MENTOR AND AKRON, OHIO — Aaron's Inc. is adding two new locations to Northeast Ohio later this year. A 6,5000-square-foot store will open on Mentor Avenue in Mentor and a 7,600-square-foot store will open in Harvest Plaza in Akron. Aaron's Inc. offers furniture, electronics, home appliances and accessories for sale or lease. Greg Guyuron of Kowit & Passov Real Estate Group represented Aaron's in both lease transactions.

SAN ANTONIO — Linsalata Realty Services has brokered the sale of a 10,845-square-foot shopping center, located at 8806-8826 Bandera Road in northwest San Antonio. The property is currently 85 percent leased. Joe Linsalata of Linsalata Realty Services represented the buyer, San Antonio-based Miura Investments, in the transaction. Brad Bailey of The Weitzman Group represented the seller.

BRENTWOOD, CALIF. — The Streets of Brentwood, a 305,428-square-foot lifestyle center in the West Los Angeles submarket of Brentwood, has sold to a partnership between DRA Advisors and RED Development for $72.1 million. It is located at 2565 Sand Creek Road. The acquisition also included a parcel of land approved for Phase II development and 110,000 square feet of additional retail space. Notable tenants at the center include REI, Banana Republic, DSW, Ulta Cosmetics, Ann Taylor and Jos. A. Bank. It is anchored by a 14-screen Rave Theater. Alfred Hackbarth of SRS Real Estate Partners represented both the buyer and the seller, Brentwood Specialty Center, LLC, in this transaction.

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. – A 1,987-square-foot retail property in Santa Monica has sold to an unnamed buyer for $1.85 million. It is located at 2301 Wilshire Blvd. across from a Whole Foods Market. The buyer was represented by Mitch Stokes of Madison Partners. The unnamed seller was represented by Geno St. John, William Althouse and T.C. Macker of Coldwell Banker Commercial WESTMAC.

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. — Regency Centers (NYSE: REG), a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored shopping centers, will renovate the 78,583-square-foot Carriage Gate, a neighborhood center located at Thomasville Road and State Road 261 north of Interstate 10 in Tallahassee. Trader Joe’s, which is new to the market, will open a 13,000-square-foot space in Carriage Gate in 2013. Regency also secured a long-term lease with existing anchor T.J. Maxx, which is in a 25,600-square-foot space. The shopping center, which was built in 1978, will be renovated with a new exterior facade and awnings, and the parking lot will be reconfigured for improved traffic flow and additional parking.

MAPLE GROVE, ILL. — Oppidan Investment Co. has started construction on a new, 20,600-square-foot Goodwill store in Maple Grove. The facility is being built on two acres owned by the developer at 13644 80th Circle N. The store will be Goodwill's second location in Maple Grove. Construction is slated for completion in January. Goodwill, which will lease the building from Oppidan, has not yet announced an opening date.

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OHIO — Parmatown Realty I has acquired a 14,519-square-foot retail building leased to National Tire & Battery in Mayfield Heights for $2.8 million. National Tire & Battery has 21 years remaining on its 25-year lease. The property includes 3,998 square feet of vacant space. Mark Luttner of Luttner Real Estate Investment Services represented the buyer in the transaction. The seller is Mayfield Heights TK LLC.
