FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Development and management firm Breslin Realty will undertake a 62,450-square-foot expansion project at a Walmart Supercenter store in the Long Island city of Farmingdale. The project will increase the total size of the store located at Republic Plaza to 219,450 square feet. The center also houses tenants such as Chili’s Grill & Bar, Panera Bread, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Halal Guys and Blaze Pizza. A construction timeline was not released.

MT. JULIET, TENN. — JLL has negotiated the $30.9 million sale of 245 Couchville Industrial, a fully leased, 709,652-square-foot industrial property in Mt. Juliet. The property is 67 percent leased to ElectroluxNorth America Inc., a subsidiary of Electrolux AB. The other tenant was not disclosed. The asset is situated on nearly 44 acres at 245 Couchville Industrial Blvd., 30 miles east of downtown Nashville and 22 miles east of Nashville International Airport. Britton Burdette, Pete Pittroff, Matt Wirth, Dennis Mitchell, Jim Rodrigues, Mitchell Townsend and Perry Wolcott of JLL represented the seller, a joint venture between Sansone Group and Fortress Investment Group. Dallas-based Westmount Realty Capital LLC acquired the facility.

LEVITTOWN, N.Y. AND MILFORD, CONN. — Wren Kitchens, a United Kingdom-based designer and manufacturer of kitchens, has signed leases in the Long Island city of Levittown and in the Connecticut city of Milford to open retail showrooms. The spaces will span 19,500 and 21,350 square feet, respectively. Adam Weinblatt and Marc Frankel of Newmark Knight Frank represented Wren Kitchens in the lease negotiations. Brian Schuster of Ripco Real Estate represented the landlords. Both showrooms are scheduled to open by late 2020 or early 2021.

WATERBURY, CONN. — Locally based brokerage firm R. Calabrese Agency LLC has arranged the sale of a 24,000-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing building in Waterbury, located north of New Haven. New York-based investment firm Turnpike Drive LLC purchased the asset for $1.2 million. The seller was 715 Straits Turnpike LLC. Bob Bowden of R. Calabrese represented both parties in the transaction.

ALLENTOWN, PA. — NAI Summit has brokered the sale of a 4,113-square-foot retail building located at 2071 SW 31st St. in Allentown. Sarah Finney-Miller of NAI Summit represented the seller, LEAD 112 LLC, in the transaction. The buyer, 3030 Lehigh Street, plans to renovate the property and convert it into an automotive service center.

GREENVILLE, EASLEY AND SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — Stan Johnson Co. has arranged the $30.5 million sale-leaseback of a four-property medical office portfolio in Upstate South Carolina. The properties are situated at 5 Stevens St. and 601 Halton Road in Greenville, 220 S. Pendleton St. in Easley and 1 Colony Centre Way in Simpsonville. Teresa Lovely and Jeff Matulis of Stan Johnson Co. represented the seller and tenant, Jervey Eye Group, which executed long-term leases at the time of sale. Indiana-based Cornerstone Cos. Inc. acquired the portfolio, which was built between 2000 and 2018.

ATLANTA — Firmspace will open a new 27,000-square-foot “proworking” space in Atlanta’s Buckhead district. Different from traditional coworking space, Firmspace Atlanta will offer members more privacy in the form of private offices, floor-to-ceiling walls and sound-masking technology. Firmspace is targeting individuals who aren’t satisfied working from home or with traditional coworking spaces. Firmspace Atlanta is equipped to address COVID-19 concerns, with common areas being electrostatically disinfected and members being required to wear masks. The space is located within the Sovereign Building at 3344 Peachtree Road NE, 10 miles north of downtown Atlanta. The office’s soft opening to members will be Tuesday, Sept. 8.

TAMPA, FLA. — Americold Realty Trust has acquired a 3.2 million-cubic-foot cold storage facility in Tampa for $25 million in an all-cash deal. The Atlanta-based refrigerated real estate owner and operator expects to implement $500,000 in capital expenditures. The facility features 12,400 pallet positions, as well as blast-freezing capabilities. The property will offer support to two Americold facilities in nearby Plant City and Bartow, Fla. The seller was not disclosed.

HIGHLAND PARK, ILL. — Developer Capitol Seniors Housing has completed the development of Atria Highland Park, an 86-unit assisted living and memory care community in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park. Atria Senior Living operates the three-story, 72,000-square-foot property. Designed by Mosely Architects and StudioSix5, the community includes amenities such as a library, theater, art studio, multi-purpose room, fitness center, wellness center, restaurant, bistro and private dining room. There are 22 memory care suites. The community sits on 2.6 acres near the Sunset Valley Golf Course. Core Construction was the general contractor.

DETROIT — The MGM Grand Detroit casino plans to cut about 1,100 jobs as part of a national downsizing plan from MGM Resorts International, according to media reports. Nationwide, MGM is laying off 18,000 of its furloughed workers, citing slow business amid the COVID-19 pandemic. MGM Grand Detroit and the city’s two other casinos, MotorCity Casino Hotel and Greektown Casino-Hotel, reopened at 15 percent capacity on Aug. 5.
