HILLSBORO, ORE. — PKF Capital Seattle has arranged the sale of the 106-room Springhill Suites by Marriott in Hillsboro. Terms of the deal regarding the suburban Portland property, which was built in 2004, were not disclosed. PKF Capital’s Chris Burdett and Matthew Behrens represented the seller, an Oregon-based hotel developer, in the transaction; the buyer was a joint venture between Watermark Capital Partners LLC and Montclair Hotel Investors.

D'IBERVILLE, MISS. — Encore Hospitality has opened a 125-room Courtyard by Marriott in the 150-acre Lakeview Village in D'Iberville. The hotel includes a restaurant, a lounge, an indoor pool and spa, an exercise room and a business center. Pineapple Management Services oversees day-to-day operations of the property.
NEW YORK CITY — Cushman & Wakefield Sonnenblick Goldman (CWSG) has arranged the $212 million refinancing of a hotel portfolio controlled by Irving-based FelCor Lodging Trust. The portfolio contains nine hotels totaling approximately 2,500 rooms. Five of the hotels fly the Embassy Suites flag and the other four are Sheraton hotels. CWSG's Mark Gordon, Jared Kelso, Alison Tan and Ernest Lee secured the loan, which carries a floating interest rate. The lender's name was not released.
CHATTANOOGA, TENN. — General Electric Capital Corp. has sold a 57-room Chattanooga Comfort Inn to Dayton, Tenn.-based Hitten Hospitality for an undisclosed price. The two-story hotel is located near the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. David Mumford, Steve Kirby and Burton Brooks of Mumford Co. brokered the sale.
SAN ANTONIO — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of a 69-room Quality Inn Hotel for an undisclosed amount. The property is located in downtown San Antonio. Allan Miller of the firm's Austin, Texas, office represented the seller and the buyer, which were both limited liability companies.
MURFREESBORO, TENN. — An affiliate of CW Capital has sold the 179-room Clarion Inn & Suites of Murfreesboro to Gateway Hospitality Services of Tennessee for an undisclosed amount. INDEPENDENCE, OHIO — InterContinental Hotels Group has opened Crowne Plaza Cleveland South – Independence after a $4 million renovation project. Located at 5300 Rockside Road, the property features 179 guestrooms, more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, an indoor pool, a business center, a restaurant and a lounge. The renovations included a new fitness center, a new boardroom and upgrades throughout the hotel. The hotel is owned by Rockside Hospitality and managed by American Resort Management, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
NEWPORT NEWS, VA. — Josef's Hospitality has purchased a five-story hotel, which was formerly branded Comfort Inn North of Orlando, from a receiver for an undisclosed amount. The shuttered hotel is located off the Lee Road Exit on Interstate 4. David Mumford and Burton Brooks of the Mumford Co. represented the seller.
PHILADELPHIA — HEI Hotels & Resorts has acquired Le Méridien, a 202-room hotel located in the Center City district of Philadelphia. The 10-story hotel, located at 1421 Arch St., was developed by Memphis, Tenn.-based Development Services Group as an adaptive reuse of the former YMCA building. The hotel features 5,330 square feet of meeting space, a bar, a gourmet restaurant and a fitness center. HEI plans to operate the hotel as well once it opens in May.
ATLANTA — University Heights Atlanta Acquisitions has sold the 157-unit Suites Hotel to Frontline Management of Philadelphia in an all-cash transaction. Located at Underground Atlanta in the city's downtown area, the property will undergo significant renovations. The buyer will also rebrand the hotel as Comfort Suites Hotel Downtown/Atlanta Convention Center. Anthony A. Falor of Hodges Ward Elliot represented the seller.
