DELRAY BEACH, FLA. — Blue Bell Creameries has purchased 2.25 acres of land for a future office and distribution facility from West Atlantic Property Associates for $1.4 million. The land is located at 9641 W. Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach. William Mankin of Fort Myers, Fla.-based Colliers Arnold represented Blue Bell, and Gordon Lunt of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Berger Commercial Realty Corp. represented West Atlantic.

MEMPHIS, TENN. — Bunzl Distribution USA, a supplier of safety and food packaging products, has signed a lease with IDI for 96,039 square feet of space in its Airways Distribution Center Building C. Bunzl is consolidating two existing facilities into the space. The Memphis warehouse is part of the 2.5-million-square-foot Airways Distribution Center. Kansas City, Mo.-based Colliers Turley Martin Tucker’s Mark Sonnenberg and Memphis-based Colliers Wilkinson Snowden’s Bayard Snowden represented the tenant. Tim Moore served as in-house representation for IDI.
PALATINE, ILL. — BCI Acrylic Bath Systems has signed a 10-year lease for a 71,000-square-foot building, located at 514-532 S. Hicks Rd. in Palatine. The building features 18-foot clear ceiling heights, eight interior docks, three drive-in doors, 1,600 amps of power and office space. BCI had previously been occupying 39,000 square feet in the same building. It has the option to purchase the building in the future. Noel Liston of Elmhurst, Ill.-based Darwin Realty & Development Corp. represented the tenant. The landlord, Mirvac Industrial Trust, was represented by David Haigh and Steven Masters of NAI Hiffman.
QUAKERTOWN, PA. — Grubb & Ellis Company has completed the sale of a 20,100-square-foot industrial building at 103 Erie Ave. in Quakertown. The facility was purchased by Lepko Management from Mash Partnership. Joe Stephenson of Grubb & Ellis’ King of Prussia office represented the seller in the transaction.
MONCURE, N.C. — Uniboard is nearly finished developing its $160 million medium- and high-density fiberboard plant in Moncure. The foundation is 80 percent complete, and the production and warehouse areas are 50 percent done. The facility will supply fiberboard to cabinet and furniture manufacturers as well as Pergo, a laminate flooring manufacturer. Completion is slated for the fourth quarter.
CHATTANOOGA, TENN. — Michael Maffia of NAI BT Commercial’s San Francisco office represented an undisclosed party in the sale of a FedEx Freight facility to a private buyer for $8.66 million. The property, which spans 45,735 square feet, sits on 19.37 acres at 4256 Shallowford Rd. in Chattanooga. FedEx has a 15-year net lease on the property, which was built in 2008.
JOLIET, ILL. — Ecolab has renewed its lease for 177,829 square feet at 3501 Corporate Drive, a 408,394-square-foot industrial building located in Joliet. The building is situated within Southfield Business Park; it is currently 70 percent occupied with a 124,552-square-foot space still available. Ecolab is currently occupying the space on a short-term basis, but has the option to expand into it permanently at a later date. Ecolab has been a tenant at the building since 2004. Geoffrey Kasselman and Daniel Dakhil of Op2mize LLC represented the landlord, Liberty Property Trust. The tenant was represented by Patrick Lederer of Korman Lederer Associates and Ken Boyd of Jackson Cooksey. Terms of the lease were not released.
KENT, WASH. — Kimberly-Clark is consolidating and relocating its northwest regional distribution operations to East Valley Warehouse in Kent. The company has leased 516,000 square feet of industrial space at the distribution center, which is owned by AMB Properties Corp. The global health and hygiene company will occupy the space in September. Additional details of the transaction were not disclosed.
FREDERICKSBURG AND RICHMOND, VA. — Liberty Property Trust has recently secured two industrial lease renewals in Virginia totaling more than 215,000 square feet. The Simmons Manufacturing Company has renewed its 128,500-square-foot lease at 9601 Cosner Dr. in Fredericksburg. Brian Witthoefft served as in-house representation for Liberty. Terry’s Tire Town Virginia has re-leased 90,000 square feet at 4501 Carolina Ave. in Richmond. Porter Realty’s Richard Porter represented the tenant, and Brian Felton represented Liberty in house.
MENOMONEE FALLS AND OCONOMOWOC, WIS. — Colliers Barry has brokered the sale of two industrial facilities in Wisconsin. The first property is located in Menomonee Falls Industrial Park in Menomonee Falls. It comprises a 24,500-square-foot building situated on more than 3 acres of land. It also has a 12-foot clear ceiling height. Kanehl Properties LLC purchased the building from a group led by Norbert Miller. The buyer is expanding from Milwaukee to this building. James Young of Colliers Barry brokered the transaction on behalf of the seller and Jim Allen and Terry McMahon of Boerke Co. represented the buyer. Colliers Barry also brokered the sale of a 14,000-square-foot building located at 1815 Executive Dr. in Oconomowoc. JM Development purchased the building from the Trainor Family Q TIP Trust. JM Development will renovate the building by adding offices and converting the space into a two-tenant layout. Young again represented the seller, and Dave Hazenfield of Dickman Co. represented the buyer.
