SUNNYVALE, CALIF. — Apple Inc. has leased a 53,000-square-foot office and R&D building in Sunnyvale. It is located at 455 De Guigne. The free-standing facility contains a few “creative” amenities that have become commonplace on tech campuses, including basketball and volleyball courts. Apple was represented by Andy Poppink and Craig Krammerer of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Silicon Valley office. The landlord, Westcore Properties, was represented by Dan Hollingsworth and Steve Pace of Cassidy Turley San Jose in this lease transaction.
ELOY, ARIZ. — ElrusUSA Limited has signed a five-year lease for a 71,708-square-foot manufacturing building in Eloy. The building is located at 924 N. Tweedy Road. Elrus was represented by Kevin Lange of Cushman & Wakefield in Phoenix. The landlord, Sky Cast Properties LLC, was represented by Pat Feeney, Dan Calihan and Rusty Kennedy in CBRE’s Phoenix office.
LASALLE, ILL. — A 347,700-square-foot distribution center located at 761-765 Progress Parkway in LaSalle, about 60 miles north of Bloomington, has sold for $9.7 million in a sale-leaseback transaction. The seller, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ, signed a long-term lease with the buyer. Chad Firsel and Daniel Waszak of Quantum Real Estate Advisors Inc. represented the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
WOOD DALE, ILL. — Champion Container Corp. has signed an industrial lease for 89,835 square feet at Chancellory Business Park, located at 1455 N. Michael Drive in Wood Dale, about 25 miles west of Chicago. Champion Container Corp., a custom box shop and full-service distributor of packaging equipment and materials, will consolidate three operation facilities at the location. Brian Colson and Eric Fischer of NAI Hiffman represented the landlord, Prologis, and the tenant in the transaction.

DURHAM, N.C. — Medline Industries Inc. has expanded its lease to a total of 324,536 square feet, and is now occupying the entire CenterPoint I building at 1805 T.W. Alexander Drive in Durham. Centerpoint I is located within the Research Triangle Region, near the Durham Freeway/I-40 interchange. Medline is a privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies. Hooker Manning of Duke Realty and Jackson Rives of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer represented the landlord, Duke Realty, in the transaction.
AUSTIN, TEXAS — Seattle-based Metzler Real Estate has sold TechRidge Five, a 226,076-square-foot industrial property in Austin for $24 million. Investor group GH TechRidge Five Inc. purchased the Class A facility, which is fully leased to NCS Pearson, an education and publishing company. The light industrial facility is located at 905 W. Howard Lane. Metzler was self-represented by Matthew Paddock, in addition to Jack Fraker and Josh McArtor of CBRE, in the transaction.
COLTON, CALIF. — C.R. England has signed a 10-year lease for a 34.36-acre truck terminal property in Colton. The lease is valued at $14.5 million. The property is located at 2250 S. Riverside Ave. It is situated near Interstates 10 and 215, as well as Highway 60. Additional tenants in the area include Fed Ex, Cooper Lighting, Simpson Manufacturing, Exel Logistics, Bob Hubbard Transportation, Pro Build, Razor Scooters and Living Spaces.C.R. England, which is the largest temperature-controlled carrier in the world, will be expanding from its nearby Mira Loma location. The carrier was represented by Jeff Smith and Ryan Lal of Lee & Associates’ Ontario office. The landlord is Heitman Financial.
FLORENCE, KY. — Air cargo carrier company Southern Air opened its new headquarters in Florence near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, which is expected to create up to 150 jobs. The company carries freight for international freight giant DHL in the project. The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $2.7 million through the Kentucky Business Investment program.
