HOUSTON — Weingarten Realty Investors has disposed of two industrial service centers in Houston totaling 383,782 square feet. In the first transaction, Weingarten sold Central Park Northwest, an eight-building flex complex situated on more than 18 acres at 2200-2502 Central Pkwy. and 4930 Dacoma. The complex contains a total of 283,182 square feet and was 81 percent leased at the time of closing. Rusty Tamlyn of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler represented Weingarten. The buyer was CC Realty Advisors. In the second deal, Weingarten sold a 100,600-square-foot service center located on 5.6 acres on TC Jester Boulevard, near Loop 610. Occupancy was approximately 90 percent at the time of closing. David Boyd of Boyd Commercial Real Estate Services represented Weingarten in the sale. Karen Stumbough represented the buyer, Jester Plaza, Ltd. The acquisition price in both transactions was not disclosed.

FREMONT, CALIF. — Overton Moore Properties (OMP) has secured a 12-year lease with Solyndra Inc. for 506,490 square feet at Page Technology Park in Fremont. Terms were not disclosed, but the total value of the lease is believed to exceed $45 million. OMP was represented by Rob Shannon, Joe Kelley and Ben Knight of CB Richard Ellis and Greig Lagomarsino of Colliers International; Solyndra was represented by GVA Kidder Mathews’ John Olenchalk. Built in 1982, the property was acquired by OMP from Hewlett-Packard in December 2008.
HAYWARD, CALIF. — San Francisco-based Jaeger McHugh & Co. LLC has acquired Barrington Business Center, an approximately 203,515-square-foot multi-tenant industrial complex located in the Interstate 880 corridor in Hayward. Financial terms were not disclosed. Colliers International’s Greig Lagomarsino represented both parties in the three-building transaction, with colleague Joe Yamin assisting on the buyer’s side.
SANTA CLARA, CALIF. — Applied Materials Inc. has signed a 150,480-square-foot warehouse lease at a RREEF America REIT II property, located at 1285 Walsh Ave. in Santa Clara. Colliers International’s Dave Sandlin and Steve Prehm represented the landlord and tenant, respectively.
HOUSTON — The Houston office of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF) has brokered the acquisition of a nine-property self-storage portfolio in Texas. The portfolio contains five properties located in Houston, two in Dallas, and one each in Austin and San Antonio. All of the properties were built between 1994 and 1998. The portfolio totals more than 5,300 units and 551,609 square feet. Aaron Swerdlin and Doug McCarron of HFF represented the undisclosed seller. The buyer was Chicago-based Harrison Street Real Estate Capital. The purchase price was not disclosed but the portfolio listed for $71 million.
GARLAND, TEXAS — Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services / CORFAC International has brokered the sale of a 15,000-square-foot flex building located at 11531 Chairman Dr. in Garland. Chris Stout of Bradford represented the buyer, Pinkerton Sales. Jerry Smith of Capital Property Advisors represented the seller, Steedly Sotsky. The acquisition price was not released.
BRISBANE, CALIF. — Williams-Sonoma Stores Inc. has renewed its two-building, 194,334-square-foot warehouse lease with property owner California State Teacher’s Retirement System in Brisbane. NAI BT Commercial’s Randy Keller and Marshall Hydorn represented the landlord in the transaction.
AUBURN, WASH. — GVA Kidder Mathews has brokered Ceva Freight LLC’s 107,200-square-foot industrial lease at 2402 R St. NW in Auburn. GVAKM’s Doug Klein and Matt Wood represented the lessee, and Diane Deaton of Deaton & Associates Inc. represented the lessor, L-W Auburn Co.
GURNEE, ILL. — Waukegan, Ill.-based Acacia Spice Co. has purchased a 25,069-square-foot manufacturing facility, which is located at 3940 Porett Dr. in Gurnee. Kalva Corp. sold the property for an undisclosed price. The spice company plans to relocate from its current 12,000-square-foot facility in Waukegan. Steve Sullivan of NAI Hiffman represented the buyer; Patrick Shannon of Darwin Realty represented the seller in the transaction.
CHICAGO — Meridian Design Build has completed a 31,093-square-foot renovation at 1419 W. Carroll Ave. in Chicago. The industrial property will house the Wicker Park Carrier Annex for the United States Post Office (USPS). The USPS recently leased the property from building owner CF III Carroll Building. The renovation included selective interior demolition and construction of new interior improvements, including a complete build out of partition walls and interior finishes and new HVAC throughout the entire space. Additional improvements included upgrades to the building electrical service, new locker rooms and construction of a fully enclosed interior loading dock area.
