BOSTON — ARC/Architectural Resources Cambridge was selected by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to design a new cancer research facility at the Longwood Center in Boston. The facility will be housed in approximately 154,000 square feet of space on five floors. Work on the project is expected to begin in 2012, with move-ins to begin at the end of 2014. Bryan Thorp of ARC will serve as the project manager.

EAST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, PA. — L'Oreal USA has signed a 12-year lease for 193,000 square feet at 75 Steamboat Blvd. in East Manchester Township. The building was previously used as a material handling facility for Harley Davidson Motor Co. L'Oreal will use the industrial facility for its Salon Centric division, with overnight deliveries to retail locations throughout the Northeast. The facility is scheduled to be fully operational by this fall. L'Oreal plans to expand the building by 92,500 square feet and R.S. Mowery & Sons is serving as construction manager for the building improvements. Ed Dudzinski and Richard Greenberg of Atlantic Real Estate Services represented the tenant in the transaction. NEW YORK CITY — Ford Motors/Bay Ridge Automotive Corp. LLC has signed a 33,000-square-foot lease at 140 58th St. in Brooklyn, for a new Ford Motors service facility. The company will also have access to a 55,000-square-foot yard. Robert Klein of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates represented the tenant in the transaction. He also represented the owner, the New York City Economic Development Corp.
HOUSTON — Trammell Crow Co. has partnered with Prudential Real Estate Investors and The Morgan Group to sell the 253,000-square-foot Greenway Commons, a Class A super-regional power center located at 3838 Richmond Ave. in Houston. The property is currently 96 percent occupied by tenants including Costco Wholesale, LA Fitness, Iberia Bank, Buffalo Wild Wings, Panda Express and Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. Phoenix-based Cole Real Estate Investments purchased the property, and Houston-based CDA Architects designed the facility.
AUSTIN — Austin-based HTH Capital has been selected to lead the development of the 62,000-square-foot Midtown Medical Tower, a mixed-use property consisting of office space, medical office space and retail, located at the intersection of 38th Street and Lamar Boulevard in Austin. The property is more than 50 percent pre-leased to tenants such as Texas Orthopedics and Texas Perinatal Group. Completion is slated for early 2013.
AUSTIN — Irvine, Calif.-based Silverado Senior Living has teamed with Dallas-based Meridian Realty Advisors to develop the 45,000-square-foot Silverado Senior Living-Onion Creek, a memory care facility to be located on 5 acres at 1700 Onion Creek Pkwy. in Austin. The $12 million facility will be Silverado's eighth memory care facility in Texas. The new property is slated for a late 2012 completion.
DALLAS — Henry S. Miller Brokerage has arranged the sale of Las Brisas, located at 4203 Gilbert Ave., and the Villas at Bowser, located at 4330 Bowser Ave., two multifamily properties totaling 67 units, located in Dallas. Lane Kommer of Henry S. Miller's Dallas/Fort Worth office represented the seller, California REIT, Cityview, in the transaction. Grant Guest of Dallas-based Perry Guest Co. procured the buyer and will be handling construction of the interior and exterior renovations.
FORT WORTH — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of the 33,120-square-foot Trail Lake Plaza, a retail center located at 5016 Trail Lake Dr. in Fort Worth. Philip Levy of Marcus & Millichap's Fort Worth office represented the seller, a private investor, in the transaction. Vincent Knipp, also of the firm's Fort Worth office, procured the buyers, a limited liability company and a private investor.
ENCINITAS, CALIF. — Westcore Properties has purchased a 37,398-square-foot office building in Encinitas for $6.8 million. The building is fully leased to tenants like Scripps Health and St. Katherine’s College. Westcore was represented by Joe Anderson and Rick Reeder of Cassidy Turley. The seller, HBTFT, LLC, was represented by Strom Commercial.
LONG BEACH, CALIF. – A six-property, 52-unit multifamily portfolio in Long Beach has sold to Riva Investments, Keely Partners and Jehan Shahid for $4,935,000. The bank-owned REO portfolio contains four properties that were fully occupied at the time of sale. All six properties were well maintained and recently upgraded. The portfolio includes the eight-unit 1352 Molino Ave.; the 12-unit 1765 Cedar Ave.; the six-unit 630 Nebraska Ave.; the 10-unit 761 Rose Ave.; the eight-unit 924 Gaviota Ave.; and the eight-unit 222 East Market. The seller, CRE LJ CA LLC, a Delaware limited liability company c/o OneWest Bank, FSB of Pasadena, Calif., was represented by Robert Stepp, Dean Zander and Vince Norris of Hendricks & Partners’ West Los Angeles office.
