MIRA LOMA, CALIF. — The Corporation of the Presiding Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has purchased a 95,527-square-foot industrial building located on five acres at 12160 Philadelphia Ave. in Mira Loma. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. NAI Capital’s David Knowlton represented the buyer in the transaction, and Voit Real Estate Services’ Greg Sargenti represented the seller, Rhodes Development. According to Knowlton, the new owner will utilize the facility for the bulk storage and distribution of food and household products to support worldwide disaster relief.

NEW ALBANY, OHIO — The Pizzuti Companies has broken ground for the development of a headquarters and operations facility for Accel Inc. Located in the New Albany Business Park in New Albany, the $18 million, 417,000-square-foot facility was designed by Columbus, Ohio-based Glavan Feher Architects. The project, which is seeking LEED Silver certification, is scheduled for completion in June 2011.
ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Voit Real Estate Services has negotiated the $9.25 million sale of a 78,912-square-foot industrial and office business park property located at 1240 & 1250 North Lakeview Ave. in Anaheim. Voit’s Alan Pekarcik, Dan Vittone and Nick Frasco represented the seller, Foremost Airport Las Vegas Ltd., in the transaction; the buyer, FKC Properties, represented itself.
CARSON, CALIF. — Watson Land Co. has leased a 200,892-square-foot industrial property, located at 800 East 230th St. in Carson, to Pacer Distribution Services in a 5-year deal worth $6.2 million. Situated on 11 acres within Watson Industrial Center, the property features 30 dock-high positions, a 29-foot ceiling clearance and two truck yards. Grubb & Ellis’ Steve Sprenger represented Pacer in the transaction, and Watson Land was represented in-house by Lance Ryan and Mike Bodlovich.
MESA, ARIZONA — Cassidy Turley BRE Commercial has completed the $4.4 million sale of the 222,457-square-foot Pecos Commerce Center, a multi-tenant office/warehouse property located at 7931 E. Pecos Rd. in Mesa. The commercial real estate services provider’s Bob Buckley, Steve Lindley and Tracy Cartledge represented both the buyer and the seller — Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Wilson Property Services and Keybank (aka OREO Corp.), respectively — in the transaction.
CHESAPEAKE, VA. — 201 Dexter LLC has acquired a 452,000-square-foot industrial property for $6 million. The buyer will occupied a portion of the property, which is located on approximately 20 acres at 201 W. Dexter St. in Chesapeake. The seller was Chesapeake Hardwood Products. Clay Culberth of Thalhimer and Stephanie Sanker of S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. represented the buyer in the transaction.
ESCONDIDO, CALIF. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the $5.2 million sale of State Place Business Park, a 49,324-square-foot multi-tenant business park located at 300-398 State Place in Escondido. Built in 1990 and 1999, the four-building property was more than 90 percent leased at the time of sale. Marcus & Millichap’s Michael Lawrence assisted the seller in a transaction involving two limited-liability companies.
SANDY, UTAH — On behalf of CC Industries, Binswanger has closed the sale of a two-building, 60,827-square-foot facility, located two blocks from Interstate 15 on 11.321 acres at 9100 South 500 West in Sandy. The Salt Lake City-based buyer was LRF Development III LLC. Eric Dienstbach of Philadelphia-based Binswanger represented the seller.
WAUKESHA, WIS. — E&R Machine Products Inc. has completed the disposition of a 10,500-square-foot property in Waukesha. Blue Fox Enterprises acquired the property, which is located at 405 Travis Lane, for an undisclosed price. Adam Matson and Brett Garceau of NAI MLG Commercial handled the transaction.
FOXBOROUGH, MASS. — Parsons Commercial Group has arranged the build-to-suit sale of a 6.87-acre property located at 67 Green St. in Foxborough. Local manufacturer Maltz Sales Co. acquired the site from East Weymouth, Mass.-based Construction Planners. In addition, Maltz has hired Construction Planners to construct a 30,000-square-foot industrial building on the site for use as Maltz' new headquarters. Matthew Morgan of Parsons represented the buyer in the land purchase, and Arlon Brown, also of Parsons, represented the seller.
