GREEN BAY, WIS., GRANDVILLE, MICH. — Construction is under way on two new Cabela's stores in Wisconsin and Michigan. Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. is building an 88,000-square-foot Cabela's store in Rivertown Mall in Grandville, a suburb of Grand Rapids. The new store is slated to open in the spring of 2013. Kraus-Anderson has also broken ground on a Cabela's location on Highway 41 and Lombardi Avenue in Green Bay. The Green Bay Packers organization owns the land and is leasing it to Cabela's. The store is scheduled to open in the summer of 2013. Both stores will feature wildlife displays, a gun library, aquarium, boat shop and deli.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tops Friendly Markets has agreed to buy 21 supermarkets in New York and Vermont from GU Markets, an affiliate of C&S Wholesale Grocers. The sale includes 20 Grand Union stores and one Bryant's supermarket. The stores will continue to operate under their current names and will retain the existing 600 employees. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The sale is expected to close by this fall. Tops Friendly Markets is based in Buffalo, and the acquisition brings the number of stores operated by the company to 153.

FALL RIVER, MASS. — New England Construction has completed a 20,000-square-foot renovation of Bristol Community College's new Workforce Center, located at Commonwealth Landing in Fall River. The center includes 28 offices and 11 classrooms and will house the college's corporate education services, community education and workforce literacy program. The project included the construction of a new stair tower and upgrades to the building's existing lobby and elevator. The property is located at 1080 Davol St.

NORMAN, OKLA. — Campus Crest Communities has commenced construction on The Grove at Norman, a 224-unit, 600-bed student housing community located 0.6 miles from The University of Oklahoma in Norman. The community is expected to cost approximately $26.4 million to develop and is slated to open in fall 2013. The student housing development will feature a resort-style pool, game room, fitness center and library. Campus Crest has formed a joint venture with Harrison Street Real Estate to develop the community, and Campus Crest will own 20 percent of the community upon completion.

PASADENA — The Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) has broken ground on Phase I of its 67,000-square-foot training campus, located at 5213 Center St. in Pasadena. The new property represents a two-year initiative to expand HASC's safety training capabilities to handle the overflow of the Deer Park headquarters. Kirksey Architecture designed the property and Tellepsen Builders will build the facility, which is slated for a 2013 completion. The training facility will feature a 220-seat auditorium with stadium seating, computer lab with 725 workstations and parking for 800 vehicles.

HOUSTON — McCarthy Building Cos. has been selected to renovate The University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital, located on the ninth floor of the Alkek Tower at MD Anderson in Houston. Construction is under way on the infrastructure upgrade. McCarthy Building completed construction last year on the MD Anderson Cancer Center Alkek Hospital's 12-story vertical expansion.

DALLAS — HollyFrontier Corp., a Fortune 500 company, has signed a lease for an additional 14,203 square feet of office space for a total of 60,045 square feet at 2828, an 11-story office tower located in Dallas' HARWOOD district. Bill McClung and Mike Wyatt of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant in the lease transaction. Harwood was self-represented by Jihane Boury and Peter Sleiman. The lease transaction brings 2828 tower to 97.5 percent occupancy.

SAN DIEGO – The Lewis Medical building, a 22,461-square-foot medical office building in San Diego, has sold to Coast Income Properties for $9.7 million. The building is located at 330 Lewis Street. It is fully occupied by UC San Diego Health System. The property was purchased as a triple-net leased investment. Coast Income Properties was represented by Paul Braun and Chris Ross of Colliers International. The seller, KAMF San Diego LLC, was represented by Mel Coffman of California Commercial Properties.
