SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Niki International, a textile company, has sold the former American National Can building at 925 Georges Road in South Brunswick. The 141,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility is situated on 30 acres and previously housed the seller's textile business. The new owner plans to modernize the property and use it for industrial purposes. The building — originally built by the American National Can Co. — features 30- to 40-foot clear ceiling heights, heavy power and rail capabilities. Lou Belfer and Scott Belfer of CBRE Group represented the seller in the transaction. Joe Lubin of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the buyer.
NEW YORK CITY — Harling Chan has sold a six-story apartment building at 109 Madison St. in Manhattan for $4.5 million. The 9,480-square-foot building contains 22 units and two stores. The property is located in southeast Chinatown, which is also known as Two Bridges, situated between the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. TEWKSBURY, MASS. — Craft Floor has acquired a 32,160-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing facility at 19 Barker Road in Tewksbury for $1.6 million. The property, located at the intersection of I-495 and Route 38, is situated on three acres. David Gilkie of NAI Hunneman represented the seller, Flauto Realty Trust, in the transaction. MARLBOROUGH, MASS. — Sepaton Inc., a maker of data backup and recovery solutions for large companies, has signed a 31,511-square-foot lease renewal in Marlborough. The company uses the space at 400 Nickerson Road for its headquarters. The two-story property is located in Marlborough Technology Park, an 85-acre park in the I-495 West submarket. AUSTIN — DivcoWest has purchased the Littlefield and Scarbrough buildings, two office properties totaling approximately 240,000 square feet at Sixth and Congress streets in downtown Austin. DivcoWest bought the historic office buildings from Heitman LLC. The Littlefield Building is 86 percent leased to tenants such as Capital One and HQ Global. The Scarbrough Building is 93 percent leased to retail tenants Gold's Gym, Brooks Brothers and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, as well as office tenants Frog Design and WeissComm Group.
DALLAS — Satterfield & Pontikes Construction has broken ground on a 185,000-square-foot Walmart Supercenter, located at Ledbetter Drive and R.L. Thornton Freeway in south Dallas. The $15.5 million project is slated for a summer 2013 completion. Dallas-based Raymond Harris & Associates is providing architectural services, Ellison Gage & Associates is providing structural engineering services, Henderson Engineers is providing MEP engineering services and Kimley-Horn and Associates is providing civil engineering services.
KATY — BANDIER Realty Partners' Foreclosure Asset Services Team (FAST) has arranged the sale of a foreclosed, 58,602-square-foot retail center, located at 455 Katy Fort Bend Road in Katy. The property is currently 7 percent leased. Jason Tangen and Rob Banzhaf of BANDIER Realty Partners represented the seller, Golden Bank, N.A., in the transaction. BANDIER has turned its efforts to leasing the center on behalf of the buyer, Astra Ventures.
HOUSTON — A historic three-story, 6,122-square-foot office property, located at 3006 Brazos St. in midtown Houston, has been sold. The office building is also known as the Judge Tom Mullins Building. SALT LAKE CITY — The Sun Products Corporation has signed a lease for 1 million square feet of space at Freeport West Landmark Industrial Park in Salt Lake City. This is the largest lease signed so far in Utah in 2012. Sun Products will be consolidating six of its warehouses into two main distribution centers. Sun was represented by Zach Anderson, Bryce Blanchard, Kyle Roberts and Mike Falk of NAI West. Freeport West was represented in-house by Brad Ross.
WESTMINSTER, COLO. – The 228-unit Park Place apartments in Westminster has sold to the Bascom Group for $16.6 million. Financing for the purchase was arranged by HFF’s Charles Halladay, Josh Simon, Jake Young and Anthony Ansevin. The property will be managed by Apartment Management Consultants. Bascom was represented in-house by Scott McClave and Paul Miszkowicz.
