ANN ARBOR AND NOVI, MICH. — Wixom, Mich.-based Schonsheck Inc. has been selected to build two Michigan industrial facilities. Schonsheck has signed a contract with IMRA America Inc. to build a new 23,000-square-foot research and development facility in Ann Arbor. The project is slated for completion in February 2009. In Novi, Schonsheck is preparing to break ground on a 42,900-square-foot addition for Corrigan World Wide Moving Systems. Schonsheck constructed Corrigan’s original 106,000-square-foot facility in 1999. The addition is scheduled for completion in January 2009.

HOUSTON — Trammell Crow Co. has completed construction of International Air CargoCentre II, a 61,484-square-foot cargo handling facility located within IAH CargoCenter at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The facility features 6-inch thick concrete slab floors, 100-foot clear span, 24-foot clear ceiling heights and 52-foot by 50-foot truck dock bay spacing. The facility also boasts direct airplane ramp access, and is located adjacent to the airport’s new Federal Inspection Services center. Additionally, 2,850 square feet of first-floor office space and 2,875 square feet of mezzanine space has been built out.
IRVING, TEXAS — Sperry Van Ness (SVN) has brokered the sale of Highview Business Center, a 40,608-square-foot industrial flex building located at 1925-1939 Westridge Circle in Irving. Situated on 2.93 acres, the facility is occupied by a tenant roster that includes Abbott Laboratories, Data Return, ACS and U.S. Remodelers. Steve Fithian of the Fort Worth, Texas, office of SVN / Visions Commercial represented the buyer, Arlington, Texas-based S&D Family Partners, as well as the seller, Southlake, Texas-based Mansfield Debbie Lane and Keller Bear Creek 377. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
SYLMAR, CALIF. — Newport Beach, Calif.-based Voit Development Co. has completed the disposition of an industrial building at North Valley Commerce Center in Sylmar. Tutor-Saliba Builders purchased the 33,717-square-foot property for an undisclosed price. David Harding, Greg Geraci, Matt Dierckman and Billy Walk of CB Richard Ellis represented Voit Development Co. in the transaction; the buyer had in-house representation.
RENO, NEV. — Los Angeles-based A-American Storage Management has purchased Green Acres Self Storage, an 86,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Reno. Located at 95 Green Acres Dr., the property was 85 percent occupied at the time of acquisition. Total consideration was $6.3 million. The seller was not disclosed. Greg Wells of Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial, along with John Pinjuv of Grubb & Ellis|NCG in Reno, represented the buyer in the transaction.
TAMPA — Cushman & Wakefield’s Tampa office has brokered Masonite Corp.’s sale of a 77,821-square-foot warehouse, located at 5110 W. Clifton St. in Tampa, to Roth Investment Partnership for $3.89 million. Cushman & Wakefield’s Rian Smith, Mike Davis, Jim Paladino and John Fish worked on the sale.
WYOMING, MICH. — Grubb & Ellis|Paramount Commerce has completed two industrial sales in Wyoming. Randy Bronkema of Grubb & Ellis|Paramount Commerce represented both parties in the sale of a 34,000-square-foot industrial facility located at 2544 Thornwood St. SW. Mercantile Bank of Michigan sold the property to 2544 Thornwood LLC for an undisclosed amount. Additionally, Bronkema represented both parties in the sale of a 5,400-square-foot building located at 3042 Stafford Ave. SW. David Herr has acquired the property from Select Bank for an undisclosed amount.
ROSEVILLE, MICH. — L. Mason Capitani has brokered the sale of a 14,065-square-foot facility located at 16500 Common Rd. in Roseville. Divisions of American Machine Products, as well as Amex & Motorcycle Concepts Inc., will occupy space in the building. Joe DePonio and Jason Capitani of L. Mason Capitani represented both parties in the transaction. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
BROOKLYN PARK, MINN. — Minneapolis-based NothMarq Capital has arranged $7.5 million in first-mortgage financing for the 610 Business Park located in Brooklyn Park. Financing for the 78,190-square-foot industrial property was based on a 10-year term, with a 30-year amortization schedule. Patrick Minea of NorthMarq’s Minneapolis office arranged the loan for the borrower, through NorthMarq’s relationship with a pension fund advised by Grosvenor Investment Management US.
SAN LEANDRO, CALIF. — Broadreach Capital Partners has completed a multi-million dollar renovation of the former Kellogg’s cereal production facility in San Leandro. The company has repositioned the property as Williams Street Industrial Park, a 484,727-square-foot industrial park. Broadreach acquired the property in April 2007 for $21.5 million and undertook a 1-year redevelopment plan that included new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, seismic and structural upgrades, improved loading facilities, enhanced landscaping, building façades and interiors. Additionally, the company also razed 24,160 square feet of existing structures to develop a new central main entrance and truck court. Located at 2010 and 2020 Williams Street, the property features a 186,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse building with 19-pneumatic-fed silos; a 278,727-square-foot warehouse building with 20,000 square feet of office space, and a separate 3.6-acre industrial-zoned land parcel, which is connected to the rest of the property by a pedestrian bridge. The property is also served by two active and independent Union Pacific rail spurs. Current tenants include Meto Poly Company and Zim Diversified.
