NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS — Brasfield & Gorrie has completed the $120 million Resolute Health hospital in New Braunfels. The hospital spans 364,000 square feet in four stories, including 22 emergency exam rooms, trauma rooms, operating rooms, intensive care units and neonatal care rooms. Construction started in June 2012. The hospital sits on a 56-acre well campus that also will include community centers, green spaces, retail shops, restaurants, a fitness center and day spa.

DEERFIELD BEACH, FLA. — Skanska USA has signed a $47 million contract to renovate and expand the Broward Health North Campus in Deerfield Beach. The project will include a 34,444-square-foot emergency department with trauma bays, operating rooms, more than 50 new examination rooms and a new 22,604-square-foot energy plant. Skanska will begin construction on the project in August, and the entire project is slated for a summer 2016 completion.
HOUSTON — CNL Healthcare Properties has purchased the Houston Orthopedic & Spine Hospital campus for $76 million. The Class A health campus includes a 126,946-square-foot specialty hospital; a 99,768-square-foot medical office building; and two parking structures. This purchase is CNL’s largest single-property investment in its portfolio. The hospital campus was completed in 2007 and is located at the intersection of Interstates 69 and 610. The hospital includes 64 private beds, 10 operating suites and various imaging services. Lincoln Harris CSG will provide on-site leasing and management services.
PLANO, TEXAS — Silverstone Healthcare Co. has begun construction on HarborChase of Plano, a new 120-unit, Class A, assisted living and memory care community located on Preston Road at Highway 121. Harbor Retirement Associates will operate HarborChase of Plano. Silverstone’s financial partners in HarborChase of Plano include L&B Realty Advisors and the Dow Chemical Pension Fund. HarborChase of Plano will feature a living room, library, salon, spa and wellness center. HarborChase will also offer dining venues that include a dining room, private dining, outdoor dining, an exhibition kitchen and a bistro/coffee bar. Texas Capital Bank will provide HarborChase of Plano’s construction financing. Rogers O’Brien will serve as the contractor, while BOKA Powell and Interior Design Associates will serve as architect and interior designer, respectively.
DALLAS — Mohr Capital has acquired the Coit Medical Center in Dallas, located at 12230 Coit Road. The 32,611-square-foot medical office building was constructed in 2009 and is 34 percent leased. Scott Henry, Gary Horn and Austin Ames represented Mohr Capital internally, while Evan Kovac with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the seller, Passco Seneca Coit LLC. Frost Bank provided project financing.
NEW LENOX, ILL. — HSA PrimeCare will develop a business center at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, an eastern suburb of Joliet. The on-campus business center will be located at the intersection of Silver Cross Drive and Cedar Crossings Drive. The two-level, 30,000-square-foot facility will offer hospital staff and employees a comfortable working environment within a short walk to each of the other facilities on the medical campus. HSA PrimeCare plans to break ground in July 2014. Itasca, Ill.-based Premier Design + Build will serve as the project’s general contractor, and Partners in Design Architects with offices in Riverwoods, Ill., and Kenosha, Wis., is responsible for the design services. Projected occupancy for the building is January 2015.
OKLAHOMA CITY —The LaSalle Group has broken ground on a 30,000-square-foot, $9.5 million memory care facility in southwest Oklahoma City. Autumn Leaves of Southwest Oklahoma City will accommodate nearly 50 residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. LaSalle recently opened Autumn Leaves of Edmond and currently has 36 communities open or under construction across the country. Autumn Leaves of Southwest Oklahoma City is a partnership between The LaSalle Group, Silverado Interests and Prosperity Bank. The community is expected to open during the first quarter of 2015.
NEWTON, MASS. — Beth Israel Deaconess (BID) Healthcare-Chestnut Hill, a new major outpatient medical center, is slated to open in July, following the opening of BID’s Advanced Urgent Care Center. Both services occupy the fourth floor of 200 Boylston St. in Newton’s 240,000-square-foot Chestnut Hill Square development, which is owned by New England Development,. The 30,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will offer primary care and 20 medical and surgical specialties with physicians and staff from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Specialties offered at the BID Healthcare-Chestnut Hill will include OB/GYN and women’s health, sports medicine with orthopedics, physical and occupational therapy, imaging with CT scanning, on-site labs, a spine center, acupuncture, and yoga. In addition, the center will offer surgical specialties including oncology, a breast clinic, colorectal and podiatry.
AUSTIN, TEXAS — Adolfson & Peterson Construction has topped out the $90 million Forest Park Medical Center in Austin. Adolfson & Peterson is serving as the general contractor for the hospital, which is being developed by Neal Richards Group. The project is being built on an 8.5-acre site inside of a 59-acre master campus located near state highway 45 and La Frontera Boulevard in Williamson County. The 145,000-square-foot, four-story hospital will feature 46 private inpatient rooms, including 12 family suites, six intensive care rooms and 10 fully integrated operating suites. Also part of the development is an 80,000-square-foot medical office building and an 181,000-square-foot garage.
JUPITER, FLA. — Rendina Healthcare Real Estate has begun construction on a two-story, freestanding healthcare facility for Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter. The medical office building will be located approximately two miles south of Jupiter Medical Center. The 26,000-square-foot Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center will be a LEED Silver-certified facility offering 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, Positron Emission Mammography (PEM), stereotactic breast biopsy, bone density, and breast and general MRI services. The second floor of the facility will also house the high-risk and genetics program and be available for physician office and educational space. The project team includes general contractor Anderson-Moore Construction, architect Davis Stokes Collaborative, landscape architect Cotleur & Hearing and engineer Jeff H. Iravani Inc. The facility is slated to open in the first quarter of 2015.
