AUGUSTA, GA. — GF Casting Solutions AG, a manufacturer of lightweight metal components for the transportation and energy industries, has selected Augusta as the site for a new plant. The company, a division of Swiss company Georg Fischer AG, will invest more than $184 million into the new facility. GF Casting’s LEED-certified facility will be situated within Augusta Corporate Park, a Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development site, and will produce cast-aluminum parts for the automotive industry. Operations are expected to begin in 2027 and create 350 new jobs for Richmond County. Civic and utility partners on the project include Georgia Power, the Georgia Department of Economic Development Global Commerce, Augusta Economic Development Authority, State of Georgia Europe Office and Georgia Quick Start.

POMPANO BEACH, FLA. — Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the $20.7 million sale of a 93,873-square-foot industrial facility in Pompano Beach, a city in South Florida’s Broward County. The property is fully leased to The Shade Store, a retailer with 145 showrooms across the country. The tenant utilizes the space for manufacturing window treatments, distribution and housing its logistics department. Link Logistics purchased the industrial facility from Elion Partners. Dominic Montazemi, Mike Davis, Greg Miller, Rick Brugge and Rick Colon of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller in the transaction. Matthew McAllister, Christopher Thomson, Christopher Metzger and Rick Etner of Cushman & Wakefield’s South Florida Industrial Team also supported the sale process and will represent the buyer in leasing efforts for the facility. The property is located within Gateway Industrial Park at 3141 S.W. 10th St., about 10 miles north of Fort Lauderdale via I-95. The facility, which was originally constructed as a build-to-suit for Bennett Auto Supply in 2001, features 24-foot clear heights, eight dock-high loading positions, two drive-in bays with ramps and an ESFR sprinkler system. The seller and The Shade Store made significant capital improvements to the facility prior to sale.

WILMINGTON, N.C. — APG Capital has sold a 93,508-square-foot industrial building located at 3881 U.S. Highway 421 N in Wilmington. Fayetteville, N.C.-based Robeson Street Properties LLC purchased the asset for $11.9 million. Ferguson Enterprises, a wholesaler of plumbing and HVAC products, has fully occupied the facility since 2009 and recently signed a lease extension through 2033. The sale also included a five-acre lot 3901 U.S. Highway 421 N, which has the potential for development of a 30,000-square-foot building. Both parcels combined for over 14 acres, including a 2.3-acre lay yard. An affiliate of APG Capital originally acquired the property in 2013 for $5.6 million and has conducted over $2.7 million worth of building renovations during its ownership. Don Hyneman of APG Capital oversaw a 25,000-square-foot expansion of the building in 2023. David Divine and Daniel Walser represented the seller on an internal basis in the transaction, and Coastal Legacy Real Estate represented the buyer.

PHOENIX — Stos Partners has sold a 94,186-square-foot industrial building located at 1002 S. 54th Ave. in Phoenix to ViaWest Group for an undisclosed price. Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. fully occupies the building, which was originally built on 4.2 acres in the early 1990s and most recently renovated in 2023. The property features 7,000 square feet of office space, 24-foot clear heights, 17 dock-high doors, two grade-level doors, a fenced and secured yard, LED lighting and ample parking. Phil Haenel, Will Strong, Foster Bundy and Katie Repine of Cushman & Wakefield, along with Anna Josephson of KBC Advisors, represented the seller in the transaction. Mike Haenel and Andy Markham of Cushman & Wakefield also advised on the deal.

OAK BROOK, ILL. — Oak Brook, Ill.-based Devon Self Storage, a member of The Inland Real Estate Group of Cos. Inc., has been awarded the property management contract for six self-storage properties in Indiana, Colorado, Michigan, Nevada and Louisiana totaling roughly 361,000 square feet. The assets include a 603-unit property in Fort Wayne, Ind.; a 487-unit property in Northglenn, Colo.; a 459-unit facility in Waterford, Mich.; a 387-unit facility in Las Vegas; and a 595-unit property in Baton Rouge, La. To date, Devon manages 119 properties for 12 owners across the U.S. The firm expects to add approximately 100 additional self-storage facilities by year’s end.

CONWAY, ARK. — Ti Cold plans to develop a build-to-suit cold storage facility in Conway for Central Cold Solutions. The 125,000-square-foot property will feature 50-foot clear heights, structural steel pallet racks and the ability to regulate temperatures ranging from 40 to minus-20 degrees Fahrenheit. Central Cold Solutions aims to support food wholesalers, retailer and food manufacturing customers in Central Arkansas through this facility. The construction timeline for the project was not disclosed. Brad Lacy of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce assisted in the site selection.

Alliance-Westport-14-Fort-Worth

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Hillwood will develop Alliance Westport 14, a 766,994-square-foot industrial project that will be located within the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas master-planned community in North Fort Worth. Alliance Westport 14 will feature 40-foot clear heights, 185-foot truck court depths and parking for 306 cars and 196 trailers (expandable to 500 or 312, respectively). GSR Andrade is the project architect, and Hillwood Construction Services is the general contractor. Frost Bank provided construction financing. The groundbreaking is set for June, and completion is slated for the second quarter of 2025.

HOUSTON — The U.S. subsidiary of Australian firm Anton Paar USA, which provides laboratory instruments and measuring systems, will open a 30,000-square-foot regional headquarters in Houston. The site is located within East River, Midway’s 150-acre mixed-use development in the Historic Fifth Ward. The facility will consist of 12,500 square feet of office space, 12,599 square feet of lab and training space and 5,000 square feet of logistics space. Chadd Bolding of Colliers represented Anton Paar USA in its site selection and purchase of the land. David Hightower represented Midway on an internal basis.

AUBURN HILLS, MICH. — Dominion Real Estate Advisors has brokered the sale of a 121,263-square-foot industrial building located at 1700 Atlantic Blvd. in Auburn Hills for an undisclosed price. The property sits on roughly eight acres along I-75. The tenant is Grupo Antolin, a supplier of automotive interiors. Eric Banks, Andrew Boncore and Alex Tokarz of Dominion represented the seller, CORE BKG 1700 Atlantic LLC, a Burton-Katzman entity. Chris Dowell of Newmark represented the buyer, 1700 Atlantic Blvd. LLC. The property will become the new headquarters of Superior Electric Great Lakes Co., an electrical contracting company.

HASLET, TEXAS — Mainfreight, a logistics company based in New Zealand, has signed a 62,000-square-foot industrial lease in Haslet, a northern suburb of Fort Worth. The site at 112 Harmon Road spans 21.3 acres. The build-to-suit facility will feature 24-foot clear heights, 86 dock doors, 20,000 square feet of office space and ample trailer parking. An affiliate of Chicago-based Timber Hill Group and Champion Realty Advisors own the site and expect to complete construction of the facility by the end of the year. CBRE represented Mainfreight in the lease negotiations, and Lee & Associates represented ownership.
