BURLINGTON, MASS. — Avid Technologies has opened its 203,000-square-foot world headquarters in the Boston suburb of Burlington. The audio and video production provider is leasing 203,000 square feet within Network Drive at Northwest Park for a 10-year term. Brian Hines and Mike Dalton of FHO Partners represented Avid in lease negotiations. Tamie Thompson, Dan Cordeau and Dan Kollar of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord, Nordblom Co. Northwest Park is a seven-building, 258-acre office campus located near the interchange of Route 3 and Interstate 95. It contains a total of 950,000 square feet of space.

IRVINE, CALIF. — An affiliate of Menlo Equities LLC has purchased the 143,165-square-foot Cartwright Corporate Center, a five-story, Class A office building located at 17770 Cartwright Rd. in Irvine, for $20 million. Cushman & Wakefield’s Jeff Cole, Ed Hernandez and Lars Platt and Janine Padia of JP Realty Services represented the buyer and the seller, Sunset Park Business Trust, in the transaction. Situated in the John Wayne Airport submarket, the building is nearly 70 percent leased.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA. — IMS Health Inc. has signed a lease for approximately 150,000 square feet of space in Collegeville. The tenant will occupy Highview I and Highview II, two office buildings within Providence Corporate Center. The buildings were formerly occupied by Pfizer, which exercised its option to vacate Highview II this year. It then negotiated an end to its lease of Highview I to accommodate IMS Health's lease. Ron Cariola of Jones Lang LaSalle represented IMS Health in lease negotiations. Whitney Hunter and Michael Morrone, also of Jones Lang LaSalle, represented the landlord.

HOUSTON — Gloria Parrino of Betz Commercial Brokerage has represented an undisclosed landlord in two leases in the Legacy Park Office Center, which is now fully occupied. The 48,139-square-foot property is located at 10940 W. Sam Houston Parkway in Houston. Strayer University, represented by Cushman & Wakefield's Louis Christopher and Kevin Saxe, leased the entire 16,782-square-foot second floor. Elliott Group, represented by RE/MAX Grand's Julie Sawyer, leased 8,991 square feet.

SAN DIEGO — Voit Real Estate Services has directed the $5.4 million sale of a 53,000-square-foot office property located at 6701-6861 Convoy Court in San Diego. Voit’s Harry Stone represented the seller, Kearny II LLC, in the transaction, and Inmook Hwang of American National Realty represented the buyer, Korean United Methodist Church of San Diego.

ORLANDO, FLA. — Eola Realty Partners has purchased an 8,000-square-foot office building from BA Eola LLC for $1.42 million. The property will be the new home of Southern Trail Counsel Law Firm and is located in the historic Thornton Park area of Orlando. Cynthia Shelton, Jamie Barati and Mike Milano of Colliers International represented the buyer. Grubb & Ellis' Jay Dixon represented the seller.

DETROIT — Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) is leasing 435,245 square feet of space in Towers 500 and 600 of GM Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit. The company will move approximately 3,000 employees from its current Southfield, Mich., campus to the new space. The move will reduce BCBSM’s real estate footprint by more than 400,000 square feet, and increase the company’s downtown Detroit workforce to approximately 6,000. BCBSM will retain its current Detroit offices located at 500 and 600 E. Lafayette Blvd. and 441 E. Jefferson Ave. — creating a campus that extends from the Detroit riverfront to Lafayette Boulevard. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.

OMAHA, NEB. — Chicago-based Omaha Headquarters Venture DST has acquired Farnam Tech Center, an office property located at 10826 and 10842 Farnam Dr. in Omaha. Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. sold the property for $18 million. The two-building center offers 118,612 square feet of office space and a 383-stall parking garage. Built in 1986, the fully occupied buildings are anchored by TD Ameritrade, which leases 70 percent of the asset. Mark Seger of CB Richard Ellis|Mega represented the buyer; Richard Meginnis and Tom Graf of NAI FMA Realty represented the seller in the transaction.

NEW YORK CITY — Healthfirst has signed a lease for 172,577 square feet at 100 Church Street, a 21-story, 1.05 million-square-foot office tower located in downtown Manhattan. The lease carries a 20-year term and covers four floors of the building. Healthfirst will use the space as its headquarters. The Jones Lang LaSalle team of Derek Trulson, Bill Peters and Daoud Awad represented the tenant in lease negotiations. The Newmark Knight Frank team of Brian Waterman, James Kuhn, John Fanuzzi, Hal Stein and Lance Korman represented the landlord, SL Green, which acquired the building out of foreclosure in January.
