BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. — Philadelphia-based Binswanger has brokered the sale of the former Syroco warehouse located in Baldwinsville. The building is situated on 63 acres at 7474 State Fair Blvd. It contains 269,178 square feet of space and has been vacant since Syroco ceased operations in 2007. Tessy Plastics Corp. acquired the building for $3.15 million and plans to occupy it. James Panczykowski of Binswanger was the sole broker in the deal. Binswanger is also marketing the adjacent 217,280-square-foot factory that was also occupied by Syroco.

HOUSTON — The Houston office of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF) has closed the sale of a 14-property self-storage portfolio located in Texas, California, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Aaron Swerdlin and Doug McCarron of HFF represented the unlisted seller. Public Storage purchased four properties in California and one in Hawaii totaling 3,528 units. Meanwhile, Metro Self Storage bought the remaining nine properties totaling 5,395 units.
SAN ANTONIO — Dallas-based Glazer's Distributors, a distributor of wine and spirits, plans to invest $26 million to build a marketing and distribution center near Port San Antonio through a 10-year, 100 percent tax abatement approved by San Antonio's city council. The 250,000-square-foot facility will sit on a 35-acre site at SH 151 and South Callaghan Road that the city of San Antonio sold for $1.5 million. Con-way Freight, a logistics company, also plans to expand by the end of 2015 through an $8.5 million expansion and relocation to the Cornerstone Business Park at 1511 Cornerway Blvd. in San Antonio. The city council is considering approving a 6-year, 35 percent abatement and economic development grant with a combined value of $178,400.
ONTARIO, CALIF. — BlackRidge Real Estate Group LLC has acquired a 302,020-square-foot distribution center, located at 1000 Etiwanda Ave. in Ontario, from BIT Holdings Forty-Three for $14.4 million. Constructed in 1989 and 100 percent leased to DCG Fulfillment, the steel-frame, concrete tilt-up distribution building includes 6,900 square feet of office space. CB Richard Ellis’ Frank Geraci, Jerry Nourse and Walt Chenoweth represented the seller in the transaction.
ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Lee & Associates has negotiated the $7.4 million purchase of a 57,593-square-foot warehouse facility located at 3400 E. Miraloma Ave. in Anaheim. The brokerage firm’s Dennis Keane and Adam Dzierzynski represented the buyer, HSJQ USA, in the transaction, and CB Richard Ellis’ Brad Bierbaum and Ian Britton represented the seller, the Sares-Regis Group, which developed the LEED-certified Canyon Point project with the strategic plan to sell to a user.
FOUR OAKS, N.C. — Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a global medical technology company, is planning to develop an East Coast distribution center in Four Oaks. Situated on 130 acres within Four Oaks Business Park, the 720,000-square-foot facility will be expandable to more than 1.1 million square feet. Construction of the $38 million project is scheduled for completion in mid-2011, with the facility slated to receive product by late 2011. The facility will serve BD customers from Maine to Florida.
BYRON CENTER, MICH. — Claymore Solutions LLC has purchased an industrial property, which is located at 8505 Piedmont Industrial Parkway SW in Byron Center. The 23,668-square-foot property sold for an undisclosed price. Chad Versluis of NAI West Michigan represented the buyer; Versluis and David Smies, also of NAI West Michigan, represented the seller, Huntington Bank, in the transaction.
CHICAGO — RED Belmont has purchased a two-building industrial property at 2710-18 W. Belmont in Chicago. Republic Bank sold the 7,800-square-foot property, which is situated on a 12,000-square-foot site. Megan Meyer of Chicago Industrial Real Estate represented the buyer; James Hodur of Coldwell Banker Commercial represented the seller in the transaction. The sales price was not released.
KANSAS CITY, KAN. — Youngstown, Ohio-based Comprehensive Logistics, a third-party logistics provider, has signed a lease for 220,000 square feet of industrial space at 5300 Kansas Ave. within Kansas City's Turner Industrial District. The tenant plans to use the facility to receive international parts and sort the parts for distribution to the nearby General Motors Corp. Fairfax Assembly Plant. With this transaction, the 513,000-square-foot property is 100 percent leased to a variety of tenants, including Wainwright Inc. and Ozburn-Hessey Logistics. Howard Moss of Omni Consulting Group and Jack Allen of Karbank Real Estate Co. represented the tenant; Mark Long and John Green of Zimmer Real Estate Services, along with Bill Hardy of BH Properties, represented the landlord, BH Properties.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — San Francisco-based Terreno Realty Corp. has acquired a 413,092-square-foot distribution center in South Brunswick from a joint venture between IDI and J.P. Morgan Asset Management for $22.5 million. Located at 130 Interstate Blvd., the property is leased to The Home Depot. It features 200 car parking spaces, 28-foot ceiling heights and 13,000 square feet of office space. The building is situated on 25.33 acres within Middlesex Center, a five-building, 3.65 million-square-foot master-planned development. The Cushman & Wakefield team of Gary Gabriel, Paul Torosian, Andrew Merin and David Bernhaut represented the seller.
