LA MIRADA, CALIF. — Voit Commercial Brokerage has completed three transactions totaling $14.7 million in La Mirada. In the first transaction, Faro Services signed a 5-year lease for a 210,300-square-foot industrial building. The property is located at 15910 Valley View Ave. Cameron Driscoll and Luke McDaniel of Voit’s Anaheim, Calif., office represented the lessee in the $5.9 million transaction. The landlord, Warehouse Investment Partners, was self-represented. In the second transaction, DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services represented George Yao in the $5.5 million acquisition of a 59,000-square-foot building located at 15905 Canary. Peter Castleton of Voit’s Anaheim office represented the seller, RGB Partners. In the final transaction, Champion Exposition Services Inc. signed a 5-year lease for a 76,244-square-foot industrial building, which is located at 14701 Industry Circle. The transaction was valued at $3.3 million. Driscoll and McDaniel represented the lessee; Steve Sprenger and Shawn Kelter of Grubb & Ellis represented the landlord, Berns & Sanderson LP, in the transaction.

CHICAGO — Oakbrook, Ill.-based NAI Hiffman has been hired by Mirvac Industrial Trust to manage and lease the Sydney, Australia-based REIT’s Chicago area portfolio. The 68-building portfolio comprises 14.2 million square feet of warehouse and flex office space located in and around the O’Hare market, the Interstate 55 Corridor, the Northern Cook market, the DuPage market and the Kane County market. Additional properties in the portfolio are located in Milwaukee; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Northwest Indiana. NAI Hiffman assumed responsibility of the assignment on February 10th. The portfolio houses more than 100 tenants, including True Value Co., APL Logistics, Nexus and Prairie Packaging. With the addition of the Mirvac Industrial Trust properties, NAI Hiffman manages 41.2 million square feet of third-part owned assets.
ONTARIO, CALIF. — Aspen Distribution has leased a 102,878-square-foot industrial building, which is located at 5505 Concours within Crossroads Business Park in Ontario, for $3.5 million. The facility features 65,572 square feet of 45-degree refrigerated space and 34,204 square feet of dry storage space. Aspen Distribution is a third-party logistics company that does contract warehousing for the medical, grocery, industrial, retail and paper industries. Don Kazanjian of Lee & Associates represented the tenant; Clyde Stauff and Michael McCrary of Colliers International’s Ontario office represented the landlord, The Caldwell Company, in the transaction.
PAPILLION, NEB. — Omaha-based Darland Construction Co. is acting as construction manager for a 63,000-square-foot, Tier IV data center located in Papillion. Midlands Data Center, which is being completed on behalf of a joint venture between Alegent Health and CoSentry, will be situated on Alegent Health’s Midlands Hospital campus. Each 25,000-square-foot level of the two-story building will include two 5,000-square-foot raised floor data suites. Additionally, the facility will house approximately 13,000 square feet of office space, as well as a secured equipment yard and dual functioning loading docks. Midlands Data Center will store Alegent Health’s electronic medical records, digital imaging for cardiology and radiology, and the data and equipment of other CoSentry clients. The facility was designed by Altus Architectural Studios to withstand 250 mph winds. Construction of the project began in January.
CORONA, CALIF. — Peter and Thelma Karagines have purchased an 8,128-square-foot industrial property, which is located at 2047 Cecilia Circle in Corona. Golden West Enterprises LLC sold the property for $1.2 million. Walter Frome and Bill Livesay of Voit Commercial Brokerage, a member of CORFAC International, represented the seller in the transaction.
TAMPA, FLA. — Dealer Tire has renewed its 49,286-square-foot lease for space at a Tampa warehouse with its landlord, Exeter-11316 N. 46 Street LLC. The warehouse space is located at 11316 N. 46th St., Unit A. Terms of the lease were not disclosed. Rian Smith and Chris Sass of Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa office and Mike Davis of the firm’s San Jose, Calif., office brokered the deal.
OBETZ, OHIO — Kenco Logistic Services has signed a lease for approximately 1.17 million square feet of industrial space within KIRCO’s Centerpoint Business Park located in Obetz. Kenco will move into an existing 701,808-square-foot building within the multi-phased development in March, with plans to complete a 464,207-square-foot expansion of the facility by June. The building includes 32-foot clear ceiling heights, parking for 300 trailers and 115 dock doors. Dan Wendorf in the Columbus, Ohio, office of Jones Lang LaSalle and Dan McGillicuddy in the Chicago office of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Kenco in negotiations. The landlord, KIRCO, was represented in-house in the transaction. Additional terms of the lease were not disclosed.
OLDMANS TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Cranbury, N.J.-based Matrix Development Group has sold a 1 million-square-foot development parcel, located within Gateway Business Park in Oldmans Township, to National Freight Industries for the development of new industrial space for the logistics provider. Development plans were not released at the time of the sale. Gateway Business Park is being developed by Matrix as a public-private partnership. Upon completion, it will contain 3.5 million square feet of manufacturing, warehouse and distribution space. Tenants already located within the park include Goya Foods, JE Berkowitz Glass, Garden State Freezers and Manfredi Cold Storage. Three development parcels remain for sale at Gateway: one approved for 100,000 square feet of construction, a second approved for 263,000 square feet and a third approved for up to 705,901 square feet.
SECAUCUS, N.J. — Major League Baseball has held the grand opening for its new television network studio in Secaucus. Known as the MLB Network, the all-baseball channel will operate out of MLB Network Studios, which is located within locally based Hartz Mountain Indutstries’ Harmon Cove industrial/flex development. The MLB leased 142,271 square feet from Hartz Mountain in 2008, and spent the year renovating the space to accommodate television production. Construction included two new studios and the conversion of the entire facility for hi-definition broadcasts. In addition, the street leading to the studio was recently designated MLB Network Plaza. The MLB Network officially launched on January 1 in 50 million homes.
TACOMA, WASH. — The Port of Tacoma has acquired a 99,750-square-foot industrial facility in Tacoma. Located at 2000 Taylor Way, the 7.23-acre property sold for $11.75 million. The seller was Rangar West One LLC. Todd Clarke of GVA Kidder Mathews represented the buyer in the transaction.
