WYOMING, MINN. — Ryan Cos. has broken ground on a 144,000-square-foot expansion of the Polaris Industries Inc. Product Development Center in Wyoming. The expansion will more than double its existing 126,000-square-foot facility, which Ryan constructed in 2005. The $20 million project is expected to be completed in August 2013. Pope Architects is the project architect. The new space will feature large work bays for off-road vehicles, conference and display spaces and a new electrical lab.

CHICAGO — GE Transportation, a unit of General Electric Co., will move its headquarters from Erie to 500 W. Monroe in Chicago. The company will occupy 53,972 square feet of space on the 23rd and 24th floors at the building. 500 W. Monroe is a 1 million-square-foot office tower in the city's West Loop. Steve Smith, Gary Kostecki and Brad Despot of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the building owner, Piedmont Office Realty Trust, in the transaction. Jeff Samaras of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OHIO — Salon Lofts will join Verizon, Dollar Tree and Advance Auto in the Shaker Town Center in Shaker Heights in the spring of 2013. The salon, which is based in Columbus, will occupy 5,040 square feet in a former Blockbuster space. Steve Passov and Tori Nook of Kowit & Passov Real Estate Group represented the landlord, Equity Investments, in the transaction.

NEW YORK CITY — NorthMarq Capital has arranged an $11.4 million loan for the acquisition of Orion, a 42,774-square-foot retail condominium in New York City. The condo is part of a newly constructed 58-story residential high-rise on West 42nd St., just west of Times Square. Icon Parking Garage, Well Green Market and Starbucks are the major tenants at the site. Gregory Nalbandian of NorthMarq negotiated the 5-year, interest-only financing through a regional bank. The borrower is a REIT.

STAMFORD, CONN. — Charter Communications has signed a 75,000-square-foot office lease at 400 Atlantic St. in Stamford. The cable operator will occupy space on two floors of the 15-story tower, and is expected to create 200 new jobs. Charter provides advanced video, high-speed Internet and telephone to approximately 5.2 million residential and business customers in 25 states. The company's new space is located across from the Stamford Train Station and is 35 minutes from Manhattan. Additional tenants in the building include UBS and American Express. David Block and Steven Greenbush of CBRE Group represented the landlord, The Landis Group, in the transaction.

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — GSE Dynamics has purchased a 56,877-square-foot industrial facility at 110 Oser Ave. in Hauppauge for $3.3 million. GSE engineers and manufactures high-tech components for aerospace and defense equipment. The new building features ample power, 16-foot ceiling heights and is ideally suited for high-tech manufacturing. Ben Levy of Sperry Van Ness represented the seller, Anwar Chitayat, in the transaction.

NEW YORK CITY — Blink Fitness has signed an 18,119-square-foot lease at the Concourse Plaza, located just off the Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The 228,000-square-foot Concourse Plaza shopping center is currently undergoing a major renovation and redevelopment. The remodel includes upgrades to the center and the addition of new space for retail. Blink Fitness will be located on three levels at 820 Concourse Plaza. The owner, The Feil Organization, was self-represented by Randall Briskin in the transaction. Peter Levine of Charter Realty and Bill Miller of Blink Fitness represented the tenant.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — Washington Trust's Commercial Real Estate Group has provided a $1.9 million loan to 138 Development Associates for the construction of Brandywine, a 40-unit active adult residential community in South Kingstown. The property will be situated on 23.3 acres off Mooresfield Road. Cate Fusco of Washington Trust served as the lead lender for the project.

CONROE — BANDIER Realty Partners has arranged the sale of the 29,000-square-foot Hilltop Business Park, a four-building industrial park located at 3702 and 3704 Hilltop Drive in Conroe. The property is currently 74 percent leased. Jason Tangen of BANDIER represented the seller, Chrisman Properties, in the transaction.
