KANSAS CITY, KAN. — Wainwright Industries has signed a short-term lease for a warehouse facility located at 5300 Kansas Ave. in Kansas City. Wainwright will occupy 100,000 square feet of a Class A warehouse building, which recently underwent renovations. Jerry Fogel of Kessinger Hunter represented the tenant; Mark Long and John Green of Zimmer represented the landlord, BH Properties, in the transaction. The value of the lease was not disclosed.

WACO, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of Patriot Homes, a 295,028-square-foot industrial property located at 1001 West Loop 340 in Waco. Jacob Steele and Andy Glinski of Marcus & Millichap's Denver office, along with John Abuja of the firm's Chicago office, represented the seller, a developer. The trio also represented the buyer, a limited liability company. Assistance was provided by Tim Speck of Marcus & Millichap's Dallas office. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
FREMONT, CALIF. — Silicon Valley investors Asilomar Partners have purchased a three-building, 195,000-square-foot research and development campus from UBS Realty, an institutional commercial real estate owner, for an undisclosed amount. Located at 49000 Milmont Drive in Fremont, the property had been marketed for more than 4 years, most recently as a residential redevelopment site. However, in the short term, Asilomar plans to keep it as an office/R&D project and will divide the buildings down to roughly 12,000 square feet. HUBBARD, ORE. — Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has brokered the sale of a 14,578-square-foot industrial property in Hubbard. MIAMI — Flagler Real Estate Services, the brokerage arm of Flagler, has closed the sale of 26,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space at 15855 NW 13th Ave. in Miami on behalf of Elan International. Elan International plans to occupy the space in October, following the completion of several upgrades, and the location will also serve as Elan's new corporate headquarters. Stuart Gordon and Chris Sutton of Flagler Real Estate represented the buyer, Senaya Holdings, an affiliate of Elan International. Viktoria Telek of Comreal represented the seller, Norman Shapiro, former owner of Sunshine Kitchens, which originally occupied the space.
PERRYSBURG, OHIO — Signature Associates has brokered the sale of 24,725 square feet of industrial space at 3273 Genoa Rd. in Perrysburg. Marygrove Awnings acquired the property for an undisclosed price from Wilcox Awning & Sign/Toledo Tarp. Ken Marciniak and Craig Herschel of Signature Associates represented the seller in the deal.
BENSENVILLE, ILL. — Bestway Transport has signed a lease for 80,360 square feet of warehouse space at 1260 Ellis St. within O’Hare Logistics Center in Bensenville. The value of the transaction was not disclosed. Chris Nelson and John Sharpe of Lee & Associates of Illinois represented the owner, RREEF; Nelson also represented the tenant in the transaction.

HOUSTON — NAI Houston has arranged the lease of a 29,032-square-foot industrial building located at 117 N. Palmer St. in Houston. Travis Land and Michael Keegan of NAI Houston represented the tenant, Massey Industries, in lease negotiations. Barrett Gibson of Gibson & Granello Realty Partners represented the landlord, 117 Palmer, Ltd. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
JOLIET, ILL. — Long Beach, Calif.-based California Cartage Co. has signed a lease for 374,460 square feet of industrial space at 251 Laraway Rd. within Laraway Crossings Business Park in Joliet. The transportation and logistics firm is relocating and expanding from its current location in Elwood, Ill. The building features 30-foot clear ceiling heights, 40 exterior truck docks, parking for 155 cars and 81 trailers, an ESFR sprinkler system, 98,000 square feet of air-conditioned space and T5 lighting.
