WOBURN, MASS. — Linear Retail Properties has acquired West Marine Plaza in Woburn for $5.3 million. The 32,515-square-foot shopping center is located at 299 Mishawum Rd., across from the Woburn Mall. The retail property was developed in 1993 for Toys “R” Us, and is currently fully leased to West Marine and Sleepy's. Peter Considine and Scott Black of The Dartmouth Co. and Aaron Savin of ECHO Retail represented the seller, Office Depot Inc., in the transaction. They also procured the buyer.

ADDISON — The $3.5 million makeover of the 547-room Dallas/Addison Marriott Quorum has been completed. The renovation includes the creation of the Marriott Great Room, expanded meeting space at The Quorum Ballroom and the Blueprint meeting room, a new bar and restaurant (Addison Grill and Texas Food and Cocktails), a new We Proudly Brew Starbucks outlet, an upgraded front desk, a business center and retail space.
LAS COLINAS — TMG-C Decor has purchased a 118,000-square-foot industrial building, located at 1411 W. Walnut Hill Ln. in Las Colinas. The building will serve as the company's corporate headquarters. Larry Robbins of Dallas-based Capstone Commercial and Allen Gump of Colliers International's Dallas office negotiated the transaction.
HOUSTON — HFF has secured acquisition financing for the 227-unit Meyergrove Apartments, located at 4605 N. Braeswood Blvd. in southwest Houston. The seven-building community is currently 99 percent occupied. Colby Mueck of HFF's Houston office led the team, which arranged the 10-year FNMA loan through Greystone Servicing Corp. on behalf of the borrower, Rockwell Management Corp.
SOUTHLAKE — Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services has arranged a 94,993-square-foot, full-building lease in Heritage Business Park Building 1, located at 1100 Kimball Ave. in Southlake. Michael Spain of Bradford Commercial represented the landlord, Hawaii-based A&B Properties, in the lease transaction. Reggie Beavan of Jackson & Cooksey represented the tenant, Specialized Products Co.
SAN LEANDRO, CALIF. — Berber Food Manufacturing has signed a five-year lease renewal at 425 Hester Street in San Leandro. The company occupies 84,524 square feet at this light industrial facility. Berber was represented by Jim Bohar of Grubb & Ellis. The landlord, Hester Street Associates, dba Lowenberg Corporation, was represented by Greig Lagomarsino of Colliers’ Oakland, Calif., office.
NATIONAL CITY, CALIF. — The Holiday Inn Express San Diego South has opened in National City, a suburb of San Diego. The hotel is owned by IHG and contains a 24-hour business center, fitness center and 750 square feet of meeting space.
ARLINGTON, VA. — Lowe Enterprises has commenced construction on the $70 million renovation of the 308,000-square-foot 1400 Crystal Drive, a 13-story office building located in the Arlington submarket of Crystal City. The redevelopment will include the addition of a floor-to-ceiling glass facade and expansion of existing floor plates. The building is designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification. Completion is slated for April 2013.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Greensboro, N.C.-based Bell Partners has acquired the 214-unit Morrison at South Park Apartments, located at 721 Governor Morrison St. in Charlotte. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, clubroom and courtyards. The buyer plans to upgrade several of the amenities and renovate all units.
ORLANDO, FLA. — The design-build team of SchenkelShultz Architecture and McCree General Contractors has commenced construction on the $13.3 million, 59,511-square-foot Valencia College West Campus Building 10, located at 1800 S. Kirkman Rd. in Orlando. The three-story facility will house Valencia's Continuing and International Education office, the Office of Information Technology, classrooms, a testing center, administrative offices and meeting rooms. Completion is slated for January 2013.
