LOUISVILLE, KY. — GE Appliances will invest $130 million in three industrial facilities in north Georgia, ultimately adding 300 new jobs for the Louisville-based manufacturer in the Peach State. GE Appliances will invest $43 million in the company’s affiliate Roper Corp. facility in Walker County in order to expand manufacturing capabilities and introduce new cooking products. The investment will create an additional 100 jobs, bringing the total employee count at the plant to 2,000. The company will also build the $32 million Southern Logistics Center in Murray County. The new warehouse will house 100 employees and will connect the Port of Savannah and the Appalachian Regional Port via rail in northwest Georgia. Lastly, GE Appliances is building a $55 million smart warehouse in Jackson County, also housing 100 employees. The GE Appliances Southeast Region Appliance Distribution Center will use distribution technology to blend digital intelligence with high-tech innovation. In December, the Georgia Ports Authority announced plans to build a 104-acre inland port in Gainesville, about 25 miles from GE’s proposed plant in Jackson County. A timeline for construction was not disclosed.

HOLLAND, MICH. AND BRYAN, OHIO — Industrial Commercial Properties LLC (ICP) has acquired two industrial properties totaling 470,000 square feet in Holland, Mich. and Bryan, Ohio. ICP purchased the buildings from Adient, an automotive seat manufacturer. Both properties are fully leased to Yanfeng Automotive Interiors, a global supplier of interior equipment for the automotive industry headquartered in Shanghai, China. The Holland facility is 148,000 square feet while the Bryan facility is 320,500 square feet.

LANSING, MICH. — Marcus & Millichap has negotiated the sale of a CubeSmart Self Storage facility in Lansing. The sales price was not disclosed. The 67,500-square-foot property is located at 4724 S. Creyts Road. The facility includes 89 climate-controlled units and 444 standard drive-up units for a total of 533 units. Brett Hatcher and Gabriel Coe of Marcus & Millichap marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company. The team also procured the buyer, a limited liability company.

MOORPARK, CALIF. — Orange County, Calif.-based MCA Realty has completed the sale of an industrial building, located at 14401 Princeton Ave. in Moorpark. Big Brand Tires acquired the asset for $10.2 million. The buyer plans to fully occupy the 69,914-square-foot property. MCA purchased the property in November 2017, as part of a 137,465-square-foot, two-building industrial acquisition for $7.5 million. Renovations included the removal of approximately 20,000 square feet of mezzanine space to create more functional space. Additionally, the seller added an expansion truck court and large loading dock with a canopy. Bennett Robinson of CBRE, along with Robert Griffin and Rick Sheckter of Newmark Knight Frank, represented the seller, while John Ochoa of Lee & Associates represented the buyer in the transaction.

SEATAC, WASH. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of International Boulevard Self Storage, a self-storage facility located in SeaTac. A local investment group acquired the asset for $6.5 million. Located at 19825 International Blvd., the 45,273-square-foot property features 453 self-storage units. The facility was built in 1974. Christopher Secreto of Marcus & Millichap’s Seattle office represented the out-of-state seller and secured the buyer in the deal.

NEW YORK CITY — Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp. has signed a 26,486-square-foot industrial lease at 535 Zerega Ave. in The Bronx. The lease brings the 70,000-square-foot building to full occupancy. Neil Seth of Cushman & Wakefield represented Krispy Kreme, which will use the space as its new corporate commissary to accommodate expansion plans, in the lease negotiations. Josh Gopan represented the landlord, Simone Development Cos., on an internal basis.

LOUISVILLE, KY. — Dermody Properties has acquired 17.1 acres within Renaissance South Business Park from the Louisville Renaissance Zone Corp. (LRZC) and has broken ground on a 352,800-square-foot warehouse and distribution building called LogistiCenter Louisville Airport. The building will be situated at 2825 Transglobal Drive, two miles from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. The building will feature 32-foot clear heights, 60-foot-by-56-foot speed bay, 7-inch concrete floor slabs, 46 dock-high doors, four grade-level doors, 73 truck trailer spots and 256 auto parking stalls. Kevin Grove and Doug Butcher of CBRE will handle leasing for the new building. The architect for the project is ATA-Beilharz Architects, and the general contractor is Gordian Design & Construction, both based in Cincinnati. The civil engineer is Louisville-based Sabak Wilson & Lingo. Construction is underway and delivery is expected for early 2020.

TROUTMAN, N.C. — Developer Kathy Godley has begun construction on Troutman Industrial Park, a 1 million-square-foot speculative industrial park in Troutman. Kathy Godley expects the building to be complete by the end of the year. The new facility near Lake Norman will feature 36-foot clear heights, 238 dock-high doors and parking for approximately 550 trailers and 667 cars. Troutman Industrial Park is situated less than one mile from Interstate 77, less than 10 miles from Interstate 40 and 35 miles north of downtown Charlotte. Matthew Greer and Brad Cherry of JLL are handling leasing efforts on behalf of the developer. The team will pursue tenants ranging in size from 250,000 square feet to 1 million square feet.

GLENDALE, ARIZ. — Kasten Long Commercial Group has arranged the sale of a warehouse asset, located at the northwest corner of 51st Avenue and Camelback Road in Glendale. CBRE Global Investors acquired the property for $17.5 million from an undisclosed seller. Built in 1987, the property features 105,906 square feet of cold-storage space. Sprouts Farmers Market is a tenant at the property. Walter Unger of Kasten Long Commercial brokered the deal.
