EL PASO — Hackman Capital Partners LLC has purchased two facilities formerly owned by a Hoover Inc. affiliate. The acquisition includes a plastic injection molding and CNC (computer numerically controlled) tool making facility in El Paso and a manufacturing building in Juarez, Mexico. The firm partnered with Industrial Assets Inc. and Maynards Industries to purchase the assets in a bulk transaction. The El Paso building contains 423,435 square feet while the Juarez building spans 274,295 square feet.

ISLIP, N.Y. — Rechler Equity Partners plans to develop three build-to-suit properties totaling 119,000 square feet of industrial/flex space within the Islip Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). The project will include a 54,000-square-foot property at 100 Trade Zone Dr., a 24,000-square-foot building at 101 Roebling Court, and a 41,000-square-foot structure at Two Roebling Court. The new buildings join a fourth, fully constructed Rechler-owned asset at 200 Trade Zone Dr. within the FTZ. Situated on 52 acres, Islip FTZ currently offers 435,000 square feet of prime warehouse and office space.
BEAVERTON, ORE. — Oregon Metropolitan Elite Gymnastics Academy (OMEGA) has leased 20,014 square feet at the Harvest Court Industrial building in Beaverton. The building is located at 9700 SW Harvest Court. OMEGA will occupy the space Aug. 1. The academy was represented by Ken Boyko of NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson. The landlord, Lynch Properties LLC, was represented by Scott MacLean of the same firm.
LAKE FOREST, CALIF. – A 103,000-square-foot industrial building in Lake Forest has sold to CT Realty for $13 million. The light manufacturing/warehouse building is located at 20 Icon within the Foothill Ranch Business Park. The Class A building is currently vacant.The CT Realty affiliate plans to implement a capital improvement program to improve the existing building. Gregory Ozimec of Industrial Brokers Inc. represented both the buyer and seller, a private real estate investor, in this transaction.
HIALEAH, FLA. — Easton & Associates has arranged an 80,201-square-foot industrial lease at a 485,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution facility in east Hialeah, about six blocks north of Miami International Airport. The property is a former Winn Dixie distribution center constructed in 1960. Tom Kimen and David Oladle of Easton & Associates represented the landlord, a Midwest-based investor, in the lease transaction. The tenant was Permasteelisa North American Corp., a global construction-related firm.
LANCASTER, N.Y. — Coldwell Banker Commercial Meridian has brokered the acquisition of a modern warehouse and manufacturing facility located on 28 acres in Lancaster. Winnomotive Properties, a Canadian company that manufacturers roll-up doors for emergency vehicles, purchased the property for $1.1 million. The property was formerly used as a Honda four wheeler distribution facility. Eric Tudor and Patricia Collins of Coldwell Banker Commercial Meridian represented the buyer, while Gunner Tronolone of MJ Peterson Commercial represented the seller in the transaction.
ST. LOUIS — Hilliker Corp. has arranged the $237,500 sale of an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing property in St. Louis. The building, located at 3227 N. Ninth St., housed the Crescent Planing Mill Co., a custom architectural woodworking business, which operated at the location since 1890. The 124-year-old property closed its doors in April 2012. Will Aschinger of the Hilliker Corp. represented the buyer, Active Acquisitions LLC, and the seller, Crescent Planing Mill Co.
LAKE COUNTY, ILL. — Peak Construction Corp. has team up with IDI Gazeley — along with Colliers International, Heitman Architects and Jacob & Hefner Associates — to construct a 454,276 square foot industrial facility at the Antioch Corporate Center, a 100-acre master-planned business park in Lake County. The team will kick off the park’s re-ignited development with construction of Building A later this month. The LEED accredited building will feature a 36-foot clear height and 48-by-60 bays. As part of the multi-phased development located near I-94 and Route 45, Building A will cover 23 acres of approximately 100 acres available at the site. Peak Construction Corp. is a design-build general contractor that provides industrial, office, healthcare, hospitality and construction management services. IDI, based in Atlanta, and Gazeley, a London-based industrial real estate company, have formed a new $3.5 billion logistics property platform — IDI Gazeley, which co-brands two full-service industrial property companies under a single corporate umbrella, Brookfield Logistics Properties. Brookfield is an owner, operator and investor in real estate.
LOS ANGELES – A four-property industrial portfolio located in Los Angeles has sold to an unnamed buyer for $5.7 million. The properties included in the transaction are 11918-11920 Jefferson Blvd., along with 11801-11807, 11811 and 11821 Teale Street. The portfolio includes a total of 18,000 square feet. Jack Whalen of Heger Industrial represented both the buyer and seller, Richard J. Laski, acting as a Trustee of the Kaman Estate, in this transaction.
HOUSTON — HFF has completed the sale of three industrial properties totaling 219,452 square feet in Houston’s Pologis Park NorthPark, formerly NorthPark Central Business. HFF marketed the properties on behalf of the seller, J.A. Billipp Co. Prologis Inc. bought the assets for an undisclosed amount. The properties are located at 433, 533 and 600 NorthPark Central Drive. They are close to Interstate 45 and Beltway 8, Hardy Toll Road and George Bush Airport. The buildings are 100 percent leased to tenants including CalAtlantic, Michigan Institute of Aeronautics, Universal Technical Institute and Zoyto. HFF’s sales team included Rusty Tamlyn and Wesley Hightower, who worked with seller principals Andy Billipp and Mark Witte of J.A. Billipp Company.
