ONTARIO, CALIF. — Grubb & Ellis has represented Saddle Creek Corp. in a 432,308-square-foot warehouse/distribution lease at 5431 E. Philadelphia St. in Ontario. The third-party logistics company immediately took occupancy at the ProLogis Corp. property after signing a 5-year lease. Grubb & Ellis’ Ron Washle and Mark Kegans teamed up with Ladson Montgomery of Grubb & Ellis|Phoenix Realty Group to represent the Lakeland, Fla.-based lessee in the transaction; the property’s landlord represented itself.
PORTSMOUTH, VA. — PFR Properties II has acquired a 76,000-square-foot warehouse from RADVA Corp. for $1.6 million. The building sits on 8 acres at 2211 Elliott Ave. in Portsmouth. After a renovation, the site will be the new corporate headquarters of Special Events Entertainment and Rentals. Thalhimer's Patrick Mumey brokered the sale.
MEDLEY, FLA. — USPly Trading Co. has signed a 37,440-square-foot lease with PPF Lincoln-Medley at the 670,000-square-foot Lincoln Logistics Park. The property is located at 12604 NW 115th Ave. in Medley. The building features office space and ESFR sprinklers. ST. PETERS, MO. — Hard, Austria-based Alpla Inc. has purchased an 83,485-square-foot industrial property, located at 9 Cermak Blvd. in St. Peters. The plastic packaging solutions manufacturer plans to initially invest $12 to $16 million in the facility and hire approximately 50 to 100 employees. Allen Klippel and Marc Cacciarelli of CB Richard Ellis represented the undisclosed seller; Southfield, Mich.-based Plante Moran CRESA represented the buyer. The acquisition price was not released.
SAGINAW, TEXAS — Cadence McShane Construction Co. will soon start construction on the 185,221-square-foot CTI Foods headquarters at 504 Sansom Blvd. in Saginaw. The property will encompass 23,968 square feet of office space and a 104,226-square-foot production area. The firm is also building 57,027 square feet of refrigerated storage. Pross Design Group provided architectural services for the project.
ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Ashwill Associates has negotiated Advantage Mailing Inc.’s nearly $11.2 million acquisition of a 154,225-square-foot industrial property located at 1600 N. Kraemer Blvd. in Anaheim. Ashwill’s Steve Brackmann and Shaun Kearney represented the buyer in the transaction, and CB Richard Ellis’ Ben Seybold, Ian Britton, Rick McGeagh and Darren Kim represented the seller, Crossroads Investors LP.
GILROY, CALIF. — Libitzky Property Cos. has purchased a 125,000-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing facility, located at 8190 Murray Ave. in Gilroy, for $5.5 million. Lee & Associates’ Drew Fischer and Jesse Lucas represented the buyer in the sale-leaseback transaction, and Marcella Harrison of GVA Whitney represented the seller, Angelica Corp.
MARIETTA, S.C. — Sage Automotive Interiors will invest $10 million in its Gayley plant in Marietta during the next 5 years. The expansion initiative will include adding 80 new employees to the plant, which currently houses 200 workers. Sage creates parts for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Hyundai. The Greenville Area Development Corporation assisted in the initiative. Physical improvements are ongoing, and the company may start hiring by the end of the year.
BEDFORD PARK, ILL. — GRM has acquired a 300,000-square-foot industrial property, which is located at 7123 W. 65th St. in Bedford Park. The facility sold for $8.15 million. GRM, an information management services provider, plans to use the property to accommodate its growing presence in the Chicago market. Jeanne Rogers of Arthur J. Rogers & Co. represented the buyer; Mitch Adam and Mike Caprille of CB Richard Ellis represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.
