ARLINGTON, VA. — Lowe Enterprises has commenced construction on the $70 million renovation of the 308,000-square-foot 1400 Crystal Drive, a 13-story office building located in the Arlington submarket of Crystal City. The redevelopment will include the addition of a floor-to-ceiling glass facade and expansion of existing floor plates. The building is designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification. Completion is slated for April 2013.

PITTSBURGH — Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania has signed a five-year lease renewal to remain the largest tenant at 525 Penn Place in Pittsburgh. The company occupies 147,500 square feet in the building. Robert Geiger of Cushman & Wakefield / Grant Street Associates Inc. represented the landlord, BNY Mellon in the transaction. CBRE Boston represented the tenant. Citizens Bank is a state-chartered bank with dual headquarters in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
NEW YORK CITY — SailThru, an email marketing firm, has signed a five-year lease at 10 Hudson Square in New York City. The company is relocating from its current office at 770 Broadway and will occupy 17,775 square feet. Jaime Addeo and Jack Petrie of CresaPartners represented the tenant in the transaction. Trinity Real Estate, the property owner, was represented in-house by Charles Laginestra and Marc Packman.
DALLAS — CASE Commercial Real Estate Partners has brokered four separate lease transactions totaling more than 139,000 square feet at the 838,000-square-foot The Centre Office Park, an 11-building master-planned office complex located at the southwest quadrant of Midway and Alpha roads in Dallas. The company will occupy the fifth floor of Assurity Life Insurance Co.'s new 175,000-square-foot headquarters. The 176,062-square-foot office building is located in the Mack-Cali Business Campus at 8 Sylvan Wy. The building serves as the global headquarters for The Medicines Co., a pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of critical care patients.
