NEW YORK CITY — CBCS Equities and Barone Management have developed EVEN Hotel Brooklyn, a 13-story hotel located at 46 Nevins St. in downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architect, the 83,000-square-foot hotel features 202 rooms, a 1,300-square-foot fitness center, in-room fitness zones with cork flooring and personal exercise equipment, and Cork & Kale Market and Bar. The project team included HVS Design, Andrew Myers Interior Design and Ambius. EVEN Hotel Brooklyn is an IHG hotel.

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. — Hyatt Hotels Corp. has purchased the 119-room Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Scottsdale for $88.2 million. The hotel is located at 5200 E. Camelback Road. The hotel will continue to operate as the Royal Palms, though it will become affiliated with the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. It first opened in 1929 as the home of wealthy New York financier Delos Willard Cooke. Hodges Ward Elliott represented the seller, Lowe Enterprises Investors, in this transaction.

LOS ANGELES — US OCG Inc., a subsidiary of China-based Esong Group, has purchased the 405-room Holiday Inn near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for $52 million. The hotel is located at 9901 S. La Cienega Blvd. The Holiday Inn was built in 1973 and renovated in 2008. It has maintained an occupancy rate of more than 90 percent in 2016, according to Infinity Realty Advisors, which represented the buyer. LAX is currently undergoing an $8 billion modernization. This is the subsidiary’s first U.S.-based hotel acquisition. The seller was the CIM Group. Eddy Chao, Karin Chao and Richard Alter represented the buyer.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thor Equities has purchased a 10-story, 125,000-square-foot building at 3000 M St. in Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown district for $53.5 million. The property is surrounded by restaurants and bars in close proximity to Georgetown University and the main commercial intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street. Thor plans to convert the former Lantham Hotel into a boutique hotel with up to 100 rooms, an upscale restaurant, food and beverage options and 27,000 square feet of retail space on the ground, lower and second levels of the property.

HOLLAND, MICH. — NAI Wisinski of West Michigan has brokered the sale of a 2.5-acre plot of land in Holland, approximately 30 miles southwest of Grand Rapids, which will be home to a new hotel. The Home 2 Suites by Hilton will be located on West Shore Drive. The extended-stay hotel will be pet friendly and feature full kitchens. Doug Taatjes of NAI Wisinski of West Michigan represented the seller, West Shore Investors LLC. Berkshire Hathaway’s Cheri Renfeld represented the buyer, IMDC Acquisitions LLC.

Hyatt-Place-Dallas-Las-Colinas

IRVING, TEXAS — Tandy Lofland of Intergroup Realty and Mark Rome of MJ Rome represented the seller in the recent sale of the Hyatt Place Dallas/Las Colinas in Irving. The 122-room hotel is located in the 12,000-acre Las Colinas mixed-use development, one of the largest master-planned communities in the country. An affiliate of Summit Hotel Properties sold the hotel to a private investment group from the Dallas area. The hotel will undergo upgrades and improvements and will continue to operate as a Hyatt Place franchise.

INDIANAPOLIS — The original developer of the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown has reacquired a property it opened more than 15 years ago. Affiliates of Merrillville, Ind.-based White Lodging Services Corp. and REI Investments bought the 622-room hotel from LaSalle Hotel Properties (NYSE: LHO) for $165 million and plan to begin renovations in the first quarter of 2017. White Lodging has managed the hotel since its inception. The renovation will include 10 additional guestrooms as well as two new restaurants and a new lobby bar. White Lodging, REI Investments and Kite Cos. originally owned and opened the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in February 2001. The hotel offers more than 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space with two restaurants and a Starbucks.

AVE-Florham-Park-NJ

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — The Rockefeller Group has secured $70 million in financing on behalf of its joint venture partnership with Korman Communities for the construction of AVE Florham Park. Located within The Green at Florham Park in Florham Park, the flexible-stay community will feature 256 furnished and unfurnished accommodations that are ideal for corporate housing, relocations and long-term stays. The partnership broke ground on the 450,000-square-foot project earlier this year with completion slated for 2017. The property will feature 40,000 square feet of outdoor amenities, including a private courtyard with sitting areas and chess stations, and a community courtyard with a lap pool and sundeck, a ping pong table, bocce ball court, a kitchen with barbecue area, a movie screen, fire pits and an enclave with cabanas. Additionally, the property will feature 24,000 square feet of indoor amenities, including a movie theater, café, conference suites, a business center, a yoga studio and fitness center, a spa and 24-hour resident services.

ATLANTA — Through HFF’s debt placement division, U.S. Bank has provided a $58.5 million construction loan for the development of the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta. The 16-story, 264-room hotel will anchor the $1 billion mixed-use village surrounding SunTrust Park, the Atlanta Braves’ new ballpark set to open in April 2017 in Cobb County. The hotel will feature 12,000 square feet of meeting space, a restaurant with rooftop seating, outdoor pool with a deck and bar, fitness center, wine and coffee bar, retail outlets on the third floor and concierge services. Whitaker Johnson and Jim Curtin led the HFF team in arranging the 42-month loan through U.S. Bank on behalf of the borrowers, TRT Holdings Inc. and Braves Development Co. LLC. The loan features two one-year extension options. Dallas-based TRT Holdings is the parent company of Omni Hotels & Resorts, and Braves Development Co. is owned by Liberty Media Corp.

CORSICANA, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Motel 6 Corsicana, a 110-room hotel located in Corsicana. Skyler Cooper, Chris Gomes and Allan Miller of Marcus & Millichap marketed the property on behalf of the seller, an individual/personal trust. Cooper, Gomes and Miller also procured the buyer, a local private investor. Motel 6 Corsicana is located at 2018 S. Highway 287 off of I-45. The two-story hotel was built in 1986 as a Days Inn and converted to a Motel 6 in 2006. Amenities at the property include an updated lobby and an indoor swimming pool.
