CERRITOS, CALIF. — The Abbey Company has acquired the 465,000-square-foot Cerritos Corporate Center, a commerce park consisting of seven multi-tenant office and industrial buildings located in Cerritos. Currently 97 percent leased to 11 tenants, the property was sold by an institutional owner to The Abbey Company in an all-cash transaction. The Abbey Company’s Kurt Kaufman presided over the company’s acquisition process.

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Comcast of Greater Florida/Georgia has signed a 106,253-square-foot lease with Flagler for space in Deerwood North, located at 4600 Touchton Rd. in Jacksonville. Four buildings totaling 500,000 square feet comprise the business park. Comcast will move into four floors in the property early next year. Ross Carrier served as in-house representation for Flagler. David Fahey of Binswanger represented Comcast.
DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — Dover Corp. has inked a lease for 68,000 square feet of space at 3005 Highland Ave. within Highland Landmark V in Downers Grove. The firm plans to consolidate its four segment headquarters and its New York-based headquarters into the new facility. Move-in is slated for completion by summer 2010. Robert Sevim, Jon Azulay and Joseph Learner of Studley represented the tenant; Gary Fazzio of Grubb & Ellis, along with in-house representative Grady Hamilton, represented the landlord, Opus North Corp., in the transaction.
MIDDLETON, WIS. — Madison, Wis.-based Casimir Jones S.C. has leased 9,599 square feet of office space at 2275 Deming Way in Middleton. The intellectual property law firm will join tenants Aniu Spa and Park Bank in Livesey Co.’s Discovery Springs development. Randy Whitson and Jared Flesch of Lee & Associates brokered the transaction. Additional terms of the lease were not disclosed.
AURORA, COLO. — Northstar Commercial Partners (NCP) has acquired the 6-story, 204,019-square-foot Cherry Creek Place II, located at 3190 S. Vaughn Way in Aurora. Cushman and Wakefield’s Mike Winn, Tim Richey and Chad Flynn represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.
SAN DIEGO — Kaiser Permanente has purchased a six-story, 175,000-square-foot building at Sudberry Properties’ Class A, LEED Silver-certified Terraces at Copley Point office campus in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood of San Diego. Located just off Interstate 805 and Highway 52, the two-building, 380,000-square-foot campus includes an adjacent three-story parking structure that can accommodate 1,073 cars.
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. — International Cruise and Excursion Gallery Inc. has purchased the former Dial headquarters building, located at 15501 N. Dial in Scottsdale, from CL Scottsdale LLC for $14.5 million. Kevin Rude of J.E. Roberts acted as the receiver in the transaction. Grubb & Ellis’ Bob Buckley, Tracy Cartledge, Steve Lindley, Blake Hastings, Jeff Wentworth and Michael Kitlica represented the seller of the 129,689-square-foot, Class A office building.
TAMPA, FLA. — Humana Medical Plan has signed a 170,051-square-foot lease renewal worth $18.5 million with Triple Net Properties. The space is located in the NetPark property at 5701 E. Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa. Humana has occupied the building, where it employs 1,000 workers, since 2005. Jeff Tolrud of Colliers Arnold negotiated the deal.
ALLEN, TEXAS — The first building of a new office condominium park located in Allen has been completed and sold. Watters Creek Professional, which is located along Watters Road, consists of three small condo buildings suitable for professional or medical office uses. The first building, a 3,500-square-foot structure situated at 614 Watters Rd., was acquired by Dr. Jacqueline Le. The site is approved for two additional buildings totaling approximately 3,000 square feet or more each. Matt Anding of Henry S. Miller Brokerage represented the seller, KRG-Barklay, along with the buyer. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
HOUSTON — Southwestern Energy Co. has signed a lease for approximately 101,000 square feet at One Commerce Green, an office building located at 515 W. Greens Rd. in Houston. Lispah Hogan of Newmark Knight Frank represented the tenant in lease negotiations. Moody Rambin Interests represented the landlord, Parkway Properties LP. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
