SALEM, VA. — Dil Enterprise has sold the 71-unit Days Inn Salem to Devikson for an undisclosed amount. The hotel is located at 1535 E. Main St. in Salem. The buyer plans to keep the Days Inn brand and operate the hotel after undertaking property renovations, and Dil will use the sale’s proceeds to invest in other Virginia hotels. David Mumford of Newport News, Va.-based The Mumford Co. brokered the sale.

GALVESTON, TEXAS — The Harbor House, a 42-room hotel in Galveston, has reopened for business after being damaged during Hurricane Ike. Located on Pier 21, the hotel has not completely recovered from the storm and elevator service will not be available until mid-April. Additionally, the nine adjacent boat slips are still undergoing repairs. The Olympia Restaurant, which is located on the harbor side of the hotel, is slated to open in June. Harbor House is the second of three historic Galveston hotels owned by Cynthia and George Mitchell to reopen.

HANCOCK, MASS. — Orlando, Fla.-based CNL Lifestyle Properties has acquired Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, a ski and snowboard resort located in Hancock, for $27 million. Established in 1948, Jiminy Peak attracts more than 350,000 visitors annually and is known as the largest ski resort in southern New England. CNL acquired the property from Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, Inc., which will continue to operate the resort under a 40-year lease. CNL currently owns 14 ski resorts and eight ski village-centered retail properties nationwide.

SAN DIEGO — InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is developing a Hotel Indigo in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter. The flagship hotel, only the second California location, will feature 210 rooms, including five suites, a rooftop terrace with a reflection pool, fire pits, soft seating, a Phitness Studio with cardio equipment and free weights, Phi, a casual gourmet restaurant, and views of the San Diego skyline and Petco Park. Slated to open this summer, the property will be managed by The Hotel Management Group, IHG’s Americas operations division.

PHOENIX — Phoenix-based Summit Builders has completed the design/build conversion of an office building into Hilton Garden Inn, which is located on Van Buren St. in Phoenix. The 10-story, 121,000-square-foot hotel features 192 rooms, a swimming pool, a kitchen, a restaurant and lounge, a laundry facility, a fitness center and a business center. Additionally, all mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems were replaced. Windsor Hotels LLC owns the property. Phoenix-based Orcutt Winslow provided design services for the project.

LENEXA, KAN. — A Suburban Extended Stay Hotel is currently underway at 15151 W. 101st Terrace in Lenexa. The 118-room hotel, which is slated for completion in March, is being developed and is owned by Lenexa Lodging LLC and Neuterra Real Estate Development LLC. North Carolina-based The Generation Companies has been selected to manage the economy-priced facility. The Suburban Extended Stay Hotel brand is a part of Choice Hotels International.

CANONSBURG, PA. — A joint venture between Horizon Properties Group and Madison Realty Group has procured $12.8 million in acquisition and development financing from Indiana, Pa.-based S&T Bank. Part of the loan will be used for the construction of a new Cambria Suites hotel to be built on Racetrack Road in North Strabane Township, Canonsburg. The site is situated at the entrance to a Tanger Outlets retail center and across from the Meadows Racetrack & Casino. The other part of the loan will be used for the acquisition of an existing 27,500-square-foot office building located adjacent to the proposed hotel site. Terms of the financing, as well as the construction timetable, were not released.

WOBURN, MASS. — Hilltop 15 Middlesex LLC has acquired a 196-room Holiday Inn Select located in Woburn for $8.5 million. Amenities at the hotel include a 282-seat restaurant, a fitness center, an indoor pool, 9,000 square feet of meeting space and banquet facilities. The buyer plans to invest more than $1 million in capital improvements during the first quarter of the year. The hotel is currently operated by Park Lodge Hotel Group. Hilltop 15 Middlesex LLC is managed by David Masse, who is also the founder of Compass Realty Associates. The buyer in the transaction was not disclosed.

HOUSTON — Hilton Hotels Corp. has held the grand opening for the new Homewood Suites by Hilton – Northwest/CY-Fair, a 123-suite hotel located at 13110 Wortham Center Dr. in Houston. The hotel comprises studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. It features an executive business center, a swimming pool, a sports court and 1,050 square feet of meeting space. The property is owned by Wortham Hospitality, Ltd. and will be managed by New Horizons Hospitality. This newest hotel marks the 260th location for Homewood Suites by Hilton.
