WALLKILL, N.Y. — President Container Group (PCG) has acquired two industrial buildings located in Panattoni Business Center. The buildings total 522,000 square feet and are rail served. PCG plans to use the buildings for the manufacturing and warehousing of corrugated containers. Jim Tully of CB Richard Ellis arranged the deal.

HOUSTON — GRA-Gulf Coast Construction has broken ground on a 115,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for the wooden pallet manufacturer Neopal in Houston. The property will be located on 13 acres at the intersection of Vickery and Aldine Bender. Chris Caudill and Joel Michael of NAI Houston represented the tenant in negotiations.
POMONA, CALIF. — Overton Moore Properties has sold a 132,655-square-foot industrial building, located at 2303 Mt. Vernon Ave. in Pomona, to Pearson Food Co. for an undisclosed amount. Including 7,500 square feet of office space, the state-of-the-art facility is the fourth and final building sold by OMP at Empire Gateway Business Center, which was completed in 2008. Cushman & Wakefield’s Stuart Milligan, Phil Lombardo and Ty Newland represented OMP in the transaction, and David Wu of Grubb & Ellis represented the California-based buyer.
HOUSTON — Walton Roofing has purchased a 29,687-square-foot office and industrial property from Airgas for an undisclosed price. The property is located at 8350 Mosley Road in Houston. MEMPHIS, TENN. — Earle M. Jorgenson Co. has broken ground on a 72,000-square-foot warehouse at the intersection of U.S. Highway 64 and Highway 385 in Memphis. The property will be part of the Eastridge Business Park. Edward Saig of NAI Saig represented Earle M. Jorgenson the purchase.
MELROSE PARK, ILL. — Spirit Distribution has signed a lease for 40,338 square feet of industrial warehouse space in Melrose Park. Located at 2680 W. Lake St., the property features 24-foot ceiling clearances, six docks and a small office area. CHICAGO — M&S Pallets has signed a lease for 34,740 square feet of industrial space at 4042 W. Lake St. in Chicago. The company is relocating from Cicero, Ill. Terms of the lease were not released. Michael Nelson and Mark Nelson of Paine/Wetzel•ONCOR International represented the landlord, James Athanasopoulos, in the transaction.
HAWTHORNE, CALIF. — A partnership of Kearny Real Estate Co. and Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund V has sold 1.4 million square feet of industrial and manufacturing space, located at 190th and Figueroa Street within the Century Business Center in Hawthorne, to Buchanan Street Partners and Zelman Development Co. for $40 million. The entire space is leased by Vought Aircraft Industries, which recently renewed its space commitment through 2015. The sale involves one five-story, 254,000-square-foot office building and six industrial manufacturing buildings, including a 1 million-square-foot facility used by Vought as the sole manufacturing center for fuselage panels for Boeing's 747 aircraft. Kearny was represented by Fisher Corporate Real Estate’s Jeff Kernochan and Bill Palmer of The Palmer Team; Buchanan Street Partners and Zelman Development were represented in-house.
WEST DUNDEE, ILL. — King Shan LLC is developing a 35,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution facility within Oakview Corporate Park in West Dundee. Designed by Opus Architects & Engineers, the facility is scheduled for completion in September. Opus North Corp. is providing design-build services for the project. Headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, King Shan is a manufacturer of steel wire and metal fabrication. Noel Liston of Darwin Realty & Development represented both King Shan and Opus in the transaction.
NOVI, MICH. — Kongsberg Automotive has leased a 40,583-square-foot flex/R&D space at Novi Research Park, which is located at 27275 Haggerty Road in Novi. The company focuses on seat comfort, driver and motion control systems, fluid assemblies and industrial driver interface products.
