NEW YORK CITY — Harlem 546-146 Associates LLC has sold a three-building portfolio at 546-52 W. 146th St. in West Harlem for $8.9 million. The three buildings are approximately 46,420 square feet and contain 70 apartment units. Victor Sozio, Shimon Shkury, Michael Tortorici and Jesse Deutch of Ariel Property Advisors represented the seller in the transaction. Calota Sosa and Mark Griffith of CitiHabitats represented the buyer, an international group.

ERIE, PA. — Cooper Commercial Investment Group has arranged the $1 million sale of West 38th Street Plaza, a retail center at 2301 W. 38th St. in Erie. The 96,000-square-foot center contains 78,000 square feet of vacant, big-box space as well as a 4-acre outparcel for future development. Tenants include Subway and Snap Fitness. Bob Havasi and Dan Cooper of Cooper Commercial represented the sellers, DDR Erie LLC, in the transaction. The buyers were a private group based in Erie.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Homewood Suites by Hilton has opened a new 120-suite hotel in Atlantic City. Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlantic City West /Egg Harbor Township includes studio, one- and two-bedroom suites. The hotel also includes an indoor pool, fitness center and business center. The property is located within minutes of the Hamilton Mall and the Atlantic City Boardwalk and Casinos. The Briad Group owns and manages the four-story hotel.

NEW YORK CITY — The World Trade Center tower, constructed to replace the twin towers that were leveled on 9/11, has edged out the Empire State Building as the tallest building in New York City. On Monday, crews installed steel columns on top of the tower, which surpassed the 1,250-foot high Empire State Building. When finished, One World Trade Center will stand 1,776 feet tall. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2013. The property is being jointly developed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and The Durst Organization. The building is expected to be the tallest in the western hemisphere. Burj Khalifa in Dubai remains the world's tallest building at 2,723 feet.

FRISCO — A 120-room Holiday Inn, located at 3400 Parkwood Blvd. in Frisco, has been sold in an all-cash transaction. Chris Gomes of Marcus & Millichap's Dallas office and Allan Miller of the firm's San Antonio office represented the seller, United Central Bank of Dallas, in the transaction. Michael Yu and Rahul Bijlani of Marcus & Millichap's Houston office procured the buyer.

WAXAHACHIE — Mohrle-Morris & Associates has secured $3.5 million in first mortgage refinancing for the 150-unit Victorian Square Apartments, located at 1831 John Arden Dr. in Waxahachie. Mike Brandenberger of Mohrle-Morris arranged the 10-year loan with a 25-year amortization schedule through Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Co. on behalf of the borrower, Swiss/M Two LP.

CARROLLTON — Brook Furniture Rental has moved its metropolitan Dallas showroom to a 43,000-square-foot facility, located at 2100 Luna Rd., Ste. 100 in Carrollton. The new property is twice as big as the original location. Conrad Madsen of Lee & Associates represented the tenant in the multi-year lease transaction. The landlord, Billingsley Co., was self-represented by Carter Crow.
