRO|Jung Brannen. Jones Lang LaSalle was the project manager.
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — Regeneron Pharmaceuticals has leased 131,000 square feet of laboratory and office space from BioMed Realty Trust. The property is located on The Landmark at Eastview campus in Tarrytown. The space, which was completed 2 months ago, will serve as Regeneron's headquarters. The lease expires June 30, 2023.
