LAS VEGAS — An undisclosed seller who had recently foreclosed on the 150-room St. Tropez hotel has sold the property to The Siegel Group Nevada for $10.5 million. Located in Las Vegas’ Harmon Corridor, the two-story hotel is situated across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The Siegel Group plans to fix deferred maintenance issues and then embark on a renovation and modernization of the facility, which could include adding a restaurant, bar, nightclub or outdoor yoga studio to the hotel.

DALLAS — The grand opening has been held for the new Aloft Downtown Dallas, a 193-room hotel located at 1033 Young St. in Dallas. The project consisted of the adaptive re-use of an eight-story, former railroad freight depot that was constructed in 1924 and used by the Santa Fe Railroad. The hotel project was designed by One Group Design and is seeking LEED certification. It is owned by a joint venture between locally based companies Hamilton Properties Corp. and Sava Holdings under a licensing agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
DURHAM, N.C. — The 125-room Hotel Indigio Durham-Research Triangle Park has opened in Durham. Features of the hotel include 1,600 square feet of meeting space, a business center and the Phi Bar and Bistro. Hotel Indigo also is planning continued expansion in North Carolina and will open a 100-room property in Asheville and hotels in Charlotte, Wilmington and Winston-Salem.
ANAMOSA, IOWA — Mumford Co. has negotiated the sale of a 35-room Super 8 Motel located in Anamosa. The buyer, Shree HR Corp, plans to complete minor renovations and retain the Super 8 brand. Acquisition financing was obtained through a SBA 504 loan facilitated by a local bank. Mumford’s Lance Potter and David Mumford completed the deal. The seller was not disclosed.
LAKE TAHOE, CALIF. — Taylor Flynn of Marcus & Millichap represented the undisclosed seller in the disposition of Alpine Inn & Spa, a 39-room hotel located at 920 Stateline Ave. in Lake Tahoe. An undisclosed buyer acquired the property for $1.42 million.
YORK, PA., AND BANGOR, MAINE — White Plains, N.Y.-based Starwood Hotels & Resorts has completed renovations to two Four Points by Sheraton hotels. The first is the Four Points by Sheraton – York, a 146-room hotel located in York. The $15 million renovation included opening up the lobby to create a Family Room and upgrades to the hotel restaurant. The second hotel is the Four Points by Sheraton – Bangor Airport, a 111-room hotel located adjacent to Bangor International Airport in Bangor. The $9 million renovation included a redesign of the hotel restaurant, Godfrey’s Grill & Lounge; the installation of a double-sided fireplace; a new indoor pool and fitness center; and the expansion and renovation of the hotel’s 2,982 square feet of meeting space.
WHIPPANY, N.J. — HEI Hotels & Resorts has acquired the Hanover Marriott in Whippany from Host Hotels & Resorts for $27 million. The 353-room hotel features 22 meeting rooms, the largest Grand Ballroom in Morris County, Allie’s restaurant, a business center, an indoor/outdoor pool, a fitness center, and the Auld Shebeen Pub. The hotel is located at 1401 Route 10 East in Morris County. The new owner plans to implement a $20 million renovation program.
ORLANDO, FLA. — Supertel Hospitality has sold the 120-room Masters Inn-International Drive in Orlando to Sun Vista Hotels for an undisclosed price. The buyer will renovate the Orlando hotel before converting it to a Best Western. David Mumford, Steve Kirby, Burton Brooks and David Holcombe of the Mumford Co. represented the seller.
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Jacksonville JTB Hotel has received $5.8 million in financing for a 137-room Marriott Courtyard in Jacksonville. The 4-year loan comes with a 25-year amortization schedule. FirstAtlantic Bank provided the mortgage, and Joel Coykendall of NorthMarq Capital’s Jacksonville office arranged the loan.
HERNDON, VA. — Bethesda, Md.-based Host Hotels & Resorts has sold the 253-unit Washington Dulles Marriott Suites to an undisclosed buyer for an undisclosed price. Located at 13101 Worldgate Dr. in Herndon, the property features a conference center and event space. Molinaro Koger represented Host Hotels in the transaction.
