ALLENTOWN, PA. — Lehigh Valley Express, a trucking storage and specialized freight company, has signed a lease for 17,800 square feet of flex space at 6690 Grant Way in Allentown. The lease marks the company's second Lehigh Valley location. Jay Haines of NAI Summit represented the tenant in the transaction.
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Renovations are complete at Vermont Plaza Apartments, a 15-story apartment building at 130 S. Vermont Ave. in Atlantic City. River Drive Construction Co. served as general contractor for the project on behalf of Sencit Vermont Associates LP. The project included substantial roof replacement and upgrades as well as parking garage improvements. Feinberg & Associates PC was the architect. The Vermont Plaza is located next to the Revel Casino and Resort and the Atlantic City Lighthouse.
MARLBOROUGH, MASS. — Weetabix has signed a lease for 14,907 square feet of office space at the Marlborough Technology Park. Weetabix, a United Kingdom-based breakfast cereal manufacturer, will relocate to 300 Nickerson Rd. from Clinton, Mass. John Lashar, Paul Leone and Samantha Howell of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC represented the landlord, Normandy Real Estate Partners, in the transaction. Jones Lang LaSalle represented the tenant.
BEDFORD — SkyWalker Property Partners has purchased a 70,938-square-foot office building, located at 3301 W. Airport Freeway in Bedford. The property is 57 percent occupied and is in a construction zone. SkyWalker was self-represented by Gary Walker and Shane Benner in the transaction. Tom Strohbehn of Grubb & Ellis represented the seller, a California-based family trust. Renee Efimoff and Justin McCarthy of SCM Real Estate Services will handle leasing responsibilities for the property.
DRIPPING SPRINGS — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of the 11,344-square-foot Prosperity Bank building, located at 721 W. Highway 290 in Dripping Springs. Greg Gaynor of Marcus & Millichap's Austin office and Ron Hebert of the firm's Dallas office represented the seller, a REIT, in the transaction.
HOUSTON — Chartway Federal Credit Union has purchased the former Washington Mutual Bank building, a 3,685-square-foot property located at 4373 FM 1960 Road W in Houston. Marshall Clinkscales of Colliers International represented the buyer in the transaction. Peter Licata of Hunington Properties represented the seller, Forest Chase 4373 FM 1960 LLC.
HOUSTON — Sonesta International Hotels Corp. will rebrand the 485-room former Intercontinental Hotel Houston as The Royal Sonesta Hotel Houston, a Four Diamond, 23-story property located in Houston's Galleria area. The hotel offers 50,000 square feet of meeting space, restaurants, a swimming pool and a 24-hour health club. The hotel is slated to come under Sonesta's management in July.
DALLAS — HFF has secured a $22.7 million loan for the 296,360-square-foot 10000 NCX, a Class A office building located along Interstate 75 between Walnut Hill Lane and Royal Lane in Dallas. Travis Anderson of HFF arranged the three-year loan with a one-year extension through GE Capital Real Estate on behalf of the borrower, a joint venture between CREA Investments and Five Mile Capital Partners. The borrower is planning on using the loan to renovate the restrooms, make improvements to the corridor, update the lobby and add a fitness center.
PASADENA, CALIF. – A 10,583-square-foot retail building that resides along Pasadena’s South Lake Avenue Retail District has sold to a private investor from Beverly Hills, Calif., for an undisclosed sum. The building is located at 320 South Lake Ave. and was vacant at the time of sale. Other retailers in the neighborhood include Macy’s, Anthropologie, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn Kids, Talbots, Ann Taylor, Pacific Sales, Corner Bakery and Trader Joe's. The buyer was represented by Patrick Luther and Nicholas Coo of Faris Lee Investments. The seller, a private investor from Encino, Calif., was represented by Carlos J. Lopez of Hanley Investment Urban Retail Advisors.
TACOMA, WASH. –Two ground-leased properties in Tacoma, including a Jack in the Box and Harborstone, have sold to an unnamed buyer for $2.7 million. They are located at 4720 Center Street and boast a total of 7,681 square feet. Peter Nisbet of Marcus & Millichap’s Seattle office represented the seller, a limited liability company, in this transaction.
