POOLER, GA. — Tokyo, Japan-based Mitsui-Soko, a warehouse and logistics company, has leased 38,400 square feet of distribution space at DP Partners' LogistiPort on Clyde Alexander Way in Pooler. In 2009, Mitsui-Soko opened a 60,000-square-foot distribution center adjacent to LogistiPort as the company's primary East Coast distribution center. LOVES PARK, ILL. — Meridian Design Build has started construction on a 100,000-square-foot build-to-suit warehouse/distribution facility at Loves Park Corporate Center in Loves Park for developer Venture One Real Estate. The building will be leased to Danfoss Drives. Meridian is coordinating the project on a design/bulid basis with Heitman Architects, and Jacob & Hefner Associates is providing architectural and civil engineering services.
HAVERHILL, MASS. — Swix Sport USA Inc., a distributor of ski equipment and supplies, has leased a 64,000-square-foot industrial building at 60 Newark St. in Haverhill. David, James and Micah Stubblebine, all of The Stubblebine Company/CORFAC, represented Swix and the landlord, Leewood Realty Trust, in the transaction.
MANCHESTER, GA.—Coldwell Banker Commercial Eberhardt & Barry has closed on the sale of a 53,354-square-foot production facility in Manchester, Ga., to House of Metals Corp. The property is the former site of G&S Metal's aluminum smelting facilities. New operations will begin at the plant, which is located in Meriwether Industrial Park, in September. ONTARIO, CALIF. – Cobalt Capital Partners, through its Cobalt Industrial REIT III affiliate, has acquired the 111,890-square-foot Dupont Business Center in Ontario, Calif. This marks Cobalt's first expansion into the Los Angeles-area market. Built in 2001, Dupont Business Center consists of two vacant buildings. Cobalt plans to transform the center into multi-tenant suites that range from 15,000 square feet to 111,890 square feet.
MISSOURI CITY –– The Allied Group has purchased Building 3, a 152,800-square-foot industrial facility, in the Lakeview Business Park located at 14623 Fairway Pines Drive. The Allied Group also purchased 31 acres of land in addition to Building 3. The facility will house The Allied Group’s subsidiary Warren Alloy Valve & Fitting Co. DALLAS –– NorthMarq Capital has arranged first mortgage financing of $16.5 million for an 11 building portfolio spread across Dallas and Houston. The properties make up 1.6 million square feet of industrial space. Bart Dickinson of NorthMarq’s Dallas office arranged the loan on a 10-year term with a 15-year amortization schedule through its correspondent relationship with Nationwide Insurance.
