LAFAYETTE, IND. — Gander Mountain Co., a retail chain for hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor products, has signed a lease for 48,694 square feet at the Lafayette Pavillions Shopping Center in Lafayette. The center is located at 150 South Creasy Lane. Joe Downs and Ryan Smith of Lauth Property Group represented the landlord in the transaction. Gander Mountain Co. was self-represented.

CHICAGO — Northwestern University Feinberg of Medicine has signed a 61,750-square-foot lease at 633 N. St. Clair St. in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood. The school is filling space being vacated by the advertising agency Draftcb. Steve Smith and Craig Coupe of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the building owner, the American College of Surgeons, in the transaction. Kevin Duckler and Ashley Devick of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the tenant. The deal is one of the 10 largest to be completed in the Chicago CBD so far this year, and the 27-story building is now fully occupied.
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. — The Bulfinch Cos. has acquired Atrium Mall at 300 Boylston St. in Chestnut Hill for $46 million. The seller is Simon Property Group. Bulfinch plans to renovate the 300,000-square-foot property and rename the facility, The Atrium Center at Chestnut Hill, for use as a medical and office center with ground-floor retail. Construction at Atrium Center is set to begin this year. ADD Inc. has been selected as the architect and John Moriarty & Associates will be the project's general contractor. The project is slated for completion in 2013.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. — 121 Centennial Avenue LLC, a local hotel investment group from Edison, N.J., has purchased the 221-room Embassy Suites in Piscataway for $9.7 million. Embassy Suites is situated off Interstate I-287 and is in close proximity to Rutgers University and the Garden State Exhibit Center. Geoff Davis and Ketan Patel of HREC Investment Advisors represented the seller in the transaction.
PHILADELPHIA — Meridian Capital Group has arranged a $51 million mortgage loan for two high-rise multifamily buildings in Philadelphia. The 375-unit property is located on Walnut Street and serves the students of Thomas Jefferson University Medical School. David Fisher and Scott Jackson of Meridian Capital Group negotiated the 7-year loan at an interest rate of 4 percent.
PHILADELPHIA — Centerline Capital Group has arranged a $4.4 million Fannie Mae loan for the refinancing of the Oxford Portfolio, a 117-unit apartment complex in Philadelphia. Built in 1940, the complex consists of seven buildings on four parcels. The borrower acquired the property in 2007 and has invested $175,000 in renovations in the past three years. Owen Breheny, Darell Clark and Michael Hasse of Centerline Capital Group arranged the 10-year loan, which contains a 30-year amortization schedule.
AUSTIN — Hardin Construction Co. has been selected to construct The 704, a 378-unit multifamily property and 20,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space, located in Austin. The 704 will be located adjacent to the landmark Broken Spoke dance hall. The property is scheduled to break ground soon and finish completion by 2014. The multifamily property will feature two pools, an extensive fitness center, a dog run, bocce ball court, outdoor lounges, grilling areas and a rooftop deck. Dallas-based Wilder Belshaw Architects is providing design services and Transwestern owns the project.
COLLEYVILLE — Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has selected Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) to renovate an existing 56,000-square-foot building, located at Colleyville Boulevard and Glade Road in the Colleyville Plaza Shopping Center, and convert it into a Walmart Neighborhood Market. The new store is slated to open in October. The $2.6 million project includes updating the building's facade, replacing existing walls and ceilings, updated plumbing and electrical systems and replacing the roof's rubber membrane.
AUSTIN — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of a 9,000-square-foot Dollar General, located at 6729 Manor Road in Austin. Greg Gaynor and Kelly Smith of Marcus & Millichap's Austin office represented the seller, a developer, in the transaction, and procured the buyer, a private investor.
OKLAHOMA CITY — Dallas-based Metropolitan Capital Advisors has secured a $17.6 million mortgage for the DSB Portfolio, a collection of 16 warehouse properties totaling 504,150 square feet located throughout the Oklahoma City MSA. The properties are collectively 95 percent occupied by tenants such as FedEx, Trane Air Conditioning, Cintas Corp. and the State of Oklahoma DHS. Todd McNeill and Sunny Sajnani arranged the CMBS loan with a 30-year amortization schedule on behalf of the borrowers: DSB Properties, Gardner Realty Properties and Santa Fe Development.
