LOUISVILLE, KY. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the $5.8 million sale of Sawyer Shops, a 23,408-square-foot shopping center located at 2809 N. Hurstbourne Parkway in Louisville. The property is an unanchored, multi-tenant retail center that is 100 percent leased. Brian Munn and Ethan Armentrout of Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office teamed up with Larry Hausman of the firm’s Louisville office to represent the seller in the transaction. Aaron Johnson of Marcus & Millichap’s Louisville office assisted in closing the transaction. Both the buyer and seller were in 1031 tax-deferred exchanges.

MORENO VALLEY, CALIF. — Fisker Automotive and Technology Group LLC has signed a long-term lease to occupy a 555,670-square-foot industrial building in Moreno Valley. The company plans to manufacture its ultra-luxury, plug-in electric hybrid Karma sports car at the facility. The new space is located at 17100 Perris Blvd. It is situated near Amazon’s and Procter & Gamble’s facilities. This new agreement will make Fisker the first automaker to operate an assembly plant in Southern California since 1992 when General Motors closed its Van Nuys plant, according to Colliers International, which executed the transaction. Ian DeVries and Chris DeVries of Colliers represented Fisker. Kevin McKenna and Ian DeVries of the same firm represented the landlord, First Industrial Realty.

ANAHEIM, CALIF. — R.D. Olson Construction has completed the 221-room Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance hotel near the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. The hotel is located at 1420 South Harbor Blvd. It is within walking distance of the theme park. The newest Marriott property features Spanish architecture with family-friendly amenities like bunk beds and five-fixture bathrooms in each guest room. It also contains a 22,000-square-foot surfing-themed waterpark with slides, water cannons and tipping buckets, in addition to a traditional pool and spa, outside dining space, lounge, gift shop and meeting space.

LAGUNA HILLS, CALIF. — Holliday Fenoglio Fowler (HFF) has secured a $33 million refinancing for The Village at Nellie Gail Ranch, an 87,561-square-foot Smart & Final Extra-anchored shopping center located in Laguna Hills. James Fowler and Greg Brown of HFF represented the borrower, Fred Sands of Vintage Real Estate, to secure the two-year, floating-rate loan with three one-year extensions through Colony Capital. Tenants at the center include Chuck E. Cheese’s, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Banfield Pet Hospital, Rita’s Ice, Pharmaca, Laguna Hills Dental and Edible Arrangements. Loan proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt and fund capital expenditures related to tenant improvement costs and leasing commissions to lease the limited remaining vacant space.

CONCORD, CALIF. — DTZ Mortgage Services has closed an $8.7 million leasehold acquisition loan for the Four Corners Shopping Center in Concord. Located at Monument Boulevard and Oak Grove Road, the property consists of 35,921 square feet of retail space. Kurt Scheidt and Terry Daly of DTZ Mortgage Services arranged the non-recourse, fixed-rate loan for the borrower, Farm Sub LCC.

NAPA, CALIF. — A joint venture between Madison Marquette and Carlin Co. has arranged the recapitalization of Oxbow Publix Market, a 30,000-square-foot shopping center located in Napa. The center is 98 percent occupied by tenants including Hog Island Oyster Co., Gott’s Roadside, Five Dot Ranch, C Casa, The Fatted Calf, Kitchen Door, The Model Bakery, Ritual Coffee Roasters and Oxbow Cheese and Wine.

CHICAGO — Colliers International’s Chicago office has arranged the $11.2 million sale of a 58,000-square-foot office property located at 1900 W. Walnut in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood. Mark IV Realty was the buyer. The one-story structure was originally designed as a multi-tenant building. The building features a fully air-conditioned office, ESFR sprinklers, one interior loading dock and two drive-in doors. 1900 West Walnut is the only 24-foot clear height, modern precast building in the fast growing West Loop and Fulton Market submarkets of Chicago, according to Colliers. The 1900 West Walnut building is located one mile west of Chicago’s central business district and a half-mile from Google’s new headquarters. Since its completion, the property has been 100 percent leased to Matthews International, a digital imaging studio. Michael Senner and Vern Schulz of Colliers International’s Chicago office represented the seller, Martin Capital Group.

ROLLING MEADOWS, ILL. — General contractor J.C. Anderson Inc. will complete a 170,000-square-foot office renovation for Verizon Communications at 1701 E. Golf Road (Continental Towers) in Rolling Meadows. Headquartered in New York City, Verizon employs approximately 178,500 workers and maintains offices nationwide. The firm is relocating its office in Elgin, Ill., to Continental Towers. J.C. Anderson will complete the 170,000-square-foot build-out of new space, which will include the addition of offices on seven floors of the building; a call center with up to 305 positions per floor; as well as training rooms and conference rooms. The target date for completion is April 2016. William Burfeind and John Angelovich are leading the construction team for J.C. Anderson.

CHESTERFIELD, MO. — DTZ has arranged a 117,618-square-foot office lease for St. Louis-based Centene Corp. at Timberlake Corporate Center II, located at 1370 Timberlake Manor Parkway in Chesterfield. Centene provides a portfolio of services to government-sponsored healthcare programs. Built in 1999 and owned by Franklin Street Properties, Timberlake Corporate Center II is one of three buildings on the campus. Timberlake II features custom-designed suites and covered parking. Before the end of the year, the landlord expects the property to feature a full amenity package, including food service, conference/training room and a fully equipped fitness center. DTZ serves as the property manager. Scott Bazoian of DTZ represented Centene in the lease transaction. Jim Mosby, D.J. Fuchs, and Danielle Grubbs represented Wakefield, Mass.-based Franklin Street Properties.

MINNEAPOLIS — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of Second Street Lofts, located at 129 N. 2nd St. in the historic North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, for $9.1 million. The property consists of 39 apartments and three ground-level office suites. Mox Gunderson, Dan Linnell, Josh Talberg and Chris Collins of Marcus & Millichap’s Minneapolis office represented the buyer, a private investor, and the seller, a limited liability company.
