VALPARAISO, IND. — McShane Construction Co. has completed a 51,500-square-foot addition to the College of Arts and Sciences at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso. The two-story addition includes classrooms, offices and a teacher's lounge. The property recently received LEED Silver certification. EHDD Architecture designed the project and KJWW Engineering provided the structural engineering.

GLENDALE, WIS. — Opus Development Corp. has completed a 122,000-square-foot expansion of the Weyco Group headquarters in Glendale. The new building connects Weyco's main facilities to an 80,150-square-foot warehouse adjacent to the property. The expansion brings Weyco's headquarters to more than 1 million square feet, including office, warehouse and distribution service space.

CINCINNATI — Jones Lang LaSalle has been tapped to provide leasing services for Kenwood Towne Place, a 240,000-square-foot office building in Cincinnati. Currently in the redesign phase, the tower is slated for completion in March 2014. A Phillips Edison affiliate purchased the Kenwood property in July. The construction of the project had been interrupted in 2008 due to the project's financial problems. Rusty Myers, David Ottenjohn, Bill Poffenberger and Todd Pease of Jones Lang LaSalle will oversee the leasing assignment.

NEW YORK CITY — A six-building mixed-use portfolio in the South Bronx has sold for $20.7 million. The portfolio totals 303 apartment units and 14 commercial units for a combined 307,400 square feet. Each of the properties was renovated in 1990. The buildings are located at 1658 Selwyn Ave.; 1254 Sherman Ave.; 1231 Fulton Ave.; 615 E. 168th St.; 1340 Merriam Ave.; and 818 E. 149th St. David Simone, Nicholas Burns and Andrew Essick of Massey Knakal represented both parties in the transaction.

WINOOSKI, VT. — Redstone has arranged $12.2 million in financing for the new Riverhouse project under construction in Winooski. Riverhouse is a 72-unit luxury apartment building located along the Winooski River. The property is slated for completion in the summer of 2013. Doug Nedde of Redstone negotiated the loan through People's United Bank.

WACO — Johnson Development has plans to develop a $16 million, 60,000-square-foot medical office facility on the campus of Providence Healthcare Network in Waco. The two-story facility will house family practice physicians, pediatricians and pediatric sub-specialists. The facility will also have capabilities for physical, speech and occupational therapy, imaging, lab and retail pharmacy space. Johnson Development expects to break ground on the facility this fall and to deliver by fall 2013.

DALLAS — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of the 798-unit Las Cascadas, a 599,160-square-foot apartment complex located at 9350 Skillman St. in northeast Dallas. Norman Eastwood and Tommy Lovell III of Marcus & Millichap's Dallas office represented the seller, a partnership based in California, in the transaction. Marcus & Millichap represented the buyer, a local partnership. The community features a swimming pool, sundeck, fitness center, picnic areas, playground and a sports court.

FAIRVIEW AND ALLEN — The Village at Fairview and The Village at Allen, two joint mixed-use developments, have added new tenants. Together, The Village at Fairview and The Village at Allen span more than 3 million square feet, making it the biggest mixed-use development in Texas. The properties are located at the intersection of U.S. 75 and Stacy Road in Fairview and Allen. ULTA Beauty will open a 10,700-square-foot store at The Village at Fairview, Texas Land & Cattle Steak House will open an 8,500-square-foot restaurant at The Village at Fairview and Havertys will open a 50,750-square-foot store at The Village at Allen. Princeton Partners represented the owner, The MGHerring Group, in the Havertys transaction. The MGHerring Group was self-represented in the ULTA and Texas Land & Cattle transactions.
