TORRANCE, CALIF. — Regency Centers has begun construction on South Bay Village, a 109,293-square-foot neighborhood center in Torrance. The center will be anchored by Orchard Supply Hardware and HomeGoods. They are both scheduled to open in September. In addition to these anchors, the center will include a future 30,000-square-foot anchor and one outparcel. South Bay Village will be constructed on the site of a former Kmart. The center is being built by Moorefield Construction and designed by Architects Orange.

SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Relectric Supply Company has leased a 76,972-square-foot industrial building in North San Jose that is located at 2390 Zanker Road. Relectric is relocating from a 26,000-square-foot facility it had leased on nearby Rogers Avenue. The new space will provide Relectric with warehouse/manufacturing and office space. The company was represented by Steve Horton and Kelly Yoder with Cassidy Turley. The building is owned by RREEF.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 156,766-square-foot office building, located at 2011 L Street NW in Washington, D.C., has sold for $61.75 million. The 10-story office building includes tenants such as The Peace Corps, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Economic Consulting Services and Levine, Blaszak, Block, Boothby. Transwestern represented the seller, Equity L Street, in the transaction. Minshall Stewart Properties was the buyer.

CARY, N.C. — CASTO has plans to start the 200,000-square-foot Phase II of Park West Village, a 100-acre, mixed-use development located in Cary. Phase II will include tenants such as a 55,000-square-foot, 14-screen Stone Theaters movie theater, a 52,000-square-foot Gander Mountain and a 6,000-square-foot The Wine Guy Bistro. Gander Mountain will open this fall and Stone Theaters is slated for completion in early 2013.

STOCKBRIDGE, GA. — Piedmont Henry Hospital and Ackerman Medical have plans to build the $11 million, 60,000-square-foot Henry Physician Center, located at the intersection of Eagle's Landing Parkway and Rock Quarry Road in Stockbridge. The 3-story building will be located at the entrance of the hospital's campus. Groundbreaking is scheduled for this summer, with completion slated for early 2013.

PORT SAINT LUCIE, FLA. — A 14,736-square-foot Walgreens, located at 5505 NW St. James Dr. in Port Saint Lucie, has sold for $7.77 million. Stephen Heim of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based NAI Rauch Weaver Norfleet Kurtz & Co. represented St. James Capital, the buyer, in the transaction. Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, St. Andrews Park II.

DES MOINES — A partnership between The Toro Co. and Ryan Cos. has broken ground on a 450,000-square-foot distribution center near Des Moines. Toro will lease the facility from Ryan Cos. once construction is completed later this year. Toro plans to move its distribution operations from its current facilities in Lakeville, Minn. and Beatrice, Neb. to the new Des Moines facility. The facility will employ about 20 people. The Toro Co. manufactures lawn care products such as mowers and irrigation systems.

MOUNT PROSPECT, ILL. — Cost Plus World Market will open a new store at 151 Euclid Ave. in Mount Prospect. The 18,300-square-foot store will be the specialty retailer's 13th location in Illinois. Located in the Randhurst Village Shopping Center, the store will carry home furniture and decor, fashion accessories, personal care products, gourmet food and wine. The store opens to the public March 29.

NEW HAVEN, IND. — Rent-A-Center, a chain of rent-to-own stores offering furniture, appliances and electronics, has signed a 4,300-square-foot retail lease in New Haven. The property is located in the Meadowbrook Shopping Center at 906 Lincoln Highway West. Stanley Phillips of NAI Harding Dahm represented the landlord, Fort Wayne New Haven Associates LP, in the transaction.
