DORAL, FLA. — SeaFreight Agencies Inc., a cargo and shipping solutions company, has signed a 148,750-square-foot industrial lease at the International CorporatePark, located at 9950 NW 17th St. in Doral. The deal makes SeaFreight the sole tenant in the Class A building, which includes 16,000 square feet of office space. Walter Byrd, Ben Eisenberg, Thomas Kresse and Carlos Gaviria of Transwestern represented the tenant in the transaction. Steve Medwin and Nick Wigoda of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord, IndCor Properties.

GREEN HILLS, TENN. — Brasfield & Gorrie has been select as the general contractor for the Burton Hills office project in Green Hills. The three-story, 110,000-square-foot building will sit atop a three-story parking deck. The project will include a separate, 60,000-square-foot parking deck. The facility will serve as the headquarters for Nashville-based AmSurg Corp. Construction of the 120-car parking structure will begin this month, with construction of the office building following in summer 2013. Hastings Architecture Associates is the project architect.
CHICAGO — Illinois’s Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) recently unveil plans to build a $400 million, 1,200-room hotel near Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center. The hotel, which is located near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Cermak Road, would serve as the headquarters for groups holding shows at McCormick Place However, JRM Technology, the site’s owner, said it already has invested thousands of man-hours and millions of dollars to develop a $400 million data center there, according to the Chicago Tribune. James McHugh, a principal at the company, said in a statement, that City Council has already approved plans to start construction on the data center and the company is just waiting on a building permit to be issued. COLUMBUS, OHIO — Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital has closed a $30 million loan to refinance the Hyatt Regency, a 633-room hotel in downtown Columbus. The 20-story hotel opened in 1980 and is located at 350 N. High St. The 10-year loan has a 20-year amortization schedule.
ELK RIVER, MINN. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of a 7,000-square-foot property occupied by Advance Auto Parts for $1.2 million. The net-leased property is located at 18260 Zane St. in Elk River, about 30 miles north of Minneapolis. Adam Prins and Matthew Hazelton of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a personal trust, and the buyer, a partnership, in the deal.
DEERFIELD, ILL. — The John Buck Co. has hired CBRE Inc. to handle leasing for Parkway North Center in Deerfield, a northern suburb of Deerfield. The 1 million-square includes a Marriot Suites hotel, three office buildings, a daycare center and athletic club. Two of the buildings have vacancy rates of more than 50 percent. Parkway North Center is located at 3 Parkway N.
NEW YORK CITY — Vornado Realty Trust has completed a $390 million loan for its retail condominium, located at 666 Fifth Ave. in New York City. The 10-year, interest-only loan carries 3.6 percent. The net proceeds from the financing were approximately $387 million. Vornado acquired the property in December for $707 million
NEW YORK CITY — Tutor Perini Corp. was listed by the New York City Department of Transportation as the low bidder and the winner for the $102.7 million contract to replace the City Island Road Bridge over Eastchester Bay. The project includes the construction and removal of a temporary bridge and approach roadways, demolition of the existing bridge structures, construction of a single steel tower cable-stayed bridge with private utilities and landscape improvements. The new bridge will be the first cable-stayed bridge built in New York. Work is expected to begin this April with substantial completion expected by July 2016.
NEW YORK CITY — Thor Equities has acquired 57-63 Greene Street, a 13,854-square-foot retail condominium for $17.2 million in New York City. The six-story building is located between Broome and Spring streets, neighboring top-tier fashion brands including Chanel, Ralph Lauren and Prada. Including this acquisition, Thor Equities has nearly 300,000 square feet in the SoHo district, New York City’s fashion retail epicenter.
WATERBURY, CONN. — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Mattatuck Plaza, a 146,930-square-foot shopping center in Waterbury, for $12.2 million. The plaza, located at 670 Wolcott St., was 80 percent leased at the time of sale. Joseph French and Thomas Dalzell of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a Boston-based private investment firm, and the buyer, a private investor based in Florida.
