WASHINGTON, D.C. — Finmarc Management Inc., a Bethesda, Md.-based commercial real estate services firm, has purchased a nine-building, 342,000-square-foot portfolio from First Potomac Realty Trust for $33 million. The properties consist of a mix of flex, office, retail and warehouse space and are located in Gaithersburg, Md., a suburb of Washington, D.C. The facilities, which are combined 82 percent leased, include Girard Place, Girard Business Center and Gateway Center. The acquisition was part of a 1031 tax-free exchange. Eric Berkman, Steve Gichner and Gideon Gil of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller in the transaction.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Cassidy Turley has arranged $32.1 million in permanent financing for a fully leased office building, located at 801 N. Capitol St. N.E. in Washington, D.C. John Campanella and Paul Spellman of Cassidy Turley arranged the loan through a bank on behalf of the borrower, ASB Real Estate Investments. The 87,833-square-foot office building is fully leased to the District of Columbia under a long-term lease.
ATLANTA — The Fulton County Office of the Public Defender has leased 48,000 square feet of office space at 100 Peachtree, a 32-story office building located in downtown Atlanta. About 110 attorneys, administrators and legal staff will occupy three floors. Brad Jancik and Eric Ross of CBRE represented the landlord, Coral Gables, Fla.-based America’s Capital Partners, in the lease deal.
CHICAGO — J.C. Anderson has completed multi-floor renovations and build-outs for Daymark Realty Advisors at 525 W. Van Buren St. in Chicago. The 16-story, 524,800-square-foot property, which is known as Congress Center, was constructed in 2001. J.C. Anderson was hired to complete a build-out on the 10th and 14thfloors, as well as corridor renovations on the 7th, 10th and 14th floors. Steve Boulukos of J.C. Anderson was the project executive. Baumann Studios provided architectural services for the project.
SAN ANTONIO — Ryan Cos. US Inc. has broken ground on a 58,000-square-foot office building in San Antonio. Avnet Technology Solutions, an IT division of Avnet Inc., will occupy the two-story, Class A structure. Located on five acres within RidgeWood Business Park, the property will be situated in proximity to the intersection of Loop 1604 and Highway 281. Ryan Cos. is partnering with RVK Architects, Big Red Dog Civil Engineering, Colliers International, Pruitt Realty and Travis Commercial Real Estate Services Ltd. on the project, which is slated for completion in August.
PALO ALTO, CALIF. – Bill.com, a business bill pay company, has leased 22,683 square feet at Palo Alto Technology Center. The 259,157-square-foot center is located at 1800-1850 Embarcadero Road in Silicon Valley. Bill.com was represented by Chase Lyman, Mike Saign and Ben Stern of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank. The landlord, KBS Realty Advisors, was represented by Lyman, Randy Gabrielson and John McKenna of the same firm.
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – Financial planning company LearnVest has leased 5,160 square feet at SkySong 2 in Scottsdale. The company is expanding and relocating from its original space in Tempe. It has signed a three-year lease at the property, which is also home to jobing.com, recruiting.com, Yodlee, ASU and Webfilings. LearnVest was represented by Matt Coxhead and Ryan Bartos of Cushman & Wakefield. The landlord, Holualoa Capital Management, was represented by Andrew Cheney of Lee & Associates Arizona.
CHICAGO — MT Food Services has selected The Missner Group to complete an office/warehouse renovation and build-out for its 60,000-square-foot facility located at 400 N. Noble St. in Chicago. The industrial facility features 40,000 square feet of warehouse space with 21-foot clear heights, six exterior docks and two drive-in doors, as well as 20,000 square feet of office space. Glen Missner is the principal overseeing the project and Curt Burns of The Missner Group is serving as project manager. Cornerstone Architects is providing architectural services for the project, which is scheduled for completion in April.
EAST HANOVER, N.J. — Griffin Capital Corp. has selected Jones Lang LaSalle to provide leasing and property management for Eagle Rock Executive Office IV, located 120 Eagle Rock Avenue in East Hanover. The firm will provide a full range of property management and transaction services for the Class A, 177,820-square-foot commercial office building. Dennis McConnell and Dan Spero make up the leasing team, and Beth Pereira and Mary Oppel comprise the property management team. Griffin Capital acquired the property from Columbia Property Trust in late 2013 as part of an 18-building nationwide portfolio acquisition.
YONKERS, N.Y. — Micromold Products has expanded and relocated to 7 Odell Plaza in Yonkers. The new 12,991-square-foot space is located within South Westchester Executive Park, which is owned by Mack-Cali Realty Corp. Howard Greenberg of White Plains, N.Y.-based Howard Properties represented the tenant in the transaction, while Mack-Cali was represented in-house by Ivan Abry. Terms and conditions of the lease were not disclosed.
