ALLENTOWN, PA. — Markward Group has brokered the sale of an industrial building located at 1400 N. Irving St. in Allentown. Evergreen Cos., a full-service landscaping and horticultural service company, acquired the property for $1.2 million. The buyer plans to use the 11,114-square-foot property as a storage and dispatch facility. Amy Hawley of Markward Group represented the undisclosed seller and buyer in the transaction.
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of an industrial property located at 330 N. Main St. in Port Chester. A limited liability company sold the property to an undisclosed buyer for $1.8 million. The 10,800-square-foot property features 2,000 square feet of retail store front space along North Main Street. John Sala of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller in the deal.
NEW YORK CITY — Mizuho Americas has signed a lease with the Rockefeller Group to occupy 270,000 square feet of office space at 1271 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan. The long-term lease, which follows the June announcement of Mizuho’s lease of 141,000 square feet in the building, brings the company’s total commitment for 1271 Avenue of Americas to 411,000 square feet. The new lease nearly triples the size of the company’s future U.S. headquarters in the building. Mizuho, a subsidiary of Mizuho Financial Group, will begin to take possession of its space in 2019. The company plans to relocate employees from multiple locations to the 2.1 million-square-foot tower. AURORA, OHIO — Peak Construction Corp. has been tasked with building a 409,495-square-foot industrial build-to-suit for an undisclosed distribution company in Aurora, about 30 miles southeast of Cleveland. The property, owned by Scannell Properties, will feature 32-foot clear heights, 30 dock doors, one drive-in door, 20 trailer spaces and parking for 75 cars. Peak has teamed up with Ware Malcomb Architects and Weber Engineering for the project.
CHICAGO — Kiser Group and Affordable Housing Investment Brokerage Inc. (AHIB) have negotiated the sale of 167 affordable housing units in Chicago for $11.2 million. Lyndale Place is a 67-unit property located at 2575 W. Lyndale St. in the Logan Square neighborhood. Renaissance West is a 111-unit building located at 2517 W. Fullerton Ave. in the Bucktown neighborhood. The Habitat Co. purchased the portfolio from Renaissance Cos. Michael D’Agnostino of Kiser Group and Kyle Shoemaker of AHIB brokered the transaction.
JOHNSTON, IOWA — R&R Realty Group has opened Residences at 62W in Johnston, about 10 miles northwest of Des Moines. The 137-unit apartment community features one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. The property, located on 62nd Avenue, features amenities such as a health center, yoga room, game room, pet spa and pool deck. West Des Moines, Iowa-based R&R Realty Group is a full-service real estate company with development, brokerage, construction and property management services.
JACKSON, MICH. — Home2 Suites by Hilton has opened in Jackson, about 35 miles south of Lansing, the capital of Michigan. The extended-stay hotel consists of 83 suites. Ontario Hospitality Inc. developed, owns and manages the property, which features fully equipped kitchens, complimentary Internet, breakfast, a combined laundry and fitness area, and indoor pool. The hotel is located at 2704 Bob McClain Drive off I-94.
HOUSTON — Medistar Corp. will develop a 550,000-square-foot, Class A medical office tower at 6700 Main St. in Houston, adjacent to the Texas Medical Center. The site previously housed a Best Western hotel, which will soon be demolished. The property will feature an oversized parking garage and an undetermined amount of ground-floor retail space, in addition to space for both physicians and healthcare providers. A timetable for completion has not yet been established.
DALLAS — CBRE has brokered the sale of Hidden Grove at 12404 Park Central, a 232,389-square-foot office building located in the Park Central area on Dallas’ north side. The Class A property was 99.8 percent leased at the time of sale. A partnership between Reserve Capital Partners and Trinity Private Equity Group purchased the asset from Red River Asset Management for an undisclosed price. John Alvarado, Gary Carr, Eric Mackey, Evan Stone, Jared Chua and Robert Hill of CBRE represented the seller in the transaction. Nora Hogan of Transwestern represented the buyer.
MCKINNEY, TEXAS — New York-based GFI Capital Resources Group has acquired Venue Craig Ranch, a 277-unit multifamily community located within the Craig Ranch master-planned community in McKinney. Developed by Davis Development, the property features a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units across seven buildings. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, a game room, putting green and pet park. The property was 87 percent occupied at the time of sale.
