HAMPSHIRE, ILL. — Stanley Machining and Tool Corp. has purchased a 152,429-square-foot manufacturing facility located at 200 Brandt Dr. in Hampshire. The building was sold by Northbrook, Ill.-based Hilco Real Estate for $5.1 million. Situated on 12.7 acres, the facility includes 12 truck docks and 120 parking spaces. Stanley Machining and Tool Corp. will maintain its 110,000-square-foot headquarters in Carpentersville, Ill., and will use its new property for manufacturing high precision components. John Cash and David Haigh of NAI Hiffman’s Industrial Services Group represented the seller; Romeo Mura of Stonegate Commercial represented the buyer in the transaction.

POMPANO BEACH, FLA. — Tilt-Con Corp. of Orlando, Fla., has completed Jacksonville, Fla.-based The Stellar Group’s 55,177-square-foot Ring Power-Pompano flex space facility. The two-story building is located at 2631 S.W. 18th Terrace in Pompano Beach. The Stellar Group designed the property, and Tilt-Con provided construction services including tilt-up concrete wall panels, elevated decks and slab-on grade.
OMAHA, NEB. — On behalf of Ford Mercantile Warehouse Co., Darland Construction Co. has completed a 120,000-square-foot corporate warehouse within the Hilltop Industrial Park, which is located south of the Omaha metro area. Situated on a 12-acre site, the facility’s primary use is warehousing. The property includes outside storage for up to 70 semi trailers; a 16,000-square-foot, two-story office component that will house Ford’s corporate offices; and an 8,000-square-foot truck repair shop for Ford’s delivery trucks. Amenities at the property include 28-foot clear ceiling heights, an ESFR sprinkler system and an energy-efficient lighting system designed with motion sensors that provide light only in areas being utilized. The project was designed to allow future expansion of the facility in two directions. Meyer & Associates served as the architect for the project. The estimated cost of completion was not disclosed.
CHICAGO — Meridian Design Build has been selected as design/build general contractor for a 37,942-square-foot industrial facility, which will be located within the Stockyards Industrial Park in Chicago. The building, which is scheduled for completion during the second quarter, is being constructed on behalf of Gypsum Supply Co. In addition to warehouse and distribution space, the facility will include 3,000 square feet of offices/employee support areas, as well as a production showroom. Cornerstone Architects is serving as the designer for the project. Adam Goldberg and John Helgesen are handling the project for Meridian Design Build. Jeff Galante of Lee & Associates represented Gypsum Supply Co. in the acquisition of the site. The estimated cost of completing the project was not disclosed.
LOGAN, N.J. — Reno, Nev.-based DP Partners has signed a lease with Dallas-based Kimberly-Clark Corp. for a new 599,500-square-foot, build-to-suit distribution facility located within DP’s LogistiCenter at Logan, a 1,000-acre industrial park located in the Philadelphia suburb of Logan. Groundbreaking occurred in August 2008, and completion is scheduled for summer 2009. The new building will be situated on 60 acres fronting Commerce Boulevard. It will have a cross-docked design, and will include 32-foot clear ceiling heights, 50-foot by 53-foot bays, 60 truck docks, two drive-in doors, 7,000 square feet of office space, ESFR sprinkler systems, parking for 400 trailers and 100 cars, and expansion capability up to 800,000 square feet. The project is being developed as a joint venture between DP and Boston-based Great Point Investors. The project architect is York, Pa.-based TransSystems. Representing DP in-house was John Atwell, Michael Alderman and Stephen Bailey. The trio worked with LogistiCenter’s land listing agent, Mt. Laurel, N.J.-based NAI Mertz, whose team included Tony DiDio, Leroy Kardon and Scott Mertz. Kimberly-Clark was represented by Matthew Stauber of Rosemont, Ill.-based Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler, and Marc Isdaner and Mark Chubb of the Philadelphia office of Colliers Lanard & Axilbund.
VERNON, CALIF. — Newport Beach, Calif.-based Master Development Corp. (MDC) has secured a tenant for it 113,500-square-foot single-user industrial facility, which is located at 4380 Ayers Ave. in Vernon. Clear Lam Packaging Inc. (Clear Lam) signed a 5-year lease for the property. Clean Lam’s thermoforming division is a provider of innovative, environmentally friendly thermoformed plastic packaging products for segments within the produce, bakery, deli and confectionary markets. The company plans to use the facility for its West Coast manufacturing and distribution purposes. Jeffrey Sanita, John McMillian and Tim Wallace of Cushman & Wakefield represented the lessor; Warren Noack, Kimberly Noack, Larry Much and Craig Summers of NAI Capital represented the lessee in the transaction.
COLUMBIA, MD. — Linemark Printing has purchased a 91,000-square-foot warehouse from a Montgomery County, Md.-based private investor for $5.5 million. The property was constructed in 1982 and is located at 501 Prince George’s Blvd. in Columbia. The building includes 10,000 square feet of office space, five dock door ports and 24-foot ceiling heights. Towson, Md.-based NAI KLNB’s Chris Kubler and Alan Coppola represented the seller. Jones Lang LaSalle represented the buyer.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — ProLogis has leased more then 280,000 square feet in three of its Charlotte industrial properties. At the Ridge Creek Distribution Center, located at the intersection of Interstates 77 and 485, Anna’s Linens has leased 112,000 square feet. At the West Pointe Business Center, located at the intersection of Interstates 85 and 485, CEVA Logistics has leased 84,700 square feet of space, and PSS World Medical has leased 65,100 square feet of space. Murray Supply Co. has signed a 21,400-square-foot lease for space at the Charlotte Distribution Center, located at the intersection of Interstates 77 and 85. Further details about the leases were not disclosed.
GREENDALE, WIS. — James Young of Milwaukee-based Colliers Barry has brokered the sale of a 14,000-square-foot industrial facility located at 6255 South Industrial Court in Greendale. Mersenski LLC has purchased the building from John Lin et al for an undisclosed amount. Mersenski is relocating from its machine shop in the Bay View/South Milwaukee area, and will use the facility to accommodate its expansion. To complete the transaction, the buyer executed a short-term leaseback to the seller. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS — Indianapolis-based Duke Realty Corp. has leased a 1.06 million-square-foot industrial building to Farley’s & Sathers. The candy manufacturer will occupy all of Grand Lakes II, a bulk warehouse building located at 3953 Guilford St. in Grand Prairie. The building features 32-foot clear ceiling heights, 247 dock doors, three drive-in doors and 141 trailer storage spaces. The property also fronts Interstate 30 and is in close proximity to DFW Airport. Al and Trip Leon of Leon Brothers represented Farley's & Sather’s in lease negotiations. Curt Hefner provided in-house representation for Duke. Farley's & Sathers had previously operated out of two facilities located in Arlington, Texas, until expanding into the new facility.
