HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILL. — McHenry, Ill.-based Dixon Construction Group has broken ground for the construction of a new 32,916-square-foot facility for Big Kaiser Precision Tool in Hoffman Estates. The new building will be located on a 2.95-acre site at 2600 Huntington Blvd. within the 70-acre Huntington Corporate Center. It will feature approximately 14,000 square feet of administrative offices, approximately 10,000 square feet of warehouse space, an auditorium-style training facility and a 5,000-square-foot showroom. Big Kaiser plans to relocate to the new space from its current location in Elk Grove Village, Ill., by the fourth quarter of this year. Theresa Gleason of Chicago-based Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International and Mike Gazzola of Dixon Cos., the parent company of Dixon Construction, represented Big Kaiser in the land purchase for the new facility. The seller and developer of Huntington Corporate Center, McShane Development Co., negotiated the deal in-house.

JENKINS TOWNSHIP, PA. — Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services has leased a newly constructed, speculative industrial building located in Jenkins Township in Pennsylvania’s Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. Safelite AutoGlass will occupy the 44,800-square-foot facility, which is situated on 5 acres within CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park. The facility was built by Mericle and was completed in February. It will serve as one of Safelite’s largest warehouses in the United States. Joseph McDermott and Vincent Ranalli of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenants. Mericle, which is also the developer of CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park, was represented in-house by Jim Hilsher. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Bethesda, Md.-based Stanley Martin Commercial has completed a 70,000-square-foot facility for DHL Express USA, which will house the company’s Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland operations. The property is located at 3130 V St. N.E. in Washington. Nearly 60 full-time jobs have been created to initially staff the facility, with additional employees expected to be hired in the next few months.

ROMEOVILLE, ILL. — Denver-based ProLogis has leased 215,000 square feet of distribution space within ProLogis Park 55 in Romeoville. Sanyo Logistics Corp., a division of Sanyo Electric Co., will occupy the space within the Class A park. This marks the seventh lease agreement between Sanyo and ProLogis. The electronics company leases approximately 2 million square feet of space at ProLogis distribution facilities in Southern California, Chicago and Japan. ProLogis Park 55 is a six-building, approximately 3.1 million-square-foot A industrial park located along Interstate 55, between Weber Road and Route 53, in Romeoville. Other tenants include Kimberly-Clark, APL Logistics and Procter & Gamble.

HOUSTON — NAI Houston has brokered the purchase of a newly constructed, 20,700-square-foot industrial property located at 7310 West Rd. in Houston. NAI’s Chris Caudill and Jon Michael of represented the buyer, Limin Properties, Ltd. The seller, A.E.N. West Rail Center LP, was represented by Steve Adkisson of The National Realty Group. The acquisition price was not disclosed.

BROWNSTOWN, MICH. — Friedman Real Estate Group has arranged the long-term leasing of 92,000 square feet of industrial space, located at 18400 Telegraph Rd. in Brownstown. The space will be occupied by Reino Linen Service, an Ohio-based healthcare laundry. Greg Hornby of Friedman represented the landlord, T&R Investments, in lease negotiations.

LOS ANGELES — IDS USA, an integrated distribution services provider, has signed a lease for AMB Galleano, a distribution center located in the Inland Empire West submarket of Los Angeles. The company plans to use the more than 645,000-square-foot facility for consolidation and expansion of its Los Angeles-based operations. Steve Sperber, John Isaacs, Walt Chenoweth and Frank Geraci of CB Richard Ellis represented IDS USA; Tim O’Rourke and Mike Fowler of Jones Lang LaSalle, along with Mike McCrary of Colliers International, represented the owner, AMB Property Corp., in the transaction.

SAN BERNARDINO, CALIF. — Interline Brands Inc. has leased 141,650 square feet of distribution space in Westgate Building One at AllianceCalifornia, a 2.6 million-square-foot business development in San Bernardino. Located at 310 S. Tippecanoe St., the property will house a regional distribution center for Interline Brands. John McDaniel of Dallas-based Mohor Partners represented the tenant; Peter McWilliams, Ruben Goodsell and Michael McCrary of Colliers International represented the landlord, Hillwood, a Perot company, in the transaction.
