FLORENCE, S.C. — Farmington, Conn.-based Otis Elevator has purchased the 423,581-square-foot Florence Industrial Center, located at 1500 Range Way in Florence, from Hackman Capital for an undisclosed price. John Ticon and Edward Kercher of Cushman & Wakefield's Charleston, S.C., office represented the buyer in the transaction. Randy Stump of Charlotte, N.C.-based The Stump Corp. represented the seller.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Minneapolis-based NorthMarq Capital has arranged $6.55 million in first mortgage financing for Woodbine Warehouse, a 200,000-square-foot industrial facility at 5717 Enterprise Pkwy. in Syracuse. NorthMarq's Michael James arranged the financing based on a 10-year term with a 15-year amortization schedule through NorthMarq's correspondent relationship with Sun Life of Canada.

CHICAGO — Summit Design + Build has completed a $20 million, 91,000-square-foot headquarters and product distribution facility for Testa Produce, located at 4555 S. Racine Ave. in Chicago. The facility sits on 11 acres in the Chicago Stockyards Industrial Park. Testa Produce will relocate from its existing facility at 1501 N. Blue Island Ave. in Chicago.

PORT WASHINGTON, WIS. — Aldrich Chemical Co. has purchased a 182,000-square-foot industrial property, located at 690 W. Oakland Ave. in Port Washington, from Park Street Industrial. Brian Parrish and Dave Hazenfield of Milwaukee-based The Dickman Co. — CORFAC International represented the seller in the transaction. Elizabeth Kane and Katie Hobbins of Coldwell Banker Commercial represented the buyer.

LAREDO — Logistics companies Exel and DHL Supply Chain have announced plans to construct a 250,000-square-foot build-to-suit distribution center in Laredo. The project is expected to bring 100 new jobs. The center is being constructed to support cross-border business between the U.S. and Mexico. The facility will break ground this fall and is slated for a July 2012 completion. The companies are pursuing LEED certification for the property, which will be the first LEED certified distribution center in Laredo as well as Exel's first LEED distribution center in North America.

FREMONT, CALIF. – Furniture distributor Homelegance has completed a 154,435 -square-foot expansion at its Fremont facility. Homelegance originally purchased the property in 2010 with the intention to expand. It now consists of about 520,000 square feet. The expansion’s completion was announced by Casey Ricksen, senior vice president with Colliers International’s Oakland office. It was undertaken by Tulloch Construction.

EVANS (GREELEY), COLO. – A 63,628-square-foot Evans Self Storage facility has sold to a local limited liability company for $2.5 million. Matt Tyler and Chico LeClaire, national self-storage investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Denver office, marketed the listing exclusively on behalf of the seller, a private investor. The buyer was secured and also represented by the duo.
