MILTON, PA. — The Jenkins Organization, a Houston-based owner-operator of self-storage facilities and RV resorts, will open Jellystone Park at Milton, a 60-acre development located north of Harrisburg in the central part of the state. The property offers 20 cabins and lodges and 160 RV sites, as well as amenities such as a volleyball court, fishing ponds and an arts and crafts center. A formal opening ceremony will be conducted Saturday, May 22.

BEEVILLE, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Yonder Inn Beeville, a 79-room hotel located about 65 miles north of Corpus Christi in South Texas. Matt Omansky, Allan Miller and Chris Gomes of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a private investor, in the transaction. Miller and Gomes, along with Andrew Frosch and Joseph Manuel of Marcus & Millichap, also procured a locally based investment group as the buyer. Both parties requested anonymity.

Sienna-at-The-Thompson

AUSTIN, TEXAS — A partnership between Chicago-based Magellan Development Group, BLG Capital Advisors, Geolo Capital and Wanxiang America Real Estate Group has begun leasing Sienna at The Thompson, a 331-unit apartment complex in Austin. The residences will be located on floors 15 through 31 of the 212-room Thompson Hotel building that is under construction in downtown Austin. Units will feature studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans and will be furnished with quartz countertops and backsplashes, stainless steel appliances and kitchen islands. Residents will have access to indoor and outdoor amenities that will be shared with hotel guests, including a pool, fitness center, business lounge, rooftop deck, 24-hour concierge services and a dog run. The building will also house multiple food and beverage concepts and a four-story underground parking garage. The average rent is $2,636 per month, and move-ins are expected to begin in late summer.

LONG BEACH, N.Y. — JLL has negotiated the sale of the 156-room Allegria Hotel, a luxury beachfront property in Long Beach. Originally built as a seniors housing facility, the property was converted to a hotel in 2009 and now offers a rooftop pool, fitness center and multiple food and beverage options. Jeffrey Davis, K.C. Patel, Nikhil Chuchra and Desmund Delaney of JLL represented the seller, Stabilis Capital Management LP, in the transaction. Greg Labine and Martha Nay of JLL arranged fixed-rate acquisition financing on behalf of the buyer, Linchris Capital Partners LLC.

NEW YORK CITY — JLL has negotiated the sale of Shoreham, a 179-room boutique hotel located near Central Park in Midtown Manhattan. The 89,681-square-foot property offers a fitness center, business center, restaurant and more than 2,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Jeffrey Davis, K.C. Patel, Michele Mahl, Nikhil Chuchra and Desmund Delaney of JLL represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction. A private investor purchased the asset for an undisclosed price.

NOUN-Hotel-Norman-Oklahoma

NORMAN, OKLA. — Lambert, a hospitality development and management firm, has broken ground on the NOUN Hotel, a boutique property that will be situated near the University of Oklahoma’s campus in the downtown area. The hotel will 92 guestrooms, including two 900-square-foot suites, as well as a banquet room and several bars with indoor and outdoor seating. Completion is slated for summer 2022.

DALLAS — Private developers and twin brothers Blake and Brandon Shirk are nearing completion of the SOVA Hotel in downtown Dallas. The boutique hotel will incorporate elements from all over the world, with guests staying in 39 micro rooms that feature elements representing 50 different countries and cultures. Construction began in late October 2020.

HOUSTON — The Siegel Group Nevada Inc. has acquired a former Amerihome Inn & Suites hotel in Houston. The three-story building was originally constructed in 1983 and spans 110,700 square feet. The company plans to renovate and rebrand the property under its Siegel Suites flagship hospitality brand, which features fully furnished apartment-style units with full kitchens. Capital improvements will include upgrades to floors, cabinets, furniture, appliances, windows and signage.

EVANS, COLO. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of a Rodeway Inn hotel location at 3015 Eighth Ave. in Evans. Neville Rustomjee of Marcus & Millichap’s Denver office represented the seller, a limited liability company, and secured and assisted the buyer, also a limited liability company. Rodeway Inn features 96 guest rooms in an exterior corridor configuration. The buyer will implement a franchise property improvement plan and additional improvements to the property.

NEW ORLEANS — Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a San Francisco-based boutique hotel company, will soon open Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, a 202-room boutique hotel located in New Orleans’ Central Business District on the corner of Poydras and Tchoupitoulas streets. The hotel will open on May 11 of this year, and guests are now able to book stays. Designed by MARKZEFF, Kimpton Hotel Fontenot will feature two dining and cocktail concepts within the property, led by executive chef Chris Lusk and restaurant general manager Jessica Retif. Gospel Coffee and Boozy Treats is a neighborhood café serving a range of coffee, teas, espresso and adult beverages, as well as a collection of eat-on-the-go options. The other dining and cocktail option is the Peacock Room, which offers cocktails and food. The hotel’s amenities include morning coffee and tea service from Gospel Coffee and Boozy Treats; bike rentals; a 24-hour fitness center equipped with Peloton bikes; pet-friendly rooms; complimentary Wi-Fi for IHG Rewards members; and an evening social hour. Additional in-room amenities include yoga mats, in-room dining, Frette linens and bathrobes and Atelier Bloem bath and body products.
