CHICAGO — Chicago Title Insurance has leased 86,207 square feet of office space at 10 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago, according to the building's owner, New York-based Feil Organization. The firm will occupy floors 30 through 32 of the building, plus part of the 27th floor. In addition, Facebook Inc. has renewed and expanded its lease at the building to 7,932 square feet. Biotech company Chromatin Inc. has inked a new lease for 6,856 square feet. Feil also announced five additional new leases or renewals totaling more than 15,000 square feet. 10 S. LaSalle is a 37-story office tower in Chicago's Loop.

LAWRENCE, KAN. — Ross Dress for Less has signed a 22,000-square-foot lease at Pine Ridge Plaza in Lawrence. The owner, Retail Properties of America, was represented in-house by Maria Pope. Pine Ridge is a 236,492-square-foot shopping center and is located less than three miles from the University of Kansas.
ST. PAUL, MINN. — FILO Productions, an event management company, has signed a lease for 25,000 square feet of office and warehouse space at 1810 Como Ave. in St. Paul. Joe Hughes and Jerry Driessen of CBRE Group represented the tenant in the transaction. Wellington Management owns the property.
LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. — Hain Celestial, a natural and organic food group, plans to expand its corporate headquarters in New York. The company leased 86,000 square feet in Lake Success and plans to invest $10 million in relocating and expanding its main office. Hain's move from Melville, N.Y. is supported by an incentive package from Empire State Development that provides $4.5 million in tax credits. The company will relocate its existing 250 Long Island-based employees and create more than 100 new jobs during the next 10 years.
BROOKLYN — A 16-unit apartment building at 5122 Snyder Ave. in Brooklyn has sold for $1.2 million to a private investor. Matthew Fotis and Shaun Riney of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a private investor, in the transaction. They also represented the buyer.
UNIONDALE, N.Y. — Developers BF Development and Basser-Kaufman have broken ground on a Walgreens drugstore at 585 Uniondale Ave. in Uniondale. The 13,000-square-foot store will include a drive-through window and will be situated on a 1.3-acre site. The store represents a departure from Walgreens' prototype, which is approximately 14,820 square feet. The project required developers to assemble five contiguous parcels owed by five separate owners in order to obtain the necessary acreage for the store. The developers have a triple-net lease with Walgreens for the site and the project is expected to be complete this winter.
NEW YORK CITY — Daniel Hilpert of Mortgage Equicap has arranged a $2.2 million ground-up construction loan for a condominium development in the East Village. Mortgage Equicap placed the loan with a conventional lender on behalf of the borrower, a foreign developer. The loan was structured with limited recourse.
TEXAS — National Health Investors (NHI) has exercised an option to purchase and lease a new 125-bed skilled nursing facility in Texas for $13.4 million. The property is operated by affiliates of Legend Healthcare LLC. The acquisition will be funded from available cash and NHI's revolving credit facility.
DALLAS —The Plano Independent School District has selected Cadence McShane to renovate and expand the 95,632-square-foot Mitchell Elementary School, located at 4223 Briargrove Road in Dallas. The redevelopment program includes an addition of 34,376 square feet, which will feature 42 classrooms, a gymnasium, cafeteria, kitchen and library. SHW Group is providing architectural services for the school, which is slated for completion in August 2013.
WYLIE — Colliers International has arranged the purchase of a 41,700-square-foot industrial property, located at 940 Hensley Lane in Wylie. The property consists of three properties — an 8,500-square-foot office building, a 30,000-square-foot warehouse and a 3,200-square-foot storage building. Allen Gump of Colliers International, along with Hugh Resnick of Pizel & Associates Commercial Real Estate, represented the buyer, Barthalow Rentals Co., in the transaction. Jeff White and Mike McCartan of Mark V Commercial represented the seller.
