BARTLETT, TENN. — Atlanta-based Branch Properties LLC has acquired Bartlett Towne Center, a 192,624-square-foot, Kroger-anchored shopping center located at 6045 Stage Road in Bartlett, roughly 13 miles east of Memphis. Jim Hamilton and Richard Reid of HFF marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Houston-based Weingarten Realty Investors. The sales price was not disclosed. At the time of sale, Bartlett Towne Center was 94 percent leased to tenants including Petco, Dollar Tree, Shoe Carnival, Rent-A-Center, Sally Beauty, FedEx and Mattress Firm, among others.

SAN ANTONIO, MIDLAND AND ODESSA, TEXAS — Starwood Capital Group has arranged $35.8 million in financing for seven retail properties located in San Antonio, Midland and Odessa. The portfolio spans 308,328 square feet and is 95 percent leased, collectively. Todd McNeill of Metropolitan Capital Advisors Ltd. arranged the fixed-rate loan, which features a fixed 5.45 percent interest rate and a 30-year amortization schedule, on behalf of the borrower, a tenants-in-common partnership.
OAKLAND, CALIF. — Trammell Crow Residential and KTGY Architecture + Planning have broken ground on Alexan Webster, a mixed-use development being built on a parking lot at 2330 Webster St. in the Lake Merritt neighborhood of Oakland. Designed by KTGY, the 1.4-acre redevelopment project will feature a 234-unit apartment community, 15,000 square feet of street-front retail space and a public and residential parking garage. The $135 million sustainable development will also feature 5,000 square feet of indoor amenity and leasing office space, as well as a lap pool, business center, 24-hour fitness center, outdoor kitchen, bicycle repair center and storage and a rooftop deck. The residential component will feature a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 610 square feet to 1,160 square feet. Completion is slated for summer 2019.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. — Marcus & Millichap has brokered the sale of Seagate Plaza, a shopping center located at 16107 Bolsa Chica St. in Huntington Beach. Cathy Investments acquired the property from Asbury Properties for $10.8 million. Carl’s Jr., Seagate Veterinary Hospital, Classic Cleaners, Seagate Liquor & Grocery, Subway and Coastline Dental occupy the 30,234-square-foot retail plaza, which was built in 1975. Joseph Lising of Marcus & Millichap represented the buyer in the 1031-exchange transaction.
ORANGE, CALIF. — Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors (CBC Advisors) has arranged the sale of Shops at Stater Bros, a multi-tenant retail strip center located on Tustin Avenue in Orange. A local buyer acquired the retail center for $3.8 million. The property features 14,575 square feet of retail space. Scott Hook of CBC Advisors represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.
TEMECULA, CALIF. — Colliers International has arranged the acquisition of a multi-tenant retail and industrial property located at 41735 Winchester Road in Temecula. Anderson Family Trust acquired the property from Winchester Group JV for $3.2 million. Redline Athletics, The Springs Community Church and All Star Promotions, among others, occupy the 27,924-square-foot building, which was fully occupied at the time of sale. Joe Brady of Colliers represented the buyer, while John Pfaffl of Jonan Property Services represented the seller in the deal.
OAK BROOK, ILL. — Michael Jordan’s Restaurant has opened in Oak Brook, about 20 miles west of Chicago. Executive chef Craig Couper, who also heads the kitchen at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in downtown Chicago, prepares some of Jordan’s signature items, including prime Delmonico ribeye steaks. In addition to lunch and dinner, the restaurant features made-to-order coffee brewed by Metric Coffee. Michael Jordan’s Restaurant seats 150 diners, not including the 90-seat bar and 68-seat patio. Chicago-based DMAC Architecture designed the restaurant. Cornerstone Restaurant Group oversees all seven Michael Jordan-branded restaurants.
NEW YORK CITY — Trion Real Estate Management has purchased a five-story, mixed-use building located at 818 10th Ave. in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen. A local interest group sold the building for $11.5 million, or $932.68 per square foot. Built in 1910, the 12,330-square-foot building features 12 residential apartments and two restaurants, Mamasita Mex and White Oak Oyster Bar & Cocktail Lounge. Peter Vanderpool of Cignature Realty Associates represented the seller and buyer in the deal.
UPPER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP, PA. — Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) has arranged the sale of a commercial building located at 212 Church Road in Upper Gwynedd Township, approximately 30 miles north of Philadelphia. Patriarch VIII, a part of Patriarch Management, sold the one-story building to Gorman & Co. for $3.7 million. The buyer plans to convert the 94,000-square-foot building into a high-end, climate-controlled self-storage facility. Neil Shupak and Justin Bell of NKF represented the seller in the transaction.
COLUMBIA, MO. — Hawthorn Bank has signed a 9,000-square-foot lease for a new bank branch in downtown Columbia. The bank will occupy the first two floors of the Plaza 807 office building once construction is complete on the new property. The five-story building, located at 807 E. Walnut St., will total 36,000 square feet. East 280 LLC owns the property. Professional Contractors & Engineers Inc. is the general contractor, while Simon Oswald Architecture is providing architectural services. Completion is slated for March 2018.
