SCHAUMBURG, ILL. — Leopardo has completed a build-out of Thermos' new corporate headquarters in Schaumburg. Thermos, a beverage container manufacturer, is relocating from Rolling Meadows to its new, 25,000-square-foot office at 475 N. Martingale Rd. The building includes conference rooms, executive offices, a research and development lab and a photography studio. Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Leopardo served as general contractor, with Torchia Associates as the architect. Ken Soltis Associates served as project manager.

NEW YORK CITY — NorthEnd Equities, a New York City-based investment company, has acquired a leasehold on a 65,000-square-foot building at 16 W. 36th St., between Fifth and Sixth avenues. NorthEnd made the leasehold deal for $8.2 million. About 30 years remain on the leasehold. Eric Meyer of Colliers International represented the seller, Beach Plaza Associates, in the deal. David Berger of Rosewood Realty Group represented the buyer.
CAMBRIDGE, MASS. — Vecna Technologies has purchased 54 Cambridgepark Dr. in Cambridge for $6.2 million. The 26,603-square-foot building was occupied by Pfizer Inc. for the past 10 years. Vecna, a technology company, owns a location nearby and will use the facility to expand its operations. Occupancy is slated for this spring. Jack Kerrigan and Steve Cook of Avison Young represented the seller, Samuels Property Group, in the transaction.
THE WOODLANDS — The Howard Hughes Corp. has partnered with Huntsman Corp. to complete a feasibility study for expanding the Huntsman facility, located in the Research Forest area of The Woodlands. The plans show an increase in the research and development capacity as well as a new five-story, 236,000-square-foot office building with an attached 900-space parking garage. The companies are exploring the opportunity to construct three new Class A office buildings and an adjacent parking garage.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. – A 7,098-square-foot office building in Huntington Beach has sold to an unnamed buyer for $2,485,000. It is located at 9131 Adams Ave. The buyer was represented by Allen Basso of Lee & Associates. The seller was represented by David Romero of Lee & Associates and Bryan Lysne of Lee ISG in this transaction.
NEWARK, CALIF. – Four new stores are opening at the Newpark Mall in Newark. Three Kings barbershop has leased 1,550 square feet; The Humidor cigar shop has leased 1,297; Focus women’s shoe store has leased 2,349 square feet; and Sprouts children’s shoe store has leased 1,880 square feet.
SPRING — The Woodlands-based The J. Beard Real Estate Company has brokered the sale of Phase II and III of the 40,372-square-foot Spring Hill Executive Office Suites, located at 500 and 504 Spring Hill Dr. in Spring. The property is fully leased. Josh Feinberg of J. Beard represented the buyers, The Woodlands-based Mercan and a private family partnership, in the transaction. Jeff Beard of J. DALLAS — Fullerton, Calif.-based Eleganza Tiles has leased 60,092 square feet of showroom and office space at Tile Mile Park, located in the Dallas Corporate Center Building 1 at 2230 LBJ Freeway in Dallas. The company relocated from 11639 Emerald St. in Dallas, less than a half mile away from its new headquarters. The new lease expands the company's footprint by 20,000 square feet. Kevin Santaularia and Joe Santaularia of Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services represented the tenant in the transaction. The landlord, ProLogis, was self-represented by Mitch Pruitt.
ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Gateway One Lending & Finance, LLC has signed an eight-year lease expansion for 41,148 square feet of office space in Anaheim. The office is located at 175 N. Riverview Drive. The property’s landlord is a joint venture of Greenlaw Partners and Walton Street Capital. The transaction was brokered by Chris Migliori of DAUM’s Orange County, Calif., office.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Walker & Dunlop has arranged $5 million in refinancing for the 11,813-square-foot 300 Independence Avenue, a Class A office building located in Washington, D.C. Sanor Biderman of Walker & Dunlop's Bethesda, Md., office arranged the 20-year loan with a 25-year amortization schedule on behalf of the borrower, 300 Independence Avenue LLC.
