DALLAS — Steve Jarvie has joined E Smith Realty Partners as president. Jarvie will lead the growth initiative for Dallas tenant representation services and will serve on the company’s executive committee, assisting with strategic direction for the company. Prior to joining E Smith Realty, Jarvie served as executive vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and The Staubach Co., focusing on the development of new business and management of client transactions. Jarvie has accounted for more than 10 million square feet of leases during his career. Jarvie earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in Waco.
SEATTLE — Cabot Properties has purchased Federal Way Corporate Center, a 73,498-square-foot industrial park in the Seattle submarket of Federal Way, for $7.6 million. The park is located at 34210 9th Ave. South. It was built in 2001. The facility is leased to three tenants. Brian Bruininks and Jeff Crane of the Andover Company/CORFAC International represented both the buyer and seller, Fedway Group LLLC, in this transaction.
SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Bestronics has leased 73,000 square feet of industrial space in San Jose. The space is located at 2243 Lundy Ave. Bestronics is an electronics contract manufacturer. Dan Hollingsworth, Steve Pace, Tom McGovern and Karen Sigl of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, LD Odyssey.
NILES, ILL. — The Missner Group has acquired a 78,000-square-foot industrial warehouse with office space for $2.4 million in Niles, approximately 15 miles northwest of Chicago. After acquiring the building, The Missner Group signed Avery Dennison, a leader in labeling and packaging materials and solutions, to a lease of the entire building. The Missner Group purchased the two-story building located at 6565 W. Howard St. from The Feld Family LP. The property consists of 56,000 square feet of warehouse and manufacturing space and 22,000 square feet of office space. The asset is situated on 3.6 acres and features 20-foot clear heights, five exterior docks and one drive-in door. Ed Adler of The Missner Group led the acquisition for the firm. Jack Rosenberg, Fredrick Regnery and Ned Frank of Colliers International represented The Missner Group in the purchase of the property, as well as the lease to Avery Dennison, which was represented by Brendan Green of Colliers. The Colliers team also represented the building’s seller, who was undisclosed.
NEW BERLIN, WIS. — The Dickman Company Inc./CORFAC International has brokered the sale of an 18,144-square-foot industrial building in New Berlin, approximately 15 miles west of Milwaukee. Abraham Holding LLC purchased the building, located at 2805 S. 160th St., from ZAP LLC. David Buckley of The Barry Co. represented the seller in the transaction, and Anthony Huenerbein of Dickman represented the buyer.
MEMPHIS, TENN. — Sealy & Co. has purchased a 600,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution facility situated on more than 25 acres at 4221 Pilot Drive in Memphis. This acquisition is the third investment in the Memphis market on behalf of the company’s investment offering, Sealy Strategic Equity Partners. The property features modern warehouse attributes, rail service and additional trailer parking. Located in Memphis’ Southeast submarket, the property is in close proximity to Memphis International Airport and the BNSF Rail intermodal.
HOUSTON — Colliers International, on behalf of the landlord, Southwest Texas (Clinton) Industrial Park, has leased three distribution spaces in Clinton Industrial Park to three separate tenants. Stone Paving USA leased 12,735 square feet at 7241 Clinton Drive, with Mike Quint of Jackson Cooksey representing the tenant. Mantua Manufacturing Co. leased 36,560 square feet at 7201 Clinton Drive, and CD Polytech leased 10,820 square feet at 7139 Clinton Drive. Steven O’Connor of Southwest Realty Advisors represented CD Polytech and Mantua Manufacturing. Walter Menuet of Colliers International represented the landlord in all three transactions. The park is now 100 percent leased.
WORCESTER, MASS. — Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates has arranged the sale of an industrial building located at 70 Quinsigamond Ave. in Worcester. Lutco Inc. acquired the 65,000-square-foot property from A.M. Castle Metals Co. for an undisclosed price. The buyer plans to make several improvements, including significant electrical upgrades, to the property in January 2016.William Kelleher IV and Matthew Mayrand of Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates brokered the transaction.
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILL. — Entre Commercial Realty LLC has arranged an 11,200-square-foot industrial lease in Elk Grove Village, approximately 23 miles northwest of Chicago. The lease is for Peet’s Coffee & Tea, which will use the site at 1950 Devon Ave. as distribution space. The building totals 98,445 square feet and can accommodate multiple tenants. The facility is situated on 5.6 acres. The lease space features 18-foot clear heights, two shared docks and a private drive-in door.
